Lone Star RV Park Introduce
If you are searching for "RV parks near me" in Baird, Texas, you might come across Lone Star RV Park, located at 1100 Walnut St, Baird, TX 79504, USA. However, it is crucial to carefully consider the information available from online reviews before making any decisions regarding a stay at this facility. The feedback from individuals who have reportedly stayed at Lone Star RV Park paints a concerning picture regarding the park's maintenance, utilities, and management practices.
Multiple reviewers express significant dissatisfaction with the upkeep of Lone Star RV Park. One reviewer states that the mowing and general cleanup of the park appear to occur only sporadically, specifically "when the owner is coming into town." This suggests a lack of consistent maintenance, which could result in an unkempt and potentially unpleasant environment for guests. The same reviewer also mentions an issue with the mowing process itself, alleging that when the grounds are eventually mowed, the water connections at the RV spots are often hit. This reportedly leads to the water being shut off, with residents allegedly experiencing delays of up to two days before repairs are made, sometimes even resorting to fixing the connections themselves due to the lack of timely action from the management.
Another significant concern raised in the reviews pertains to the reliability of essential utilities, particularly electricity and water. The first reviewer claims that the power would "always be turned off due to nonpayment," resulting in hours-long outages while residents waited for the bill to be paid and the service to be reconnected. This level of instability in the electrical supply could be highly disruptive and inconvenient for RV travelers who rely on electricity for various needs, including climate control, refrigeration, and other essential functions. Additionally, the experience of going without water for two days upon arrival, as mentioned by a second reviewer, further underscores serious issues with the reliability of basic utilities at Lone Star RV Park.
The functionality of the Wi-Fi service at Lone Star RV Park is also called into question. According to one reviewer, the Wi-Fi reportedly only worked when residents took it upon themselves to diagnose and even pay for repairs. This suggests that the park does not provide consistent and reliable internet access, which is often a crucial amenity for travelers needing to stay connected for work or personal reasons.
The management of Lone Star RV Park, particularly the property manager identified as Mary, also receives negative feedback in the reviews. One reviewer accuses Mary of dishonesty ("lies about almost everything") to achieve her objectives. This type of alleged behavior could lead to a lack of trust and a negative experience for guests needing to interact with the management for assistance or information. The second reviewer echoes sentiments of poor management, describing them as "rude" and stating an inability to reach them by phone ("you can’t ever get them on the phone"). Difficulty in contacting management can be particularly problematic when urgent issues arise, such as utility outages or site-related problems.
Based on these strongly negative reviews, it is difficult to identify any positive features or services at Lone Star RV Park. The recurring themes of poor maintenance, unreliable utilities (electricity and water), dysfunctional Wi-Fi, and problematic management paint a picture of a park that may not provide a comfortable or convenient experience for visitors. The lack of any positive feedback or counterarguments in the provided reviews further reinforces these concerns.
There is no promotional information available for Lone Star RV Park in the provided data. Given the overwhelmingly negative reviews, it is unlikely that the park is actively promoting its services. Potential visitors are strongly advised to weigh the serious concerns raised by previous guests before considering a stay at this location.
The reviews also mention a "sister park" called Sundance RV, suggesting that similar issues may be prevalent at that location as well. One reviewer explicitly advises against staying at either park, recommending alternatives in Abilene or Clyde instead. This indicates that the problems experienced at Lone Star RV Park may not be isolated and could be indicative of a broader management or operational issue affecting related properties.
For local users searching for "RV parks near me" in Baird, Texas, the information available strongly suggests exercising extreme caution when considering Lone Star RV Park. The reported lack of maintenance, frequent utility issues, unreliable Wi-Fi, and negative experiences with management are significant red flags. Travelers who value basic amenities and a responsive management team may find that Lone Star RV Park does not meet their needs or expectations. It would be prudent to explore alternative RV parks in the surrounding areas, such as Abilene or Clyde, as suggested by a reviewer, to ensure a more positive and hassle-free experience.
In conclusion, the available information regarding Lone Star RV Park in Baird, Texas, is overwhelmingly negative. Potential visitors should be aware of the serious concerns raised by previous guests regarding maintenance, utilities, Wi-Fi, and management. Local users searching for "RV parks near me" are strongly advised to consider these issues carefully and potentially seek alternative accommodations to avoid the negative experiences reported by others. The lack of any positive feedback makes it difficult to recommend this park based on the currently available information.

Lone Star RV Park Reviews
If it was possible to give negative 5 star I wouldn’t hesitate, Lonestar RV and Sundance Rv are sister parks, At both park they are only mowed and cleaned up when the owner is coming into town. When they do come out and decide to half way mow they hit the water connection on the Rv spot, After they shut off the water they have the residence go two more more days without fixing it or they would wait until the residents got so fed up with going without water the residents would fix the water connection. The power would always be turned off due to nonpayment which would take hours for them to pay the bill to have it reconnected, as far as the wifi the only time it works is when the residents would have to go figure out why it wasn’t working then go spend there own money to fix it just to have Wi-Fi. Mary the property manager doesn’t like to get out of the office of the RV, she lies about almost everything to get whatever she need accomplished, t, I would never stay at either one of these park ever again.
Sep 20, 2024 · ashley jonesDo not stay here if you enjoy amenities! Rude and you can’t ever get them on the phone. Constant electricity issues, wifi issues and broken water lines. Went with out water 2 days when we first got there. Go into Abilene or Clyde. Same thing at the sister park Sundance Rv
Sep 20, 2024 · Cody HodgeVery quiet 🤫 Clean sites , easy to enter the interstate 🛣 and close to coffee shop , Equally great for a over night stay or a more permanent living -
Dec 12, 2021 · Teresa CaubleI have had an absolutely fantastic experience with this place and the park manager Mary! I would recommend this place to anyone come through for a short visit or long term!
Jul 13, 2024 · David BentleyCan't speak much for the place itself as far as cleanliness or anything to that matter cuz I've never stayed there but as far as their customer service goes over the phone the lady I talked to was very short rude and not helpful at all and would not listen to anything that I was trying to tell her and after just a couple minutes of being on the phone with her she hung up if it was me I give two thumbs down and would not go to this place ever or recommend it to anybody just because of that but that's just me I can't speak for anybody else so I would say it's up to you you choose and you're right on your own
