Palm Ridge 55+ Manufactured Home Community Introduce
If you are searching for "RV parks near me" or exploring 55+ manufactured home communities in the Leesburg, Florida area, Palm Ridge 55+ Manufactured Home Community, located at 1806 Timber Ridge Cir, Leesburg, FL 34748, USA, presents itself as an option catering to senior living. This introduction aims to provide local users with a detailed and objective overview of Palm Ridge based on recent customer reviews to help you assess its suitability for your residential or potential RV needs.
One recent review offers a starkly negative perspective on Palm Ridge 55+ Manufactured Home Community, stating, "This is the worst place I've ever lived. I would think twice about buying here." This strong condemnation should be a significant point of consideration for potential residents. The reviewer cites several critical issues experienced over a six-year period, including a doubling of their rent due to "excessive pass on taxes and annual increases." This suggests a potentially unstable or rapidly increasing cost of living within the community, which could be a major concern for those on a fixed income.
Furthermore, the same reviewer describes the management as "rude" and recounts an alarming anecdote about them "making jokes about evicting an 80+ year old." This raises serious concerns about the ethical and professional conduct of the management and the overall atmosphere of the community, particularly regarding the treatment of elderly residents. The mention of the management having "flipped her house in under a month" is also troubling and could indicate aggressive or uncaring practices.
Another significant issue raised in this negative review is the reliability of essential utilities, specifically water service. The reviewer states that "the water is off with no warning for hours at a time, at least 4 to 8 times a month." Such frequent and unannounced disruptions to water supply can severely impact residents' daily lives and raise concerns about the maintenance and reliability of the community's infrastructure.
The reviewer further criticizes the infrastructure, stating, "The infrastructure is a joke. They make it look good by the sales office, but drive around, you will see." This suggests a potential discrepancy between the well-maintained appearance of the sales area and the actual condition of the rest of the community, implying that prospective buyers or renters should conduct a thorough inspection of the entire park beyond the immediate vicinity of the sales office.
In contrast to this highly critical review, another recent comment offers a more positive, albeit brief, perspective: "Quiet manufactured home community. Very Clean and conveniently located not far from the Fl. Turnpike and lots of shopping areas within walking distance." This suggests that Palm Ridge does offer some appealing features, including a peaceful environment, cleanliness, and convenient access to transportation (Florida Turnpike) and shopping amenities. The proximity to shopping areas within walking distance can be a significant advantage for residents, providing ease of access to daily necessities and retail options.
Considering the platform category "RV parks near me," Palm Ridge is identified as a 55+ manufactured home community. While manufactured home communities primarily cater to long-term residents who own or rent mobile homes on leased land, some may also offer limited facilities or spaces for RVs, particularly for short-term visitors of residents. However, the available information does not explicitly state whether Palm Ridge accommodates RVs. Individuals specifically seeking RV parks in the Leesburg area would need to inquire directly to ascertain if RV sites are available and what amenities are provided for RV travelers.
The contrasting reviews present a complex picture of Palm Ridge 55+ Manufactured Home Community. On one hand, it is described as quiet, clean, and conveniently located. On the other hand, serious concerns are raised regarding escalating costs, rude management, frequent water outages, and potentially poor underlying infrastructure masked by the appearance of the sales area.
For local users considering Palm Ridge as a potential 55+ living option, it is crucial to weigh these conflicting perspectives carefully. The positive aspects of a quiet environment and convenient location may be appealing, but the negative feedback regarding management, costs, and infrastructure should not be dismissed. A thorough investigation, including a visit to the community beyond the sales office and direct communication with current residents (if possible), would be advisable.

However, potential residents should conduct thorough due diligence to reconcile the positive aspects of location and quietness with the serious concerns raised in one of the reviews.
In conclusion, Palm Ridge 55+ Manufactured Home Community in Leesburg, Florida, is described as a quiet and clean community with a convenient location near transportation and shopping. However, significant concerns have been raised by a former resident regarding escalating costs, rude management, frequent water outages, and potentially poor infrastructure beyond the sales area. Nov 08, 2016 · Crystal BrewerBeautiful Community tucked away in a Sand Pine perimeter. Quiet and Sunny with shade scattered around from giant oak trees. Great area for bird watching. The manager and maintenance staff is extremely inviting and always ready to provide assistance. Love coming to this community. Such immense improvement over the last two years. The moon is usually peering over the sand pine perimeter or large oak trees, managed to grab a couple cool shots while visiting one day.
May 28, 2022 · NathanThis place has its moments here, to be sure. If you made it this far down in the comments, then you know there are some extremely unhappy residents here. An I upset about the pass on tax? HELLO!!! Who wouldn't be? But in all fairness, it's my understanding that most, if not all, parks around here are doing the same thing. As far as the Management goes, well, sure, we've had "our moments" too. But she has to answer to a higher power, herself. So.. . Keep in mind, if you go in there with something that is totally out of her control, well.. Nuff said. We have NEW owners now, so it's a wait and see kinda time to see how they are going to help us. The last owners were only concerned about the$$$. I'm hoping that this owner realized there are real live, live on limited income, kinda people that live here. We'll see.
Dec 27, 2019 · marinema2This is an older 55+ park. It's quiet. Close to restaurants and shopping. There are mobile homes here for very low prices. They offer pot luck dinner on Thursday. A new heated pool has been put in. They have a community yard sale twice a year. Clubhouse has been redone as well.
