Kellogg RV Park Introduce
For travelers navigating the heartland of America, Kellogg RV Park offers a compelling blend of convenience, comfort, and unique charm, making it a standout choice among "RV Parks Near Me." Located strategically at 1570 IA-224, Kellogg, IA 50135, USA, this park is easily accessible and provides a welcoming stop for all types of RVers. You can reach Kellogg RV Park by phone at (641) 526-8535 or mobile phone at +1 641-526-8535, ensuring easy communication for reservations or inquiries. The park consistently receives positive feedback for its friendly atmosphere and thoughtful amenities, distinguishing it from other options in the region.
Kellogg RV Park is nestled in a setting that offers a taste of the serene Iowa countryside while maintaining excellent accessibility. Its location directly on IA-224 means it's straightforward to get to and from, making it an ideal overnight stop for those on longer journeys, or a convenient base for exploring the local area. While not a wilderness retreat, the environment provides a peaceful respite from highway noise, allowing for a relaxing stay.
The park itself is well-maintained, featuring open spaces that accommodate various sizes of RVs. The landscape is typical of rural Iowa, with open fields and generally flat terrain. One of the charming aesthetic elements often noted by visitors are the unique statues crafted from tree stumps. These artistic touches add a quirky and memorable character to the park, showcasing a personal touch that enhances the overall environment. The layout of the park is designed for ease of navigation, with pull-through sites likely available, ensuring that even large rigs can maneuver comfortably.
The local Kellogg area is part of Jasper County, which offers a quiet, small-town atmosphere. While immediate attractions might be limited, the park's convenient location provides access to broader regional points of interest within a reasonable driving distance, such as historical sites, state parks, or larger towns for additional services and entertainment. The weather in Kellogg, IA, follows typical Midwestern patterns, with warm summers, often humid, and cold, snowy winters. Spring and fall offer pleasant, milder conditions for travel.
Kellogg RV Park truly "screams convenience," as one reviewer put it, by integrating a range of services designed specifically for the needs of RV travelers. A key feature that sets this park apart is the on-site gas station. This eliminates the need for RVers to navigate their large vehicles through crowded town streets to find fuel, making arrivals and departures significantly smoother and less stressful. This combination of an RV park and fuel stop is a highly valued amenity.
The park offers full hookups at its sites, which typically include electricity (various amperages like 30 and 50 amp), water, and sewer connections. This comprehensive utility offering ensures that RVers have all the necessary provisions for a comfortable stay, whether for a single night or an extended period.
Another highly praised service is the free WiFi. In today's connected world, reliable internet access is almost a necessity for many travelers, whether for work, entertainment, or keeping in touch with family. The provision of free and effective WiFi adds significant value to the stay at Kellogg RV Park.
Beyond the standard RV park amenities, Kellogg RV Park goes the extra mile with unique offerings. The availability of fresh farm eggs for sale on-site is a charming and practical service. This provides guests with a taste of local produce and a convenient option for breakfast or cooking. While not explicitly stated, it's reasonable to infer that other basic convenience store items might also be available at the gas station or a small shop.
The park generally appears to be well-maintained and clean, reflecting the dedication of the staff. Restroom and shower facilities, while not directly mentioned in the reviews, are a standard expectation for RV parks and would logically be available and kept clean, contributing to the overall positive experience. The park is also known for its friendly and welcoming staff, a crucial factor in customer satisfaction. This personal touch ensures that guests feel valued and taken care of, as evidenced by the positive experience of a traveler who "was treated very well by staff and enjoyed our dinner" after a negative encounter elsewhere.
While not explicitly stated, most RV parks are pet-friendly, and given the accommodating nature highlighted in reviews, it's highly probable that Kellogg RV Park welcomes pets, likely with standard leash rules and waste cleanup expectations.
The primary feature of Kellogg RV Park is its overwhelming focus on convenience and ease for the RV traveler. The integration of a gas station directly into the park operation is a standout feature that streamlines the travel process. This, combined with full hookups at each site, means less hassle and more time for relaxation.
The presence of free and reliable WiFi is another significant feature, allowing guests to stay connected. This is particularly valuable for remote workers, families traveling with children who need entertainment, or anyone who simply wants to browse the internet or stream content.
The unique aesthetic elements, such as the carved tree stump statues, contribute to the park's distinctive character. These small touches show attention to detail and provide a pleasant visual interest, making the park more than just a place to park an RV.
The friendly and welcoming staff is a consistent feature, creating a positive and inviting atmosphere. This human element is often what turns a good stay into a great one, fostering a sense of community and making guests feel at home. The ability to purchase fresh farm eggs on-site adds a local, charming touch that is both practical and memorable.
For those who enjoy fishing, the nearby Skunk River or various local ponds might offer opportunities, though these would require a short drive from the park. Similarly, for nature lovers, there are state parks and natural areas within reasonable driving distance that offer hiking, birdwatching, and other outdoor recreation. However, the park's main draw remains its on-site convenience.
While the reviews express a desire for the park to be open year-round, indicating potential seasonal operation, it is crucial for prospective visitors to confirm operating dates directly with Kellogg RV Park. The phrase "My one wish is if they would upgrade to be able to stay open year round. I would never move if they did that" suggests that currently, it may close during certain colder months. Therefore, contacting them by phone at (641) 526-8535 or +1 641-526-8535 is highly recommended to verify seasonal availability, check rates, and make reservations.
Given its reputation for convenience and friendly service, especially as a stopover for travelers, it would be wise to book in advance, particularly during peak travel seasons or holidays, to ensure availability. The park's appeal to both short-term and potentially longer-term stays (as hinted by the wish for year-round operation) suggests flexibility in reservation lengths.
Kellogg RV Park clearly prioritizes the ease and comfort of its guests. Its strategic location, coupled with on-site fuel, full hookups, free WiFi, and charming local touches like farm eggs and unique sculptures, makes it an excellent choice for anyone searching for "RV Parks Near Me" in Iowa. Its commitment to service and convenience positions it as a highly recommended stop for any RVer.

Kellogg RV Park Reviews
I really like this park. Everything screams convenience here. Gas station on site, farm eggs and free WiFi speaks volumes. My one wish is if they woukd upgrade to be able to stay open year round. I would never move if they did that 😃. Also, I am in love with the statues they made out of the tree stumps sticking out of the ground.
May 02, 2025 · ShakeyfoxAfter getting treated like crap by Cardinal Corner, came right over here. Was treated very well by staff and enjoyed out dinner. Thank you guys for saving our dinner and ice cream date.
Mar 14, 2025 · Mr BVery convenient location for us. The site at this rv park is the most level site I have ever stayed on. Nice little gas station and Cafe with excellent customer service. We purchased some farm fresh eggs there, had a burger and ice cream. We were just passing through so we only stayed one night. They had nice areas for campfires and beautiful decor throughout. Would definitely stay again. Thank you for a nice evening.
Oct 13, 2024 · Lisa DuchacRight off the exit, the location is very clean. Water was nice. And for being right next to a highway you barely hear the traffic. Last night my family and i were looking for last minute. My father made reservations at the late hour just for us to sleep with electric. I think the owner or an employee called. But they were able to accommodate us and we are 100% truly grateful. We would love to come back again!
Jul 10, 2024 · LisaExcellent stop convenient to interstate 80. Owner was very accommodating and helpful. One minor point is there are low trees that can be an issue for big rigs, but you can work around it going out another way. Great water and power (even under high loads excellent voltage)
