KM Resorts - Columbia Shores RV Resort Reviews
Stayed here for 7 nights, main reason was for fishing and a couple of off days. This site was very clean, had the cleanest restrooms and showers I have ever seen at any campsite. We met the maintenance guy, Blaine, and he does a great job taking care of the place. There was an area to park boats, a tent area, and a fish cleaning station. Close to Astoria if you want to go for a drive, beaches, Long Beach, shops, etc. No sewer hook ups, but the bathrooms and showers we close by and in great condition. Great experience, no complaints. Aug 06, 2024 · Marsha JohnsonThere was a line to enter with about 20 people before when I got there, but it went quickly. And I had brought my tiny chihuahua held in my arms. The attendant was very kind and respectful as he asked if my dog was certified service, and no he isn't, but I'd been there with him before. He explained they had been asked to keep customers within the rules, and I really understood. Thanked the attendant and returned Roman to my car and went back inside. Gave me incentive to just get him certified. So, don't bring your pet if it's not certified. You may be turned away. There was a lot of activity in the practically full parking lot (closest to the entry), but I did find a space close enough. However, as I closed my car door and stepped onto the roadway, a huge truck spun out right in front of me and seemed close to losing control. Kinda scared me. However, as I returned Roman to the car, the Ilani Security and the police had stopped the man, and I assume he was being cited. Security's presence was active and ample. Some of the customers were rowdy and were controlled quickly. It's obvious Ilani intends to keep the peace and their customers safe. Thankful for that. This time, I lost very quickly, but as I walked to find the exit, I noticed a band was playing a favorite song, and I stopped to watch and listen. The loudish music obviously was good as i could see couples walking/dancing as they stepped to the beat, and several couples and even a group of singles danced on the floor. I'd have thought the room would be larger considering some of the names who performed there, but it was really quite up close. I enjoyed the music comfortably for a few more of my favorite songs and even wished my husband had come along when they played a slow song. We seldom get the chance to dance together, and it reminded me of past memories back when people actually went out to dance after dinner, which used to be an every weekend possibility in most areas. Now it seems like every place closes at 8 pm. Home and in the easy chair by 9. It was about 1am when I stopped listening to the music. I enjoyed it very much, even if the slots hadn't favored me just before. When I left, the security and police activity were still in full force. Glad. I felt safe walking to my car and sleeping dog Roman.Ps. He had water, food, and his blanket. I think he didn't mind too much. I will probably go back in a few months and hope the slots at least return the $100 that I played with. It's not really the money that makes it enjoyable. It's the bright colored lights, sounds of jackpots being hit all around you, and the lady next to you who seems to be blessed by jackpot after jackpot after jackpot. The smile on her face and the excitement in the voice of her friend who walks up and discovers how much she is actively winning, and she hits another 10 free games. And the variety of games!! The games themselves are fun. My favorites are The Lemmings, DaVinci Diamonds, and Lobster Mania. It's always fun if you gamble responsibly and cash out after bonuses. Use only the funds you brought to gamble with. Hopefully at the end of your visit, the cash out tickets will add up to more than what you brought.
Sep 29, 2024 · Linda ChambersIf you just need a simple home base, it fills the needs. Much better pricing if you're a member, kind of spendy for non members for just electric and water. Warm and clean bathrooms with flush toilets and hot showers help not needing sewer. Good location especially if you're there for fishing, it's right next to the marina with a coffee kiosk and bait shop right there as well. Quiet when we were there, has decent club room if you ask to use it. Site space can vary drastically.
Aug 30, 2023 · Russell Erhardt JrWe’ve been here every year for years. Great staff and owners. You’ve got to understand the area to understand why there’s no septic. It’s VERY hard to maintain as the ground is so wet that the tanks fill with dirt and sand. There use to be septic. We stay long durations for the fishing season. The review that people live here is absolutely incorrect in every aspect. There’s grass and trees. There’s a fish cleaning station, and field in the back with a forest behind it. The only people who live here are camp hosts. It’s a shame people review things and places they know NOTHING about. This is definitely not the most pampered of the KM resorts, but you’re here for the incredible outdoors. Go in any direction and you find so many beautiful places to see and things to do. This place is clean, well maintained with great people working here. I’m so thankful for it.
