Happy Traveler R.V. Park Introduce
Are you searching for "RV parks near me" that offer a prime location in the vibrant downtown area of Palm Springs, California? Happy Traveler R.V. Park, situated at 211 W Mesquite Ave, Palm Springs, CA 92264, USA, presents a unique opportunity for RV enthusiasts seeking close proximity to the city's main attractions. This introduction aims to provide local users with a detailed and objective overview of Happy Traveler R.V. Park, based on recent customer reviews, to help you determine if it aligns with your needs and expectations.
One of the most significant advantages of Happy Traveler R.V. Park, as highlighted by multiple reviewers, is its "excellent downtown location." This prime positioning places visitors within easy walking distance of the Main Street area, allowing for convenient access to Palm Springs' diverse array of shops, restaurants, entertainment venues, and cultural attractions. For those who prioritize walkability and immersion in the city's vibrant atmosphere, Happy Traveler R.V. Park offers an unparalleled location.
In terms of site infrastructure, reviewers note that the sites within the park are "compact but all concrete." While the limited space might be a consideration for larger RVs or those seeking more expansive outdoor areas, the concrete pads offer a level and stable foundation. This feature can be particularly appealing for its ease of setup and cleanliness.
The cleanliness of the park's facilities is also a point of feedback. While one reviewer described the "Washrooms/Showers" as "okay," they also noted that they are "clean." This suggests that while the facilities might not be luxurious or recently updated, the park maintains a satisfactory level of hygiene, which is an important factor for many RV travelers.
Positive experiences with the park's service are also worth noting. One reviewer specifically mentioned that the "service at check in was superb," indicating a friendly and efficient welcome process. This positive initial interaction can significantly contribute to a favorable overall impression of the park.
However, it is crucial to consider some of the less positive aspects highlighted in the reviews to gain a balanced perspective. One reviewer expressed that while the location and mountain views were appealing, the $100 per night fee only afforded these "luxuries," implying that other aspects might not justify the cost for some travelers.
Concerns regarding the quality and condition of the park's infrastructure were also raised. One reviewer stated that "the lots are tight and the quality has much to desire for." Specific issues mentioned include a "dump drain nearly backed up" and the potential need for electrical updates. Additionally, the reviewer noted that "the plants could use some watering," suggesting that the landscaping might not be consistently maintained to a high standard.
Navigating the park upon arrival and departure may also present some challenges. One reviewer advised caution when parking, noting that "there's cars in the road making for tight maneuvering." Furthermore, they mentioned a "random picnic table" in their lot that hindered their setup, indicating potential inconsistencies in site preparation.
Practical considerations regarding payment methods are also important. Happy Traveler R.V. Park reportedly "only takes cash or check." This limitation could be inconvenient for travelers who primarily rely on credit or debit cards and should be factored into payment planning.
Security is another aspect to consider. One reviewer reported "theft for bikes" and cautioned visitors to ensure their belongings are securely locked, as "there's no park gates for added security." This lack of gated access might be a concern for some travelers who prioritize enhanced security measures.
In summary, Happy Traveler R.V. Park offers a significant advantage with its excellent downtown Palm Springs location, providing easy access to the city's attractions. The concrete pads at each site and the reported cleanliness of the washrooms/showers are also positive aspects. However, potential drawbacks include compact sites, concerns about the quality and maintenance of some infrastructure (such as the dump drain and electrical system), tight maneuvering within the park, the cash or check only payment policy, and the reported instances of theft with a lack of gated security.
For local users seeking "RV parks near me" where being within walking distance of downtown Palm Springs is the top priority, Happy Traveler R.V. Park may be a viable option, provided they are comfortable with the potential limitations regarding site size, infrastructure quality, payment methods, and security. The mountain views mentioned by one reviewer could also be an attractive feature for some visitors.
To obtain the most current information regarding site availability, pricing (including any potential discounts or long-term rates), specific amenities offered (such as Wi-Fi, laundry facilities, etc.), and any updates to the park's infrastructure or security measures, it is strongly recommended to contact Happy Traveler R.V. Park directly. You can reach them by phone at (760) 325-8518 or via their mobile number at +1 760-325-8518. Speaking with the park management will allow you to ask specific questions based on your individual needs and preferences and make a well-informed decision about your stay in Palm Springs.

Excellent downtown location within walking distance of the Main Street area. Sites are compact but all concrete. Washrooms/Showers are okay but clean. Service at check in was superb. This will be our go to spot on future Palm Springs visits.
Mar 04, 2025 · Cindy FullerIf you have an RV and want to be close to downtown Palm springs, this is the only place to be at. Unfortunately, for $100 a night, you only get the luxury of the location and mountain view. The lots are tight and the quality has much to desire for. The dump drain nearly backed up on us and the electrical could possibly be updated. The plants could use some watering as well.As you park into your lot, be careful. There's cars in the road making for right maneuvering. In our lot, there was a random picnic table that didn't help us out at all.Happy RV only takes cash or check. There have been reported theft for bikes, so make sure you have got that locked up as there's no park gates for added security.
Mar 02, 2025 · Emily LynnSites are very small. The bathrooms were dirty. There were quite a few washing machines and dryers out of order. The hot tub looked dirty. They ask that pets be walked outside of the park to do their business. Very few ammenities for the price.
Mar 18, 2025 · Donna PastoriusMid century modern large spaces with Ficus tree privacy barriers in each space.Wonderful and charming walking distance to downtown Palm Springs and adjacent to the best hiking trails in the country.I highly recommend this gem to everyone, great experience!
Dec 11, 2024 · Lisa MIf you have an RV and want to stay near downtown Palm Springs, this is THE place for you. You really can't beat the location and convenience. The daily price is a little steep at $100, but if you stay for a month it works out to around half of that. We spent the month of March here and had a great time. Everyone here is very friendly and there are frequent get-togethers in the evening. Pool and hot tub are great and not too crowded. Laundry facilities, showers, etc. are all great.
