Idyllwild-Pine Cove is a well-known mountain resort community in Southern California, famous for its stunning natural beauty, hiking trails, art scene, and small-town charm. Residents of Idyllwild Trailer Park can enjoy the benefits of mountain living, including fresh air, scenic views, and a close-knit community atmosphere that is characteristic of smaller towns. The location offers a distinct escape from the hustle and bustle of city life while still being within driving distance of larger urban centers for essential services and amenities.
One positive review describes Idyllwild Trailer Park as "a wonderful trailer park" where the reviewer purchased a home and feels "so safe in a community." The review highlights social activities, noting "weekly events happening at the clubhouse" during the summer months, including residents playing pool in the afternoons and a "Saturday night cocktail hour" that is described as "friendly and inviting." During the winter, a "core group of residents that live here full-time" is mentioned as being "very friendly and helpful," with neighbors assisting each other during snowy conditions.
This positive feedback suggests that Idyllwild Trailer Park can foster a strong sense of community among its residents, with opportunities for social interaction and mutual support. The presence of a clubhouse and organized events can contribute significantly to the social fabric of the park, making it an appealing option for those who value community engagement.
However, another, more extensive review presents serious concerns regarding the park's management. This reviewer, who moved into the park with "much excitement" due to its beautiful setting, recounts a negative experience attributed to the on-site manager. The manager is described as having a "classic case of 'The Napoleon' complex'" and allegedly made it "almost impossible to live in peace" by "always trying to bully his way into your lives and always getting in the way while trying to make improvements on the home!"
Specific instances of alleged interference include attempts to dictate who residents could allow in their homes, where to place plants, how to set up their backyards, and who they were allowed to hire for home improvements. The reviewer states that attempts to address these issues by emailing, calling, and sending letters to the owners were futile, as the owners were "absolutely non existing and NEVER would respond back," effectively giving the manager "complete control without consequences" and making life miserable for the reviewer and reportedly many others in the park.
The reviewer further claims that many other residents felt the same way but were afraid to speak out "as not to make any waves" with the manager. Additionally, concerns were raised about the rent being raised "EVERY year" in a park with many senior residents on fixed incomes, coupled with a lack of control over one's own front and backyards. The reviewer concludes by strongly recommending prospective residents to "look elsewhere for housing" due to the alleged "Bully manager trying to push his will on you."
Given these contrasting reviews, individuals considering Idyllwild Trailer Park as a long-term living option found through their search for "RV parks near me" should proceed with significant caution. While the park's location in the scenic San Jacinto Mountains and the potential for a friendly community are attractive aspects highlighted in one review, the serious allegations of mismanagement and a negative living environment described in the other review cannot be ignored.
Prospective residents are strongly advised to conduct thorough due diligence, which should include:
- **Contacting the park management directly:** Inquire about the current management practices, policies regarding resident autonomy over their homes and yards, and any procedures for addressing resident concerns.
- **Visiting the park in person:** A visit will allow you to assess the physical environment, the overall atmosphere, and potentially speak with current residents to get a more balanced perspective on the living conditions and management style.
- **Asking specific questions:** Inquire about lease agreements, rent increase policies, park rules and regulations, and any amenities offered beyond the clubhouse mentioned in the positive review.
- **Seeking additional reviews or information:** Look for more recent reviews or testimonials from other residents online or through local community channels to see if the issues raised in the negative review are isolated incidents or indicative of a broader problem.
In conclusion, Idyllwild Trailer Park offers a unique setting in the beautiful San Jacinto Mountains and appears to have the potential for a welcoming community. However, the serious allegations of problematic management and a restrictive living environment raised by one reviewer present significant concerns. For those exploring "RV parks near me" for long-term residency in the Idyllwild area, a thorough and cautious approach is necessary to determine if the reality of living at Idyllwild Trailer Park aligns with their expectations for a peaceful and respectful community.

Idyllwild Trailer Park Reviews
This is a wonderful trailer park. I Purchased here about two years ago and I feel so safe in a community. During the summer months there are weekly events happening at the clubhouse. Residence play pool in the afternoon and the Saturday night cocktail hour is friendly and inviting. During the winter months, there’s a core group of residents that live here full-time and they are very friendly and helpful. We dig each other out from the snow.
Aug 13, 2023 · Eric TracyThe park itself is in a beautiful setting nestled in the San Jacinto Mountains in the town of Idyllwild. AND we moved in with much excitement! Unfortunately, as is the case in most of these types of parks, the manager living on the premises has the classic case of "The "Napoleon" complex" and has made it almost impossible to live in peace. Always trying to bully his way into your lives and always getting in the way while trying to make improvements on the home! including trying to intervene in who we allowed in the house, tried to dictate where to put our plants, how to set up our backyard and who we were allowed to hire!We emailed, called and sent letters to the owners, who were absolutely non existing and NEVER would respond back, giving the manger complete control without consequences and making our and others living in the park miserable!!!It was a horrible experience and many others in the park felt the same way but not wanting to get on his bad side, would avoid saying anything as not to make any waves! With the rent being raised EVERY year, in a senior park, with many people on fixed incomes without any real control on what you can or can not do in your front and backyards AND with a Bully manager trying to push his will on you, I would strongly recommend to look elsewhere for housing!
