Logan Estates Introduce
Are you searching for "RV parks near me" with the potential for long-term residency, or are you specifically looking for a mobile home park in the Zeeland, Michigan area? Logan Estates, located at 8697 Riley St, Zeeland, MI 49464, USA, presents itself as a mobile home community. You can reach them by phone at (616) 748-8470 or mobile at +1 616-748-8470. Based on recent customer reviews, Logan Estates appears to offer a mixed experience, with some residents praising its community spirit while others express significant concerns about management and costs.
One resident who moved to Logan Estates a year ago shared a very positive experience, emphasizing a strong sense of community. They highlighted the numerous activities available for residents to enjoy or volunteer in, suggesting an active and engaging social environment. This reviewer noted that their friends were impressed by the level of community involvement. Furthermore, they appreciated the guidelines in place aimed at keeping Logan Estates clean and safe for all residents. The sense of mutual support within the community was also mentioned, with residents coming together to help each other during events like spring clean-up. This positive account also praised the staff for their helpfulness in making Logan Estates a "wonderful place to live," indicating that at least some residents have positive interactions with the management.
However, another resident with over five years of experience at Logan Estates paints a starkly different picture, particularly concerning the management. While acknowledging that the park is generally clean and the community mostly quiet and respectful, their review focuses heavily on negative experiences with the current landlord, identified as Robin. This reviewer alleges that this manager is uncooperative and treats residents as mere sources of income ("an ATM") rather than individuals, citing a lack of empathy. This negative portrayal of management is a significant concern for prospective residents, as the quality of management can greatly impact the living experience in a mobile home park.
The financial aspects of living at Logan Estates, as described by this long-term resident, also raise serious considerations. They claim that the cost of a trailer in the park is comparable to that of a traditional home, and the lot rent is allegedly twice the monthly home payment, currently stated as $600 with an additional online payment fee. These figures suggest a potentially high cost of living in Logan Estates, which might not align with the perception of mobile home living as a more affordable housing option. Prospective residents should carefully inquire about all costs involved, including lot rent, any additional fees, and the process for payment.
The availability of a pool is mentioned as a "nice addition." However, this positive aspect is quickly countered by allegations of restrictive and seemingly arbitrary management of the pool. The reviewer claims that the manager dictates when the pool is open, citing reasons such as the water being "too dirty" or being "nervous of rain" to close it for extended periods. The pool hours are also described as "quite silly" for adults. These claims suggest potential limitations and frustrations associated with a key recreational amenity within the community.
Infrastructure issues are also raised in the negative review. The roads within Logan Estates are described as "not maintained well at all in the winter" and "very hazardous." Poor road maintenance, especially during inclement weather, can pose safety risks for residents. Additionally, the speed bumps are described as "unlike any you've ever seen, much bigger then necessary," and despite being rebuilt, they remain excessively high. This suggests potential inconvenience and possible damage to vehicles within the park.
Another concerning sentiment expressed by a resident is the feeling of not truly owning their home despite having purchased it, stating, "Despite owning your home, you can't help but feel like you're living in someone else's.. for this price you can live happier." This indicates a potential lack of autonomy or control over their living situation, possibly due to restrictive park rules or management practices. The high costs mentioned further contribute to this feeling of dissatisfaction.
The final comment in the reviews expresses fear of retaliation from management, specifically mentioning upcoming spring inspections and a past threat of eviction. This suggests a potentially tense or adversarial relationship between some residents and the management, which could create an uncomfortable living environment.
Considering these contrasting reviews, Logan Estates appears to be a mobile home park with a potentially strong sense of community and activities, as highlighted by the more recent resident. However, there are significant concerns raised by a long-term resident regarding the current management's approach, the high costs associated with living there, and issues with amenities and infrastructure maintenance. Prospective residents need to weigh these different perspectives carefully.
For local users searching for "RV parks near me" with an eye towards potentially settling in a mobile home community, Logan Estates in Zeeland, MI, warrants careful consideration and thorough investigation. While the community aspect seems positive for some, the reported issues with management, costs, and infrastructure are significant red flags. It is strongly recommended that potential residents visit the park, speak with current residents (if possible), and thoroughly vet all aspects of the lease agreement and park rules before making a decision. Understanding the full costs involved, the management's policies, and the state of the infrastructure is crucial for ensuring a positive and stable living situation.
In conclusion, Logan Estates in Zeeland, MI, presents a complex picture. While some residents appreciate its community spirit and activities, others have raised serious concerns about management practices, high costs, and infrastructure maintenance. Local users considering this mobile home park as a long-term living option should conduct thorough due diligence to determine if it aligns with their needs and expectations.

Logan Estates Reviews
I moved here a year ago and feel so much at home. When I share all the activities we can be involved in, (either enjoying or volunteering) with all my friends, they have never heard of such an active, caring community. They have good guidelines to keep Logan Estates clean and safe for everyone. If you fall on hard times or just need extra help, the community gets together and helps each other during spring clean up. The staff is great and so helpful, thanks for doing your best to make this a wonderful place to live!
Apr 15, 2025 · Linda TomichWe have lived here for about 5+ years. The park is clean, the community is quiet and respectful mostly. We have had some semi-abusive landlords but Robin here really takes the cake. She will not work with you but at you. You are not a human to her, but an ATM. This woman has zero empathy for anyone but herself and her wallet. Let alone the trailers here will cost you nearly a home, the lot rent will be twice your home payment. Currently $600 with an online payment fee to the side. The pool looks like a nice addition! However, she will lord the days and decide the water is (too) dirty or get nervous of rain and shut it down for days on end. The hours are also quite silly if you are an of age adult. The roads are not maintained well at all in the winter and are very hazardous. The speed bumps here are unlike any you've ever seen, much bigger then necessary. They actually took them out and rebuilt them JUST AS HIGH!Despite owning your home, you can't help but feel like you're living in someone else's.. for this price you can live happier.I know I am making myself a superior target now for upcoming spring inspections. I just hope Robin won't threaten me with an eviction notice this time!!
Feb 28, 2025 · Kyle D.Have lived here for over thirty years have had no issues. The community has guidelines to live by and that keeps the community in very good neat place to live. The management is great and the community has a great amount of immunities such as a pool basket ball court tennis court beautiful clubhouse to rent. Have no complaints.
Jan 28, 2025 · Viola MulderMy husband and I have lived in Logan Estates for 7 years and we have loved it! The community is one of the best!We decided to purchase a brand new mobile home and the process was so simple and quick! We love everything about our new home, it is so beautiful and perfectly done!We are so thankful for Logan Estates and the people who have made it all possible!
Mar 10, 2025 · Jennifer BecksvoortThis place is beautiful, with great choices for trailers. However, it is also expensive and extremely tricky to get approved for the park. There are many other trailer parks that are easier to get into. By the time you have your life in order to get approved for this place, you might as well buy a house - not a trailer.
