Hudson Mobile Home Community Introduce
Welcome to Hudson Mobile Home Community, located at 202 E Railroad St in Hudson, Indiana. Situated in Steuben County, this community offers a residential setting with manufactured homes. For local users searching for 'RV parks near me' or considering alternative long-term accommodation options in the Hudson area, it is crucial to consider the contrasting experiences and opinions expressed in the available reviews of Hudson Mobile Home Community.
Hudson Mobile Home Community can be contacted directly at the phone number (260) 200-3783 or the mobile phone number +1 260-200-3783 for inquiries regarding residency, availability, and community policies. Direct communication with the management is essential for obtaining the most current and detailed information, especially given the changes in management mentioned in the reviews.
Based on the available online reviews, Hudson Mobile Home Community presents a complex picture with both positive and significant negative feedback. One reviewer notes that most people in the community are friendly and tend to keep to themselves, which can be appealing to those who value a degree of privacy while still living in a community setting. This reviewer also mentions a new park manager who is reportedly doing well in trying to take care of things, suggesting potential positive changes in the management of the community.
However, another, more extensive review paints a starkly different picture, expressing highly negative sentiments about the property management, particularly under previous administration. This reviewer describes the management as "horrible" and "uninvolved," claiming that the property manager was unfit for the role, resorted to lies to avoid confrontation, and actively made life difficult for certain residents, including single mothers and those receiving local assistance. These are serious allegations that prospective residents should be aware of.
The negative review also details a number of restrictive rules imposed by the management. Residents were allegedly prohibited from placing fences, even temporary ones, and were not allowed playpens or swing sets, even if not permanently installed. The reviewer notes a lack of personal decoration on the properties, suggesting a restrictive environment regarding residents' ability to personalize their living spaces. This was allegedly enforced unevenly, with only a "chosen few" being allowed to display decorations, despite the fact that, according to the reviewer, 90% of residents own their mobile homes.
Further restrictions mentioned include a ban on RV or boat parking, even within a resident's designated spot if it doesn't take up extra room. Perhaps the most concerning allegations relate to the resale and removal of mobile homes. The reviewer claims that the park management has implemented a "right to refuse" and "right to first refusal" on sales, effectively limiting residents' ability to sell their homes to buyers of their choice or to move their homes out of the community. The reviewer recounts a personal experience of trying to sell their home to a needy family, only to have the management intervene with a matching offer or threaten to block the sale. They also state that moving the home was prohibited, despite residents being responsible for repairs on homes that the reviewer claims were sourced from a mobile home scrap yard and received only minimal repairs.
Considering the platform category 'RV parks near me,' Hudson Mobile Home Community offers a different type of long-term living arrangement compared to the temporary stays typically associated with RV parks. While RV parks cater to recreational vehicles and short-term visitors, mobile home parks like Hudson Mobile Home Community provide a more permanent residential setting with manufactured homes. However, for individuals searching for a long-term living option in the Hudson area, the strongly contrasting reviews of Hudson Mobile Home Community highlight significant factors to consider alongside any potential benefits of the location or the reported improvements under new management.
The positive mention of friendly neighbors and a new manager trying to improve things offers a glimmer of hope for the community's future. Prospective residents might want to inquire specifically about the changes being implemented by the new management and their vision for the community.
However, the serious allegations regarding the previous management's conduct, the restrictive rules, and the limitations on resale and home removal are significant red flags. It would be crucial for prospective residents to thoroughly investigate the current management's policies on these issues and to seek assurances that past problematic practices have been discontinued.
The claims about the condition of the mobile homes being poor due to their alleged origin from a scrap yard with minimal repairs also warrant careful consideration. Prospective buyers or renters should thoroughly inspect any available homes and inquire about their history and condition.
The restrictions on personalizing properties with fences, play equipment, and decorations could be a significant drawback for those who wish to create a more personalized and family-friendly outdoor space.
The limitations on parking for RVs and boats, even within designated spots, could be inconvenient for residents who own such vehicles.
The allegations regarding the right to refuse sales and the inability to move homes are particularly concerning as they significantly impact residents' property rights and financial flexibility. Prospective residents should seek clear and legally sound information regarding the terms of their lease or ownership agreements concerning these matters.
Currently, there is no specific promotional information available for Hudson Mobile Home Community based on the provided reviews. Individuals interested in learning about current residency opportunities, lot availability, or any special offers should contact the management directly at the provided phone numbers. Inquiring about lot fees, lease terms, community rules and regulations, and the current management's policies on the issues raised in the negative review would be essential for prospective residents to make a fully informed decision.
In conclusion, Hudson Mobile Home Community in Hudson, Indiana, presents a mixed picture. While some residents report friendly neighbors and positive changes with a new manager, significant concerns have been raised about past management practices, restrictive community rules, and limitations on residents' property rights, particularly regarding resale and home removal. For local users searching for 'RV parks near me' who might be considering a longer-term residential setting, Hudson Mobile Home Community requires careful investigation and direct engagement with the current management at (260) 200-3783 to understand the current state of affairs and policies before making any decisions. Prospective residents should weigh the potential for improvement under new management against the serious allegations and restrictions reported by previous residents.

Mar 14, 2024 · KathieThese guys are horrible. The property management is uninvolved. The property manager should never have became one in the first place. Tells lies to avoid confrontation. Have went out of his way to make life very difficult for people like single mothers struggling, among others getting help from locals. You can't place a fence or a temporary one. No playpens or swing sets approved ect even if its not nailed down. If you drive through there are very few de corations up to make it your own. Only the chosen few can. Mind you 90% of the people own the mobile homes. No rv or boat parking even if its in your designated spot taking up no extra room. Now you can't sell it or take your home with you cause they made it so they have the right to refuse and right to first refusal. I got sick of fighting with the manager wanted out so tried to sell it to a needy family. They swooped in and wanted to match it or no sale. Wanted to move it and oh no can't do that either. They want you to pay repairs for the trailer but its never really yours. Not to mention they were all got from a mobile home scrap yard and they preformed minimum repair just to cover the problems. If you move there good luck.
