Leaf Lake RV Park Introduce
For individuals and families actively seeking "RV Parks Near Me" in Minnesota's beautiful lake country, Leaf Lake RV Park, also known affectionately as Campers Cove, presents an outstanding and highly recommended option. Located at 18210 Co Hwy 6, Audubon, MN 56511, this RV park is celebrated for its family-friendly atmosphere, welcoming policies towards pets, and its prime location on the sizable Leaf Lake. You can connect with Leaf Lake RV Park by phone at (218) 850-0169 or via mobile at +1 218-850-0169.
Leaf Lake RV Park is nestled in Audubon, Minnesota, a charming locale in Becker County, an area renowned for its scenic lakes and outdoor recreational opportunities. The park's direct access to Leaf Lake is a significant highlight. As one reviewer noted, Leaf Lake is "a bigger lake than I thought," offering ample space for various recreational activities without the overwhelming traffic of larger, more popular lakes. This balance ensures a pleasant experience for boating, fishing, and other water sports.
The environment surrounding the park is typical of Minnesota's tranquil lake country: lush greenery, fresh air, and the calming presence of water. This setting provides a perfect escape from urban life, allowing campers to fully immerse themselves in nature. The access to Schmitty's Landing by both car and boat further enhances the convenience and recreational possibilities for residents, suggesting nearby services or attractions reachable directly from the lake.
Leaf Lake RV Park primarily operates as a seasonal camping facility, meaning many campers secure their spots for the entire summer season, fostering a strong sense of community. This focus on seasonal stays contributes to the park's "family friendly environment" and the development of "great neighbors," as highlighted in reviews.
Key services and features of Leaf Lake RV Park (Campers Cove) include:
Seasonal RV Sites: The park provides dedicated spots for campers to set up their RVs for the entire season. While specific hookup details (e.g., full hookups, electric/water only, amperage) are not detailed in the reviews, these are standard expectations for seasonal RV parks.
Exceptional Pet-Friendliness: This is a standout feature. One reviewer explicitly states, "It is the ONLY Seasonal camping facility that I know of that is truly pet friendly (we have two dogs...no one else would let us bring BOTH dogs even though they are smaller breeds)." This policy is a huge draw for pet owners, setting the park apart from many competitors.
Family-Friendly Atmosphere: Beyond pets, the park cultivates an environment welcoming to children and adults alike, facilitating social interaction and new friendships among families.
Community Focus: The park's setup encourages interaction, with campers meeting and socializing around campfires and during boating activities. This is further supported by "organized private park management" which helps maintain order and a positive atmosphere.
Lake Access: Direct access to Leaf Lake provides opportunities for boating, fishing (especially for "bigger options" on the lake), and general lakeside enjoyment. The ability to reach places like Schmitty's Landing by boat adds to the recreational value.
Enforced Rules for Comfort and Safety: Reviews mention that "There are rules and they are enforced, but all rules are designed to keep noise down after 11pm and to keep the kids safe. Can't complain!" This indicates a commitment to a peaceful environment and resident well-being, which is often appreciated by long-term campers.
Weekend Rental Spots: For those who wish to "get a feel for the place" before committing to a seasonal spot, the park offers "a couple weekend spots you can rent out." This is an excellent way for prospective long-term campers to experience the community firsthand.
Leaf Lake RV Park (Campers Cove) promotes itself as the ideal "Camping Near Me" destination for families and pet owners seeking a seasonal RV spot in a friendly, well-managed lakeside community. Its unique selling proposition is its genuinely pet-friendly policy, which is a significant differentiator in the market. The emphasis on a "family friendly environment" and the opportunity to build relationships with "great neighbors" are also strong promotional points.
The park successfully balances a relaxing atmosphere with the active enforcement of rules designed for safety and peace, creating a harmonious living space. The direct access to Leaf Lake, described as large enough for recreation yet without excessive traffic, appeals to those who enjoy water activities without the typical crowds of larger lakes.
For those considering a long-term or seasonal RV spot, the ability to rent weekend spots to "get a feel for the place" is a valuable offering, demonstrating confidence in their community and amenities. Prospective campers are highly encouraged to contact Leaf Lake RV Park directly at (218) 850-0169 to:
- Inquire about seasonal site availability and rates for the upcoming season.
- Confirm specific pet policies, including breed or size restrictions if any, although reviews suggest a very welcoming approach.
- Learn more about the types of RV sites available (e.g., full hookups, specific amperage) and any associated fees.
- Ask about the availability and booking process for weekend rental spots for a trial stay.
- Understand the park's rules and regulations in detail, especially regarding noise, pets, and community activities.
- Inquire about specific lake access points, boat slip availability, or nearby attractions like Schmitty's Landing.
Leaf Lake RV Park stands out as a highly desirable seasonal RV park for those seeking a welcoming, pet-inclusive, and community-focused environment on a beautiful Minnesota lake. The positive testimonials from long-term residents underscore its appeal as a cherished summer retreat.

Leaf Lake RV Park Reviews
This is our second year having our 8 person camper parked at Campers Cove and we LOVE IT. It is the ONLY Seasonal camping facility that I know of that is truly pet friendly (we have two dogs...no one else would let us bring BOTH dogs even though they are smaller breeds). Family friendly environment with a lot of friendly adults for the parents too. We go boating or hang out by the campfire with couples (and their kids) that we met after settling in to our new lot....very fun! There are rules and they are enforced, but all rules are designed to keep noise down after 11pm and to keep the kids safe. Can't complain! They do have a couple weekend spots you can rent out if you want to get a feel for the place. It's on Leaf Lake which is a bigger lake than I thought, and Schmitty's Landing can be reached by car or by boat. What can I say, I love it.
