Interstate RV Park Introduce
Welcome to a comprehensive introduction of Interstate RV Park, conveniently located at 8448 N Fairmount St, Davenport, IA 52806, USA. For RV enthusiasts and travelers searching for "RV Parks Near Me," Interstate RV Park offers a destination that combines accessibility with a range of amenities, making it a frequent stop for many passing through or exploring the Quad Cities area. This overview will detail its environment, services, features, and provide some promotional insights based on objective information and genuine customer experiences.
Interstate RV Park can be contacted directly at (563) 386-7292 or via mobile at +1 563-386-7292 for reservations or inquiries. Its strategic location, "not far from the interstate," specifically just off I-80, makes it an ideal spot for overnight stays or as a base for exploring the surrounding attractions of Davenport, Iowa, and the broader Quad Cities region where Iowa and Illinois meet along the Mississippi River. This easy access to a major highway is a significant advantage for travelers on long journeys, minimizing detours and maximizing travel efficiency.
The environment at Interstate RV Park is primarily designed for the convenience of RVers. It offers numerous RV sites, with a mix of pull-through and back-in options, many of which are full hookup with 30-amp and 50-amp electric service, water, and sewer connections. The park features gravel drives and pads. The proximity to the interstate means that some road noise is to be expected, especially for sites closer to the highway. However, for an overnight stop, many find this acceptable given the convenience. It’s also noted that the park is open year-round, which is a valuable feature for travelers in all seasons.
In terms of services and features, Interstate RV Park provides a range of amenities aimed at making stays comfortable. Key offerings include "clean restrooms" and showers. While one review humorously notes that "the shower heads are a little low," the overall cleanliness and functionality are often praised, with some sources even highlighting Good Sam ratings of 10/10/10 for restrooms and visual appeal, though other reviews suggest that parts of the park "need some work and TLC." There are also laundry facilities, which are essential for longer stays. A "friendly and helpful staff" is frequently mentioned, contributing to a positive experience, especially for those who encounter unexpected travel issues, such as a truck needing repairs, as one reviewer noted they were able to stay until their vehicle was fixed.
Additional amenities include a dump station, a dog walk/pet area, a game room, and a pavilion. A general store or gift shop is available for supplies. For recreation, the park boasts a swimming pool, which is a popular feature, especially for families. While some reviews mention the pool might occasionally need cleaning, its presence is a definite plus. The park also advertises Wi-Fi, though past reviews suggest that connectivity might be unreliable or only strong near the office, particularly at the far end of the park. It's worth noting that while the park generally provides picnic tables at sites, some reviews indicate these can be old, chipped, and in need of refurbishment.
The park's location also places it near various local attractions and conveniences. Nearby, travelers can find fuel stations like Flying J and Walmart, along with a full-service hardware store, making it easy to stock up on supplies or address minor RV issues. For entertainment, the Quad Cities area offers a plethora of options, including three riverboat casinos, numerous golf courses (25 are advertised), excursion and dinner riverboat cruises on the Mississippi River, the John Deere Commons and Pavilion, historic shopping districts, and a variety of museums and theaters. This makes Interstate RV Park a suitable base for not only quick stops but also for extended stays to explore the region.
However, it is important to provide an objective view by also incorporating critical feedback. While some positive experiences highlight the staff and cleanliness of core facilities, other reviews point to areas needing improvement. Concerns include RV spots being "very close together," which can limit privacy and space, and "dumps at the sites need work." The observation that "the entire RV park needs some work and TLC" suggests that while functional, some aspects of the park's infrastructure and aesthetics may be dated or require renovation. The condition of picnic tables being "old, the paint is all chipped and the tables are not in very good shape" reinforces this sentiment. Furthermore, a review from 2020 mentioned that "The pictures are from the 90s. The pool has trash cans and leaves. Campers have insulation and tarps to cover them. More of a run down trailer park. People living in the campers in more the. Half the sites. The lobby needs to be cleaned. Super gross place." While some of these issues may have been addressed, it's crucial for prospective visitors to be aware of the range of experiences reported.
