Lake Goodwin Resort Introduce
Are you searching for "RV parks near me" in the Stanwood, Washington area? Lake Goodwin Resort, located at 4726 Lakewood Rd, Stanwood, WA 98292, presents itself as an option for RV travelers seeking a place to stay. This introduction aims to provide an objective overview of the resort based on the limited information available from online reviews, covering aspects of the environment, potential services, and community feel.
Environment and Location near Lake Goodwin
Lake Goodwin Resort is situated in close proximity to Lake Goodwin, a notable feature of the Stanwood area. Lakes often provide opportunities for recreational activities and scenic views, potentially making this resort an attractive location for those who enjoy being near water. While one positive review mentions it as a "great place" to be, another review expresses a significantly negative sentiment regarding the current state of Lake Goodwin itself, describing it as having "turned into a dump." This stark contrast in opinions regarding the environment is crucial for potential visitors to consider. The negative review suggests a decline in the lake's condition, which could impact the overall experience for those hoping to enjoy lake-related activities or scenic beauty.
The physical environment of the RV park itself is not extensively described in the provided reviews. However, the positive review does indicate that it was a suitable place for the reviewer and their girlfriend to live while working in the city, suggesting that the park may offer longer-term stay options and a degree of convenience for those needing accommodation in the area. The mention of friendly individuals within the park also hints at a community atmosphere, which can be an important factor for those planning an extended stay.
Potential Services and Amenities
The limited information available does not provide a comprehensive list of services and amenities offered at Lake Goodwin Resort. Typically, RV parks offer essential services such as hookups for water, electricity, and sewage. Laundry facilities and Wi-Fi access are also common amenities that enhance the comfort and convenience of guests. However, the provided reviews do not explicitly mention these services. Therefore, it is important for potential visitors to contact the resort directly to inquire about the specific amenities available.
The positive review mentions the helpfulness of certain individuals – "Mrs Ann, Alice, and keneenan" – who made the reviewer feel at home. This suggests that the staff or long-term residents contribute to a welcoming atmosphere within the resort. While not a tangible amenity like hookups or laundry, a friendly and supportive community can significantly enhance the living experience, especially for those staying for an extended period.
Conversely, the negative review focuses solely on the deteriorated state of the lake and does not comment on the services or amenities of the RV park itself. This lack of information makes it challenging to provide a complete picture of what the resort offers beyond its location.
Features and Community Aspect
Based on the available reviews, one notable feature of Lake Goodwin Resort appears to be the sense of community, at least for some residents. The positive review highlights the friendly nature of the people and the feeling of being at home, suggesting that there may be a welcoming environment for those who stay longer and integrate into the community. The phrase "stay to them selves" in the same review could indicate a balance between neighborly interaction and respecting individual privacy.
The proximity to Lake Goodwin, despite the negative feedback on its current condition, could still be considered a feature of the resort's location. In the past, as mentioned in the negative review ("It used to be a nice place to go camping and or park your RV"), the lake likely offered opportunities for swimming, boating, and other water-related activities. Potential visitors might want to investigate the current usability and condition of the lake if these activities are a priority.
The lack of information about specific features like recreational facilities (e.g., playgrounds, communal areas), pet policies, or the types of RV sites available (e.g., pull-through, back-in, size limitations) means that interested individuals will need to seek this information directly from the resort.
Promotional Information and Booking Details
The provided information does not contain any details about current promotions, seasonal rates, or discounts offered by Lake Goodwin Resort. To obtain this information, as well as to inquire about availability and make reservations, it is essential to contact the resort directly. You can reach them by phone at (360) 652-8169 or their mobile number, +1 360-652-8169.
When contacting the resort, potential visitors should specifically ask about the current condition of Lake Goodwin if that is a significant factor in their decision. Additionally, they should inquire about the types of RV sites available, the amenities offered (such as hookups, laundry, Wi-Fi), pet policies, and any rules or regulations for guests. Understanding the payment methods accepted and the cancellation policy is also advisable before making a booking.
Given the contrasting reviews, it would be prudent for prospective guests to gather as much current information as possible from the resort directly and possibly seek more recent reviews from other sources to get a balanced perspective on the current state of Lake Goodwin Resort and the surrounding environment.
Considering Lake Goodwin Resort: A Balanced Perspective
When considering Lake Goodwin Resort as one of the "RV parks near me," it is important to weigh the limited positive feedback regarding the community feel against the concerning negative feedback about the condition of Lake Goodwin. For individuals seeking a longer-term stay with a sense of community and who may be working in the nearby city, the resort might still hold some appeal, as indicated by the positive review. The helpfulness of specific individuals within the park is also a positive aspect to consider.
However, the strong negative review regarding the lake's condition cannot be ignored, especially for those whose primary interest in the location stems from the proximity to water-based activities or scenic lake views. Potential visitors should exercise caution and due diligence in gathering current information about the lake and the resort's amenities before making a decision.
In conclusion, Lake Goodwin Resort offers a location near Lake Goodwin in Stanwood, Washington, with some indication of a welcoming community for longer-term residents. However, significant concerns have been raised about the current state of the lake. Prospective guests are strongly encouraged to contact the resort directly to obtain up-to-date information on the lake's condition, available amenities, and booking details to make an informed decision about their stay.

Lake Goodwin Resort Reviews
It was a great place for me and my girlfriend to be and live while working in the city. The people are great and stay to them selves, Mrs Ann, Alice, and keneenan help me feel at home.
Jan 14, 2025 · Jahmal BlackLake Goodwin has turned into a dump. It used to be a nice place to go camping and or park your RV. It’s pretty sad. Don’t recommend this place at all.
Oct 23, 2024 · Kristina SmithPlease don't go by the negative reviews you see on here about this resort. We stayed there for five days and it was just wonderful. Lots of permanent residents but Good Sam got this one right. Very nice place to stay for short stays or longer. Can't tell you about restrooms, or laundry for we didn't use them. But by the looks of them I would say very nice. Very quiet residents respectful to us , lots of bunnies to keep you entertained. Very nice place.
Oct 19, 2022 · Arnold McDonaldThis park is in an absolutely gorgeous setting. We were disappointed in the amount of full-time residents, who were less than 'tidy'...It really took away from the beauty of the area - especially as, for some weird reason, the full-timers seemed to have the 'prime' waterfront locations....The best feature of the park, and it looked like a dump with so much trash around the rigs and old rigs and vehicles...It seemed most of the nice, Newer rigs were put off to one side, and not on the water...disappointing...
Feb 14, 2023 · Debbie Nason1 star but I can go any lower, this place was fun good location but in total disarray the sewage was backed up got a 7 hour notice that we had to have our sewage line disconnected from the ground. With that in mind the letter had no timeline with the problem to be resolved, or issued no refunds for total park access with out being able to use your rig to the fullest. Then if you want to stay on the pull through sites be fully aware not to go near sight 30. The tenant that lives there is most spiteful, I’ll mannered person ever the first time me and my girlfriend met him the partied till 7 am the next day, asked him politely the we work early in the morning and he didn’t care. Then his kids are out of control running around screaming all through the night throwing things at our rig. Constantly slamming there doors all throughout the night. Told management about our situation, they said they would take care of it. About 3 days went by and then happened all again, the quite time is after 10pm but doesn’t care. Multiple residents have complained and they don’t do anything about it.Sorry lake goodwinNever coming back
