Liberty Farm Introduce
If you are searching for "RV parks near me" in the Valparaiso, Indiana area and are considering a long-term residential option in a mobile home community, Liberty Farm, located at 76 E U.S. Hwy 6, Valparaiso, IN 46383, USA, presents a community with recent positive changes under new ownership, alongside a concerning account regarding the responsiveness of the current management to resident needs.
One recent review expresses significant satisfaction with the improvements at Liberty Farm since new owners took over in 2024. This resident highlights an "amazing amount of maintenance" that has been completed within the park. Such improvements can greatly enhance the living environment and suggest a commitment to the upkeep and overall quality of the community. For those exploring "RV parks near me" with an eye towards a more permanent mobile home living situation, the fact that Liberty Farm is undergoing positive physical improvements is a noteworthy point.
The same reviewer also praises the "honest, professional office staff" who reportedly treat everyone with courtesy and respect. This is a crucial aspect of community living, as positive interactions with management contribute significantly to resident satisfaction. The reviewer explicitly states that there is "absolutely no game playing in the office like there was in previous years," indicating a marked improvement in the management's integrity and transparency, which can foster a more trusting and positive community atmosphere.
Furthermore, this resident notes that any issues they have encountered under the new ownership have been "handled in a timely manner," a stark contrast to the previous owners' tendency to delay or ignore concerns. This responsiveness to resident issues is a vital component of good property management and can greatly enhance the living experience. The positive feedback regarding the new management's efficiency and professionalism is a significant advantage for Liberty Farm.
However, another, more detailed review presents a concerning counterpoint regarding the current community manager's responsiveness. This resident, who generally enjoys living in the park itself, shares a troubling experience involving a neighbor. The neighbor, an older individual struggling with lot rent, repeatedly requested assistance with a tree near her home that had large, overhanging branches. Despite multiple requests, the manager allegedly promised to look at the issue but never did. This lack of follow-through is concerning, especially given that tree work was reportedly done elsewhere in the park, leaving the neighbor's issue unaddressed.
The situation escalated when the branches eventually fell and damaged the neighbor's roof. When she sought assistance, corporate allegedly deemed it her responsibility, despite her months-long attempts to preemptively address the hazard. This outcome, in the eyes of the reviewing resident, felt unjust and indicative of a lack of care for the well-being of residents, particularly those who may be more vulnerable.
The same reviewer also mentions the neighbor's ongoing issue with yard flooding after rain, another concern that the manager allegedly promised to address but never did. These instances of unaddressed maintenance requests and a perceived lack of empathy from the community manager raise significant concerns about the level of support and responsiveness residents can expect when facing legitimate issues.
While the reviewing resident states that they have not personally had negative dealings with the manager, the way their neighbor was treated has led them to hope they never have to. They emphasize the importance of "responsive and respectful management" and suggest that potential residents should carefully consider this aspect before choosing to live at Liberty Farm. This highlights a potential disconnect between the positive changes brought by the new owners and the effectiveness of the current community manager in addressing resident concerns.
The reviewer concludes by suggesting that the community manager either needs to improve their performance or be replaced, underscoring the significant impact of management on the overall living experience within a mobile home park. Despite acknowledging that "the park itself is nice," the negative experience of their neighbor has tempered their overall view of the community.
For individuals exploring "RV parks near me" with the potential for long-term mobile home living at Liberty Farm, it is crucial to weigh both the positive feedback regarding the new ownership's improvements and the concerning account of management responsiveness. The park appears to be undergoing positive physical changes, and the office staff is reportedly professional and courteous. However, the alleged lack of follow-through on maintenance requests and the perceived dismissal of a vulnerable resident's concerns are serious issues that potential residents should consider.
To gain a more comprehensive understanding of the current situation at Liberty Farm, it is strongly recommended to contact the management directly at (219) 213-6717 or their mobile number +1 219-213-6717. Prospective residents should inquire about the specific improvements that have been made, the process for submitting and resolving maintenance requests, and the management's approach to addressing resident concerns. It might also be beneficial to speak with current residents (if possible) to get a broader perspective on the living experience at Liberty Farm.
Visiting the park in person would also be a valuable step in assessing the overall environment and the condition of the community. Observing the upkeep of the grounds and any visible amenities can provide a firsthand impression of the maintenance efforts. While direct interaction with the community manager might offer some insight, it is important to be aware of the conflicting accounts from residents.
In conclusion, Liberty Farm Mobile Home Park in Valparaiso, IN, presents a community that has seen positive physical improvements under new ownership, and the office staff is reportedly professional. However, there are significant concerns raised by a resident regarding the community manager's responsiveness to maintenance issues and the handling of a vulnerable neighbor's situation. Potential residents searching for "RV parks near me" with a view towards long-term living at Liberty Farm should carefully consider both the positive changes and the reported management challenges before making a decision. Thoroughly investigating the current management practices and speaking with current residents would be prudent steps in this evaluation process.