Promotional information for Interstate RV Park would naturally emphasize its prime location just off I-80, its year-round operation, and its comprehensive amenities like full hookups, clean restrooms, laundry, and a swimming pool. The "friendly and helpful staff" would be a strong selling point. They could highlight the convenience for travelers needing a reliable overnight stop or a base for extended exploration of the Quad Cities. For those searching "RV Parks Near Me," the park could promote its suitability for "big rigs" with pull-through sites and its pet-friendly policy. The availability of a game room and pool would appeal to families. Emphasizing its proximity to essential services and local attractions would further enhance its appeal.
For a balanced and transparent promotion, it would be beneficial for the park to acknowledge areas for improvement, such as upgrading older picnic tables or addressing the close proximity of some sites. If infrastructure improvements are underway or planned, highlighting these initiatives would demonstrate a commitment to enhancing the guest experience. Addressing the perception of the park being "a little older" could be framed as offering a rustic or established charm, while concurrently outlining efforts to modernize and maintain facilities to a higher standard.
In conclusion, Interstate RV Park in Davenport, IA, serves as a highly accessible and generally well-regarded RV park for travelers on I-80 and those exploring the Quad Cities area. It provides essential services such as full hookups, clean restrooms, and laundry facilities, along with recreational amenities like a pool. While praised for its convenience and friendly staff, some areas of the park's physical infrastructure and aesthetics could benefit from updates. For individuals searching for "RV Parks Near Me," Interstate RV Park offers a practical and functional option, especially given its year-round availability and proximity to various conveniences and attractions. Prospective visitors are encouraged to contact the park at (563) 386-7292 or +1 563-386-7292 for the most current information and to assess if its offerings align with their specific needs and expectations.

Interstate RV Park Reviews
Not far from the interstate. Clean restrooms. Friendly and helpful staff. We lost our breaks on our truck. We stayed here until it was fixed. Only issue LoL the shower heads are a little low🤣. We've stayed here several times. Thank you for being open year round.
Dec 23, 2024 · Vicki RelphWe stayed in the RV Park. The RV spots are very close together and the dumps at the sites need work. In fact the entire RV park needs some work and TLC. The picnic tables at the sites are old, the paint is all chipped and the tables are not in very good shape. The restrooms in the main building are in desperate need of a good cleaning.
Sep 30, 2024 · Traci RealTraveling through we chose this site because it was close to hwy.Pros: Close to hwy. Lawn nicely mowed.Cons: Lady put us in site 26, we had to request a different site due to the overgrown trees and shrubs. We didn’t want to damage our rig.Not sure why she doesn’t put travelers in the more spacious sites, because the next travelers that came in got put in site 26. There are lots of nice roomy sites that are free of overgrown shrubbery, why not utilize those? If you do chose IRVP ask for a site with a new picnic table, those are the better sites.
Jun 08, 2024 · Lynn JuholaManagement is very rude and confrontational. Lynn gave us incorrect info for a long term stay and told us to call everyday to see if anything became available. I called and left a message. A lady called back, who refused to give her name, left a message and said "we don't do that", please stop calling! I called the lady to explain what we do. Said she never heard of "mobile housing" and rudely hung up. Very ignorant! We are an emergency housing company that provides mobile homes and trailers throughout the Continental United States, Hawaii and the Caribbean. We are a FEMA contractor for the US government and provider of mobile temporary housing to all major insurance companies to assist disaster victims and displaced homeowners. In this situation, our client house was damaged by fire. The town would not permit a trailer on their property. The homeowner, in their desperation to get closer to home and out of a motel miles away so they can care for their pets, recommended Interstate RV Park because it is close to their home. It's unfortunate that people like this could inflict additional pain without care or concern for another human being in their time of need.
May 31, 2024 · MEHCIt's expensive. Not sure if it's the owner or staff? But they wanna tell you where you have to park? They don't give a choice? And seems their prices change , per customers? Facilities need updated? They don't seem to put much concern on maintenance concerns? Hook ups for RV or motorcoaches, need major overhaul and updates? BadlyI will not be going back until something is done?No activities for families, campers have to do? The overall attitude of the place is negative and not family or couple oriented.
