Brookshire Meadows West Introduce
Located at 1501 Port Sheldon St, Jenison, MI 49428, USA, Brookshire Meadows West is a mobile home park that may be of interest to local users searching for "RV parks near me" who are considering a long-term residential option within a mobile home community. While the search category typically focuses on recreational vehicle parks designed for temporary stays, some individuals may explore mobile home parks for a more permanent living arrangement.
The available information regarding Brookshire Meadows West presents a mixed picture, with customer reviews offering both positive and strongly negative perspectives. One reviewer expresses a positive initial impression, stating, "Love this place. It has 2 beautiful ponds and is great for my grandma to live in!!" This individual notes the aesthetic appeal of the two ponds within the community and indicates that their grandmother, who recently moved in, is happy with her new residence. They do mention that the house required some minor repairs and did not include an air conditioning unit, necessitating electrical work by their family. However, despite these initial issues, this reviewer concludes, "Other then that, I really don't see anything wrong with it!!"
In stark contrast, another former resident who reportedly lived in Brookshire Meadows West for six years offers an overwhelmingly negative assessment. This reviewer states they "would give this place a minus, if I could," and while acknowledging that it is a "Nice place," their positive comments end there. They describe the owners, Marlene and Dave, as "Horrible, mean just short of evil," explicitly stating they are "not Christian." Interestingly, this reviewer praises "The daughtes" (presumably the owners' daughters) as "wonderful" and describes the people living in the park as "awesome," noting that "The community is nice."
Despite the positive sentiment towards the community itself, the former resident expresses significant dissatisfaction with the management. They report that "Rent goes up every year" and that there are "No extras at all." A specific rule mentioned is the prohibition of street parking, with violators receiving "nasty notes." The reviewer alludes to numerous negative experiences, stating, "We have stories about them, that's for sure," and mentions even taking their grievances to Facebook. They also express a desire to pursue legal action, which was ultimately not pursued at the urging of their husband. The review concludes with a strong warning: "Please. Do not consider living there. We are not the only ones. Talk to neighbors. You will regret it later."
The conflicting nature of these two reviews highlights the importance of considering multiple perspectives when evaluating a potential living situation. The positive review emphasizes the attractive environment with the ponds and the apparent satisfaction of a new resident, albeit with some initial home-related issues. The negative review, on the other hand, focuses heavily on the perceived negative behavior of the owners and restrictive park rules, despite acknowledging the positive aspects of the community and the physical environment.
Given these contrasting viewpoints, it is difficult to form a definitive objective assessment of Brookshire Meadows West without further information. The presence of "2 beautiful ponds" suggests a potentially pleasant environment. However, the serious allegations of poor management and unfair treatment from a long-term former resident cannot be ignored. The positive comments about the community spirit and the owners' daughters offer a glimmer of hope for a positive living experience for some.
For local users in Jenison, MI, searching for "RV parks near me" who might be considering Brookshire Meadows West for long-term mobile home living, it is crucial to weigh these contrasting opinions carefully. The lack of specific information regarding services, features, and promotional offers from the park itself necessitates relying on these limited customer experiences. Potential residents should consider the importance of park management and rules, as highlighted in the negative review, alongside the potential benefits of a community with appealing natural features, as mentioned in the positive review.
To gain a more comprehensive understanding of Brookshire Meadows West, prospective residents are strongly encouraged to conduct their own thorough investigation. This could involve contacting the park directly at (616) 340-7372 or +1 616-340-7372 to inquire about current availability, lot fees, park rules and regulations, amenities, and management policies. It would also be beneficial, if possible and ethical, to speak with current residents to gather a broader range of opinions and experiences. Visiting the park to observe the environment and the general atmosphere could also provide valuable insights.
In conclusion, Brookshire Meadows West in Jenison, MI, presents a complex picture based on the limited available reviews. While it boasts attractive features like two ponds and a seemingly positive community among residents, serious concerns have been raised regarding the owners' management style and park rules. Local users seeking long-term living options within the "RV parks near me" category should carefully consider these points and conduct thorough personal research before making any decisions about residing at Brookshire Meadows West.

Brookshire Meadows West Reviews
Love this place. It has 2 beautiful ponds and is great for my grandma to live in!! She just moved in a week ago and she loves it. House needed a little fixer upper. Didn't include a air conditioning unit. My family and I had to work on electric for it. Other then that, I really don't see anything wrong with it!! ;-)
Jun 06, 2016 · bryce frostI would give this place a minus, if I could. Nice place. That's it! We lived there 6 yrs. Horrible, mean just short of evil owners. The daughtes are wonderful. Marlene and Dave...not Christian. The people who live there, are awesome. The community is nice. Rent goes up every year. No extras at all. Can't even park on the street. If you do, you get nasty notes. We have stories about them, that's for sure. We even took this to face book. I wanted to take them to court. Husband wouldn't let me. Please. Do not consider living there. We are not the only ones. Talk to neighbors. You will regret it later.
Apr 26, 2018 · robin sommersI've lived here for 20 years. I can't believe what the owners are doing. The park is almost filled. I just got my mail and the uncrease in lot rent is unbelievable. Most of the residents are retired. Living on a limited income. I guess they want us to ALL move out. Right now I'm ready. This is ridiculous.
Mar 31, 2022 · Marlene SheaI am pleased to report Brookshire Meadows has removed the tree's from my mothers backyard. She can now enjoy the upcoming summer months.Much Appreciation! Very happyI've been trying to get my mothers trees trimmed since last July.I spoken to grounds maint. & office staff. No calls backs, no results. Now it's winter, pray that these huge pine trees don't fall on her roof....