Liberty Farm Reviews
Since the new owners purchased the park in 2024 they have completed an amazing amount of maintenance in this park. We have an honest, professional office staff the treats everyone with courtesy and respect. There is absolutely no game playing in the office like there was in previous years in this park. That in itself is so refreshing. Anytime I have had an issue now it has been handled in a timely manner rather than being put off or ignored like the previous park owners tended to do.
May 04, 2025 · Jo's GratitudeI don’t usually leave reviews, but I’ve been thinking about this for a while. One of my neighbors on my street has been dealing with a lot, and the way it’s been handled just doesn’t sit right with me. She’s older and already has a hard time keeping up with lot rent, so it’s frustrating to see her constantly dismissed. She had a tree near her home with big branches hanging over and asked the office multiple times to do something about it. The manager kept saying she would come take a look, but never did. What really bothered her, and honestly bothered me too, is that a bunch of tree work got done around the park recently. When she came in to ask why her tree was skipped, she got the usual brush-off. No explanation, no follow-up. Eventually the branches fell and damaged part of her roof. When she asked for help, corporate told her it was her responsibility. After months of trying to get ahead of it, that just felt wrong. She also brought up how bad her yard floods every time it rains. The manager says she’ll check on it, but nothing ever happens. I haven’t dealt with the manager myself, but after seeing how she treated my neighbor, I honestly hope I never have to. People deserve better than being ignored when they’re trying to do the right thing. the park itself is nice and I enjoy living here for the mean time, but the community manager either needs to do better or be replaced. If you choose to live here, definitely think about how much you value responsive and respectful management. That part makes a big difference.
Apr 25, 2025 · Jenn KerselyI do want to edit my post because the new management is great and has helped us figure most of our issues out (except for the water- which I know they have been working on that). However, I still have not received a copy of the inspection report from when my mother bought this trailer. Our pet fees was removed finally, but we are still owed $360 in pet fees for the 3 years we were being charged for cats that live inside the trailer I own and pay property taxes on, that was never reimbursed to our account.I’m a resident. The management and corporate is terrible. We hardly ever have safe water to drink, and it’s off at least twice a month. Lot rent has drastically increased with no real work being done to justify the raise in rent. We have been attempting to fix an issue with corporate for a year and a half, and they’ve ignored me completely by never returning any of my calls or emails mails, and been very dismissive about the issue we’ve been having. They recently fired the property manager who was the only one who cared enough to try to help me. My husband has been in the office multiple times trying to sort the issue out, and it’s been 2 weeks and we still haven’t heard back from the acting manager. We’re also being charged a pet fee for cats that strictly live inside the home we own free and clear. We have multiple stray cats damaging homes, and the park isn’t using those funds to fix anything. It’s just another way to scam people already having money troubles out of more money. They will accept anyone, give anyone a chance to fail. They completely lost our lease from last year and we’re attempting to charge us an extra $45 a month as a “month to month” resident despite the fact we’ve signed the new lease now 3 times!! This should’ve been taken care of in November, but our lease was filed under the wrong lot number. Liberty Farm sold the trailer to my mom for $8,900 in DEPLORABLE condition (5 months before her death). We moved in to save money. We’ve come to o find the floors are bad, They painted over roof leaks among tons of other issues- another example is the water heater in this trailer was a 60 gallon which stated directly on it that it’s not for use in mobile homes. THEY ALSO SOLD MY MOM THIS HOME WITH A SHED IN COMPLETELY DILLAPIDATED CONDITION- and the park has had the nerve to tell us we had to fix it. I said “why wasn’t it fixed before being sold to my mom? If it wasn’t up to par with your park rules? Why didn’t the previous owner have to fix it? The dilapidation has been happening for YEARS before we moved here. We had to spend thousands of dollars upon moving in to have several things fixed after moving in, after my mom was only told about one roof leak (and I suspect they only old her because the ceiling in the second bedroom was caved in due to water damage) If a PROPER inspection was done, this should have been caught. The office assistant Chrissy at the time claimed they had an inspection done but ABSOLUTELY refused to provide the alleged inspection report. I could go on and on about this park. On the other hand, the neighbors are fabulous- lots of wonderful people living in this park. BY THE WAY- I am still waiting for that inspection report 5 years later!
Feb 14, 2025 · Brittany EvansSince ownership has changed, things have certainly taken a turn for the greater good. It's wonderful to have friendly management that cares and to see improvements happening in the community. I must add, the ladies now working in the community office are phenomenal! I would highly recommend Liberty Farm to anyone looking for a lot or park that isn't astronomically priced, as well as not having to be made to feel like you're dealing with a major corporation.
Feb 13, 2025 · Brandon AndersonThis is a great park. I have met many people that live there and they all seem very happy. Its right off the highway so its easy to get to and Ive never had a problem there.
