Levee View RV Park Introduce
For local users in the Plaquemine, Louisiana area, who are searching for "RV parks near me," Levee View RV Park, located at 28220 LA-405, Plaquemine, LA 70764, USA, offers a no-frills accommodation option primarily catering to individuals working at the nearby industrial plants. You can reach them at (225) 205-2319 or +1 225-205-2319. Based on recent customer reviews, Levee View RV Park has a strong focus on convenience for the working individual, with both advantages and disadvantages that potential guests should carefully consider.
One of the significant pros highlighted in the reviews is the management style. One reviewer notes that "The manager runs a tight ship" and is helpful, stating, "She will help you if you need anything." This suggests a well-organized park with a responsive and supportive manager, which can contribute positively to the overall living experience, especially for those who are new to the area or require assistance during their stay.
The physical setup of the RV sites also receives positive mention, with reviewers noting "You have a concrete pad for your camper" and "The electrical and water hookups are nice." Concrete pads provide a stable and relatively clean surface for parking RVs, which is a definite advantage over gravel or grass. Reliable electrical and water hookups are essential for the comfort and functionality of modern RVs, and the positive feedback suggests that Levee View RV Park provides these necessities adequately.
Levee View RV Park offers some unique services that cater to busy individuals. One notable feature is that the "site does offer breakfast and ice for sale," and there is also a "breakfast drive thru." This convenience can be particularly appealing to those working long hours who may not have the time to prepare their own breakfast. The availability of ice on-site is also a practical benefit, especially in the Louisiana heat.
Another service offered is "a laundry service," where "they’ll wash and fold your clothes when your to busy to do it." This is a significant convenience for working individuals who may not have the time or energy to do their own laundry. However, it's crucial to note a significant con related to laundry: "Management does not allow you to wash your clothes there." This implies that while a wash-and-fold service is available, there are no on-site laundry facilities for guests to use themselves. This could be a major drawback for those who prefer to handle their own laundry or are looking for a more economical option.
The location of Levee View RV Park is also noted as a pro for a specific demographic: "The park is convenient to the surrounding plants and not to far from town," and it offers "Easy access to the plants around Plaquemine and you do t have to deal with the traffic hassle on LA-1." This makes it a strategically located option for those working in the industrial sector around Plaquemine, providing easy commutes and avoiding some of the area's traffic congestion.
Despite these advantages, there are several cons that potential guests need to be aware of. One significant drawback is the "one way driving" within the park. Reviewers mention, "When you come into the camp site, you have to drive through the entire camp site to get out of the park." This one-way system could be inconvenient, especially for larger RVs or if a guest needs to leave quickly or access a specific part of the park after entering.
Another environmental con is that "Road around the entire site is gravel which is a dust bowl when it's dry." Gravel roads can lead to dust issues, particularly during dry periods, which can affect the cleanliness of RVs and the overall air quality within the park. This is a common issue in RV parks with gravel surfaces and is something to consider for those sensitive to dust.
Cost is also a factor, with one reviewer stating, "Rent is a lot higher than most local campgrounds at 675.00 a month as of 6-6-24." This higher monthly rate compared to other local options needs to be weighed against the conveniences and services offered by Levee View RV Park.
Connectivity is another area of concern, as "Wifi offered works sometimes, but mostly does not." Unreliable Wi-Fi can be a significant inconvenience for those who need internet access for work or personal use, especially for longer stays.
The park's refund policy is also quite strict: "If you have to leave for some reason, management will not reimburse or prorate your money. Once in hands.....you will not be getting nothing back." This lack of flexibility regarding refunds is an important consideration for those whose work schedules or plans might change unexpectedly.
A significant lack of amenity is the absence of a "bath house at this campground." For RVers, especially those with smaller rigs or those who prefer not to use their onboard facilities all the time, the lack of a communal bathhouse with showers and restrooms can be a major inconvenience.
Despite these drawbacks, one reviewer offers a somewhat optimistic outlook, stating, "All in all, I see this campground getting better with time, like everything else." This suggests that while there are current limitations, there might be potential for improvements in the future.
