Smokey Point RV Park Introduce
When searching for "RV parks near me" in the Arlington, Washington area, you might come across Smokey Point RV Park, located at 17532 Smokey Point Blvd. However, recent customer reviews indicate a potentially complex situation involving this location and its "sister resort," Emerald Springs RV Park, which warrants careful consideration from prospective visitors.
One detailed account from travelers heading from Arizona to British Columbia describes an initial contact with Smokey Point RV Park for a few days' stay. They were directed to what was described as the "Full Service" park, only to discover upon arrival that it appeared to be a residential trailer park with no discernible office. After a call back, a person named Karen met them and guided them to Emerald Springs RV Park, identified as the "Sister Resort." This suggests that Smokey Point RV Park itself may not function as a typical overnight RV park with on-site registration and services. The environment at Emerald Springs RV Park, where the travelers were ultimately taken, is described as including a "FIELD at the back of the park" which was assigned as their "full service" site. A significant environmental concern was raised regarding the presence of "several Coyotes in the field and bush area," with a warning not to let small dogs off-leash. The reviewers reported coyote howling throughout the night and recounted an incident of a coyote attacking a Doberman being walked on a leash at dusk. This raises serious concerns about the safety and suitability of the environment, particularly for pet owners. Another brief review mentions the location being "easy" to access from the main road for work purposes, suggesting a convenient location for some, but offers no further insight into the park's environment or amenities.
The services and amenities experienced by the travelers at the "full service" site in Emerald Springs RV Park were significantly lacking based on their report. Despite being charged $67.00 and told it was a "full service park as well," their site had "NO SHOWERS…NO BATHROOMS…NO INTERNET….NO TV/CABLE!!!!" They were informed that the owner had locked all the showers and bathrooms. This starkly contrasts with the expectation of full service amenities typically associated with an RV park, especially at the reported price. The lack of even basic facilities like restrooms and showers makes this location unsuitable for travelers expecting standard RV park services. The absence of internet and cable TV further detracts from the experience. The second, very brief review only mentions the "easy location right off the main road" and "easy in and out," which could be considered a service-related convenience for some, particularly those needing quick access for work. However, it provides no information about the essential amenities for overnight RV stays.
Several features, or lack thereof, are evident from the detailed customer account. The initial destination, Smokey Point RV Park, appears to function as a residential trailer park rather than a short-term RV park with a readily accessible office. The "sister resort," Emerald Springs RV Park, offered pull-through sites (the field at the back), but the "full service" designation proved to be misleading due to the absence of essential amenities like showers and bathrooms. A significant negative feature is the documented presence and aggressive behavior of coyotes within the park, posing a potential threat to pets. The easy access to the main road, as mentioned in the brief second review, could be a positive feature for those prioritizing convenience of location for specific purposes like work lockouts. However, this is overshadowed by the severe lack of advertised amenities and the safety concerns regarding wildlife. The fact that "NO REFUNDS GIVEN" despite the significant discrepancies between the promised and actual services is another critical point to consider.
No specific promotional information is mentioned in the provided reviews. The experience of the travelers suggests that the $67.00 charged for a "full service" site that lacked basic amenities was perceived as a "scam" and a "very pricey lesson." This negative experience strongly cautions against being swayed by any potential promotional language without thoroughly verifying the actual services and conditions of the park upon arrival. Potential visitors should be wary of any claims of "full service" and should specifically inquire about the availability and operational status of essential amenities like restrooms, showers, internet, and cable TV before committing to a stay. The reported coyote activity also necessitates a direct inquiry about safety protocols and the park's management of wildlife concerns.
In conclusion, if you are searching for "RV parks near me" in the Arlington, Washington area and come across Smokey Point RV Park, it is crucial to be aware of the information suggesting it may be primarily a residential trailer park. The experience of travelers directed to its "sister resort," Emerald Springs RV Park, raises significant concerns regarding the accuracy of service descriptions, the lack of essential amenities, and potential safety issues related to aggressive wildlife. The discrepancy between the "full service" billing and the actual lack of facilities, coupled with the no-refund policy, paints a concerning picture. While one reviewer noted easy access for work purposes, the overall experience reported by the long-distance travelers strongly suggests that prospective RV visitors should exercise extreme caution, thoroughly investigate the current conditions and amenities at Emerald Springs RV Park (as Smokey Point RV Park itself seemed unsuitable for overnight stays), and directly address the serious safety concerns regarding coyotes before considering a stay at this location near Arlington, Washington. It would be wise to seek alternative RV park options in the area to ensure a safe and comfortable travel experience.

Smokey Point RV Park Reviews
Travelling from AZ. To BC. We wanted to stop for a few days. Contacted Smoky Point RV Park for availability. We were directed to the “Full Service” park.. Turned out it was a residential trailer park? No office found, so I called back and then Karen drove over to meet us and we followed her to Emerald Springs RV Park the “Sister Resort”.. the office staff was nice and we were told it was a full service park as well. Lots of paperwork..then we were charged $67.00 … Karen drove us out to our “site”.. which was a FIELD at the back of the park. We were also WARNED not to let our small dog out ..off leash…as there were several Coyotes in the field and bush area. The Coyotes howled most of the night and , as we found out in the morning, actually attacked a Doberman being walked on leash at dusk!We arrived at Arlington WA. Before 4pm but it was almost dark by the time we PAYED & PARKED then got the news about the FULL FACILITIES!! AND THE COYOTES!!!Our FULL SERVICE SITE…NO SHOWERS….NO BATHROOMS….NO INTERNET….NO TV/CABLE!!!!We were told the OWNER locked all the showers/bathrooms.A HWY. REST STOP WOULD HAVE BEEN A BETTER DEAL.A VERY PRICEY LESSON/ SCAM AT. $67.00. NOT IMPRESSED 👎 NO REFUNDS GIVEN.

Jul 13, 2024 · Erik Bodeau (Chief)We live here full time while we build our home. One laundry room,2 bathrooms, garbage and Utilities provided. Nice and friendly people. Measure of safety. Walking distance to shops & restaurants.
Aug 09, 2023 · Ray GrandstaffI have lived at this park for 10+ years now. The residences are nice and friendly, the location is great, the price is good and it is quiet. The main complaint I have is getting work orders completed. I have been asking for over 4 years to have some trees either removed or trimmed (which they are now scratching my unit) and some garbage removed that is hidden behind the shed. Some of the things they ask for us to do to keep the place looking nice is good, but it would also be helpful if they would do their part to keep the place looking nice also. New gravel for the sites that are looking low, sheds rebuilt or fixed up, and recycling would be a great option to have. If these things were resolved, then this place would get a 5 star from me.
