Love's RV Hookup Introduce
When searching for "RV parks near me" for a convenient overnight stop or a short break during your travels in Florida, Love's RV Hookup located at 1800 FL-559, Polk City, FL 33868, USA, presents itself as a potential option. As part of the well-known Love's Travel Stops network, it aims to provide essential services for RV travelers. To help local users understand what to expect, this introduction offers an objective overview based on recent customer reviews available online.
Love's RV Hookup in Polk City can be contacted at (863) 984-7030 or +1 863-984-7030. Typically associated with ease of access and basic amenities for travelers, Love's RV Hookups are often chosen for their convenience along major routes. However, recent feedback regarding this particular location suggests a mixed experience for visitors.
One reviewer who stayed at site 7 described challenges with the parking site itself. They noted that the site consisted of two narrow concrete paths, making it difficult to maneuver an 8-foot wide fifth-wheel without the tires going off the edge. The gravel in between the paths was reportedly sunken, adding to the difficulty. Additionally, this reviewer experienced low water pressure in the morning, around 20psi, and found the sewer connection to be so far back that two standard 8-foot hoses were insufficient to reach it. Based on these issues, this customer expressed disappointment and indicated they would not choose to stay at this Love's RV location again.
Another review provided a more detailed account of their stay, contrasting it with generally positive experiences at other Love's RV Hookups. While they found the concrete pads to be acceptable and noted that the water, sewer, and electricity hookups were functional, as well as commending the staff in the gas station, several significant observations led to a lower rating.
One of the primary concerns raised was the cleanliness of the surrounding areas. The reviewer reported finding "hundreds of cigarette butts" covering the grass on either side of their site. Furthermore, the areas behind the RV spots were noted to have a significant amount of garbage and dog feces. These observations suggest potential issues with site upkeep and the behavior of some individuals using the facilities.
A notable concern was the apparent presence of a "transient community" utilizing the RV stop and gas station parking lot as a long-term or "permanent home." While acknowledging the difficult circumstances of homelessness, the reviewer expressed concern about the image this portrays for a business like Love's. This observation might be a consideration for travelers seeking a more traditional RV park environment.
The reviewer also reported instances of non-paying individuals and vehicles occupying the RV park, particularly during the night. On their last night, they described trucks and a car arriving with loud music and headlights shining directly at their RV, as well as dogs being allowed to roam and relieve themselves in the RV area. This behavior could explain the presence of dog feces and suggests a potential lack of oversight or enforcement of park rules.
Adding to the sense of an unconventional RV park experience, the reviewer noted that many of the other RVs and motorhomes appeared to be in poor condition and occupied by individuals seemingly living in them permanently. This deviated from the reviewer's expectations of a typical Love's RV stop, which they usually associate with cleaner and more transient-oriented facilities.
Based on these observations, the reviewer strongly advised frequent users of Love's RV to research this specific location beforehand, as it may not align with the standards of other Love's RV stops they might be accustomed to. The reviewer also preemptively discouraged generic responses expressing thanks for the feedback, implying a perception that previous negative reviews had not resulted in noticeable improvements.
In conclusion, Love's RV Hookup in Polk City, FL, appears to offer basic utility hookups for RV travelers. However, recent customer reviews highlight potential drawbacks such as challenging site conditions, low water pressure, inconvenient sewer connections, issues with cleanliness (including cigarette butts, garbage, and dog feces), and concerns about the presence of a transient population and a lack of enforcement regarding non-paying guests and disruptive behavior. While it might serve as a functional overnight stop for some, potential visitors should be aware of these reported issues and consider them when making their travel plans. The experiences shared suggest that this particular Love's RV Hookup may not consistently meet the expectations of travelers familiar with the standards of other locations within the same network.

Love's RV Hookup Reviews
We stayed one night in site 7. The site is basically 2 concrete paths about the width of 2 feet that you have to carefully back the fifth wheel tires back onto. Our fifth wheel is 8’ wide and the tires barely were able to fit without going off the edge which had gravel in the middle sunk in. The water pressure in the morning was barely 20psi. The location of the sewer connection was so far back that even with 2 8’ sewer hoses together, we could not reach. I was not impressed at this Loves RV location and would not choose to stay here again.
Apr 10, 2025 · P DayWe have stayed at a lot of Loves RV hook ups and we have loved them all-aside from this one 😖The concrete pads were fine, water, sewer and hydro all good and also the staff in the gas station were lovely so no complaints there ☺️Observations we made however that led to a 2 star review are as follows:-When we arrived the grass either side of our site was literally covered in hundreds of cigarette butts. The areas behind the rv had a lot of garbage and dog feces. There is an obvious transient community here using the RV stop and gas station car park as their “permanent home”.I absolutely understand that people need somewhere to go if they’re homeless however if Loves was my business I wouldn’t want the image that my establishment was portraying to be one that included being a base for hobo gatherings 🤷🏻♀️On multiple nights there were people and trucks in the RV park that weren’t paying to be there-on the last night of our stay a couple of trucks and a car arrived in the RV park blaring music, beaming headlights directly at our RV and letting their dogs run around to go to the toilet-this may explain why there’s so much dog turd behind all the RV spots. The surrounding RVs/motorhomes were also really run down and the people in them were clearly living there-also not something we thought Loves RV stop would allow.Overall just a real shock, not what we are used to at all with Loves RV and definitely not one we would EVER return to 😖If you are a frequent user of Loves RV I would strongly advise you do your research here first-you are not going to turn up at the lovely clean Loves RV stops you’re expecting 🤷🏻♀️Also please don’t comment on my review that you’re thankful for my feedback-reading the other negative reviews you clearly haven’t taken any of that feedback in.
Feb 01, 2025 · Pin QueenWe love to stay at Love's during our travels in our RV. This one is a little different than most. Dirt parking lot and cement "tracks" just barely the width of tires. You better be good at backing up to stay on the concrete.
Dec 13, 2024 · Debbie SchwindOur spot had a split cement driveway that was wider than my vehicle. When I parked, two tires were on cement and two tires on rocks. The rocks also interfered with stabilizing and leveling.
May 01, 2025 · Rick PzakSpent 23 days here, very central to everything, great services great wifi,a little noisy with i4 behind and trucks coming and going but I set up a white noise machine and that helped ,. Overall would recommend
