Lake Griffin Isles Introduce
For individuals searching for "RV parks near me" in the Fruitland Park, Florida area, Lake Griffin Isles, located at 200 Orchid Dr, Fruitland Park, FL 34731, USA, presents a residential mobile home community situated near the picturesque Lake Griffin. You can contact them for inquiries at (352) 728-6999 or +1 352-728-6999.
The address places Lake Griffin Isles in close proximity to Lake Griffin, a significant body of water in the Harris Chain of Lakes, known for its natural beauty and recreational opportunities. While primarily a mobile home park, its location might appeal to RV owners seeking long-term residency in an area with access to boating, fishing, and other lakeside activities. However, it's crucial to understand that the services and environment of a mobile home park may differ significantly from those of a traditional RV park catering to short-term travelers.
Based on recent customer reviews, potential residents, including those with RVs seeking long-term stays, should be aware of several concerns raised by current residents of Lake Griffin Isles. One reviewer, whose brother resides in the community, notes that while the location is "fairly nice," there is a significant lack of amenities. This is a key point for RVers who often rely on park amenities to supplement their living arrangements.
A major concern highlighted in both reviews is the substantial increase in lot rent following the sale of the park to a corporate brand. One reviewer mentions their brother's rent has roughly doubled in less than two years, with new buyers reportedly paying around $1000 per month. The other reviewer shares a similar experience, stating their mother's lot rent has more than doubled since 2019, leading to concerns about her ability to continue living there. These significant rent increases, coupled with the perceived lack of corresponding improvements or amenities like a pool or secure entrance, suggest a potential issue with affordability and value for residents.
Another critical issue raised in the reviews is the frequent problems with the water service. Residents report constant "boil water" notices and instances of water being out of service with little or no notice, sometimes for days. Reliable and consistent access to water is a fundamental necessity for both mobile home and RV living, and these reports indicate a potentially significant disruption to daily life at Lake Griffin Isles.
One reviewer also raises a legal concern regarding the sale of the park to a corporation, suggesting that the previous owner might have violated Florida law by not offering the homeowners the opportunity to purchase it first. While this is a legal matter, it reflects a potential underlying dissatisfaction among some residents regarding the change in ownership and management.
Considering these reviews in the context of "RV parks near me," prospective long-term RV residents should carefully weigh the potential benefits of the location near Lake Griffin against the reported drawbacks of increasing rent, lack of amenities, and unreliable water service. While the setting might be appealing, the practical aspects of living in the community appear to be causing significant concern among current residents.
It is essential to understand that mobile home parks typically offer lot rentals where residents own their homes but lease the land. If Lake Griffin Isles accommodates RVs for long-term stays, the financial structure might be similar. RV owners would need to inquire about the lot rental rates, any additional fees, and the terms of the lease agreement, keeping in mind the reported history of substantial rent increases.
In terms of amenities, the lack of a pool or secure entrance, as mentioned in one review, might be a consideration for RVers who often look for such facilities in their chosen parks. It would be prudent to inquire about all available amenities at Lake Griffin Isles, such as laundry facilities, communal areas, or any services specifically catering to RVs, if they are indeed accommodated.
The environment of Lake Griffin Isles, being near the lake, could offer a pleasant setting. However, the frequent water issues reported by residents could detract significantly from the quality of life. Potential residents should seek detailed information about the water system's reliability and any planned improvements.
Given the serious concerns raised in the reviews, it is strongly recommended that anyone considering Lake Griffin Isles for long-term RV living contact the management directly with specific questions about RV accommodations, rental rates, amenities, water service reliability, and any other concerns stemming from the resident feedback. Visiting the community to assess the environment and speak with current residents, if possible, would also be a valuable step in the decision-making process.
Promotional information is not provided in the context, and given the negative feedback regarding rent increases and water issues, it is unlikely that the park is actively promoting new long-term residencies without addressing these concerns. However, direct inquiry with the management is the only way to obtain any current promotional offers or the park's perspective on the issues raised by residents.
In conclusion, while Lake Griffin Isles benefits from its location near a beautiful lake, potential long-term RV residents searching for "RV parks near me" should be aware of the significant concerns raised by current mobile home owners regarding substantial rent increases, a lack of amenities, and frequent problems with the water service. Thorough investigation and direct communication with the park management are crucial to determine if this community offers a suitable and sustainable living environment for RV owners seeking a long-term stay in the Fruitland Park area.

Lake Griffin Isles Reviews
My brother lives in here, so I go often to visit. It is fairly nice, but there are pretty much no amenities to speak of. The original owner sold this to a corporate brand that jacked up the rent and continues to do so. My brother's rent has pretty much doubled in less than two years. I understand new buyers are paying around $1000/month, and there isn't even a pool or a secure entrance. Additionally, there are constant problems with the water. Water is often out of service with little or no notice and sometimes out for days. I believe the previous owner may have violated Florida law by not first allowing the homeowners the opportunity to buy it before selling to a corporation. If I lived there, I would be discussing that with a lawyer.
Mar 12, 2025 · James PonicsanMy mom has lived here since 2019. In that time frame, her lot rent has more than doubled. There are "boil water" notices all the time. With this last rent increase of over $100 per month, I'm pretty sure my mom will not be able to stay here any longer. I'm very disappointed with the greediness and lack of care and concern the owners of this park are showing. I don't understand how you can do this with no regard to the livelihood of your residents.
Dec 31, 2024 · Barbara RockefellerWould leave zero stars if I could. The greed and zero f's given to the current residents is absurd. Plenty of better and cheaper options out there! Shop around please! Even their other properties are getting the same run around and reviews. Research is your friend :)
Mar 18, 2025 · AbacusOlder park, no amenities, high rent, great people but very disgruntled over non caring ownership. Poorly maintained water and sewer system that need extensive work which the cost may be passed through to residents at the tune of several thousand dollars.
Dec 01, 2024 · David FirkinsThe solution to this park would be to have an option to own a share or lease. This should be the buyer choice. Buy owning a share an owner can have piece of mind the park will be there and park rules will be the owners decision. To be under the lease, yes the house is cheaper but the rent can go up every month and the park can be sold next week. The owners have no choice but leave or take your home and book. I dont see how the people who bought there sleep at night. id buy in a minute with an option but I wont even look their way at any price under the lease. Plus the park is owned by LEGACY HOMES.