Another reviewer echoes the positive sentiment about the manager, referring to "Ms Jean" as "awesome" and describing the park as "pretty quite, more of a working man and woman’s park." This reinforces the idea that Levee View RV Park primarily caters to a working demographic seeking a relatively quiet and convenient location near their job sites.
In summary, Levee View RV Park in Plaquemine offers some key advantages for those working at the surrounding industrial plants, including a helpful manager, concrete pads, laundry service (wash and fold), and breakfast options. However, potential guests should be aware of the one-way driving system, gravel roads leading to dust, a higher monthly rent compared to some local campgrounds, unreliable Wi-Fi, a strict no-refund policy, and the absence of a bathhouse. The inability to do one's own laundry on-site is also a significant consideration.
For local users searching for "RV parks near me" in the Plaquemine area, Levee View RV Park presents a trade-off between convenience for workers and a lack of some common RV park amenities. The higher cost might be justified for some by the location and specific services offered, such as the laundry service and breakfast. However, the unreliable Wi-Fi and lack of a bathhouse could be deal-breakers for others.
As there is no specific promotional information provided, interested individuals should contact Levee View RV Park directly at (225) 205-2319 or +1 225-205-2319 to inquire about current rates, availability, and any potential changes in services or amenities. It would also be wise to clarify the costs associated with the laundry and breakfast services and to inquire about any long-term stay discounts or policies.
In conclusion, Levee View RV Park appears to be a functional, albeit somewhat basic, RV park primarily geared towards the working individual in the Plaquemine industrial area. Its strengths lie in its management and convenience to job sites, while its weaknesses include infrastructure limitations and a lack of certain amenities commonly found in other RV parks. Potential guests should carefully weigh these factors based on their individual needs and preferences.

Pros: The manager runs a tight ship. She will help you if you need anything. You have a concrete pad for your camper. The site does offer breakfast and ice for sale. Also offers a laundry service. The electrical and water hookups are nice. The park is convenient to the surrounding plants and not to far from town. Cons: one way driving. When you come into the camp site, you have to drive through the entire camp site to get out of the park. If you want to do laundry, it won't be there. Management does not allow you to wash your clothes there. Road around the entire site is gravel which is a dust bowl when it's dry. Rent is a lot higher than most local campgrounds at 675.00 a month as of 6-6-24. Wifi offered works sometimes, but mostly does not. If you have to leave for some reason, management will not reimburse or prorate your money. Once in hands.....you will not be getting nothing back. No bath house at this campground. All in all, I see this campground getting better with time, like everything else.
Jun 06, 2024 · Curtis SalleyMs Jean is awesome. The park is pretty quite, more of a working man and woman’s park. Has a breakfast drive thru, they’ll wash and fold your clothes when your to busy to do it. No other amenities but that’s ok when you’re working 7 days a week 10-12 hours a day. Easy access to the plants around Plaquemine and you do t have to deal with the traffic hassle on LA-1
Aug 14, 2024 · RickThe owners/management of this park are stellar. The price reflects the atmosphere of the park (all concrete, leveled slabs with room for multiple vehicles) and they are very friendly and welcoming. Rules are to be followed, but this park is dedicated to the working class, which makes it better. I will stay here again if I'm ever in the area.
Jun 18, 2024 · Aaron TaylorThey have a cockroach infestation and refuse to acknowledge it. Also charge way more than other sites in the area for nothing extra. No poo or extra amenities for the extra cost and they won’t even let you wash your own clothes. Manager called me twice in the morning hours waking me up (I was on night shift) to tell me about really non important matters.
Aug 05, 2024 · Julissa CornelioPlace was clean and quiet. But…No bathhouse. I was encouraged to prepay two weeks to save money (discounted rate) even though I told her that I planned to be there between 8 and 11 days. Finished my job in 9 days and asked for the difference returned. She claimed she couldn’t because once she makes a deposit the bank doesn’t let her withdraw. First time that has happened to me and I’ve been doing this for 18 years. I will likely stay somewhere else when I travel to Plaquemine for work.
