Madison Village Manufactured Home Community Introduce
If you are searching within the category of "rv parks near me" with an interest in longer-term, potentially more affordable housing options in Madison, Indiana, Madison Village Manufactured Home Community, located at 11 E Village Dr, Madison, IN 47250, USA, is a community that warrants consideration. You can contact them at (812) 273-3717 or +1 812-273-3717. Based on the available customer reviews, residents have shared both positive and negative experiences, offering a glimpse into life within this community.
One resident described Madison Village as a "nice place to live," noting that it is "clean and quiet." This positive feedback suggests that the community maintains a certain level of upkeep and offers a peaceful living environment. However, this reviewer also mentioned a personal struggle with the financial aspects, stating, "I just have a hard time making rent and utilities. But life so on." This indicates that while the environment might be pleasant, affordability could still be a concern for some residents.
In contrast, another, more detailed review paints a less favorable picture, highlighting several issues encountered even before fully moving into a home within the community. This reviewer described initial "red flags" during the viewing process, including dog feces in the yard and being unable to see the interior initially due to reported construction. Subsequently, during a walkthrough, they reported seeing roaches, which were allegedly dismissed as "water bugs" by a representative named Lisa. Despite this, the reviewer proceeded with signing, a decision they later regretted.
After signing but before fully moving in, the reviewer stated they began seeing roaches coming out of the walls, even though no food had yet been brought into the home. In response, the manager, Shelp, reportedly offered to spray for pests, which initially seemed to resolve the issue. However, this positive development was overshadowed by other problems. The reviewer mentioned finding trash in their yard and an incident where someone's dog tried to enter their house and left feces in their yard.
When the reviewer approached the manager to request permission to put up a fence, they described the manager as "rude" and "very short" with them. The manager reportedly referenced having sprayed for pests and cleaned up waste from their yard, stating he was "tired of being nice." This interaction starkly contrasts with the expectation set initially, where the manager allegedly said he would take care of any problems after they moved in. The reviewer felt that this promise was disregarded after the lease was signed, leading to a perception of unprofessionalism.
Adding to their concerns, the reviewer recounted an incident the day after this interaction where work was seemingly done on their water supply while they were not home, without any prior work order. Subsequently, their 81-year-old mother was told that the work was intended to improve the water, which the reviewer and their mother did not understand. This lack of communication and the unexpected work on their water supply made the reviewer feel "uncomfortable" with the manager. Furthermore, the fact that residents have to pay their water bills through the management also raised discomfort for this reviewer, leading them to advise others to "think twice" before moving there.
Considering these two reviews, Madison Village Manufactured Home Community appears to offer a potentially clean and quiet living environment, as noted by one resident. This could be appealing for those seeking a more peaceful setting. However, the detailed account from another reviewer raises significant concerns about pest issues, pet-related problems (other residents not cleaning up after their dogs), management conduct, and the process of handling utilities. These issues could greatly impact a resident's quality of life and sense of security within the community.
For local users exploring "rv parks near me" who might be considering a manufactured home community as a more permanent residence, Madison Village presents a mixed picture. The affordability aspect, often a draw for manufactured home communities, is only indirectly touched upon by the resident struggling with rent and utilities. The cleanliness and quietness are positives, but the reported issues with roaches, unmanaged pet behavior, and unprofessional management are serious drawbacks that potential residents would need to carefully evaluate.
If you are in the Madison, IN area and are intrigued by the possibility of living in Madison Village Manufactured Home Community, it would be highly advisable to conduct thorough due diligence. This could include visiting the community, if possible, at different times, speaking with current residents to get a broader range of perspectives, and asking specific questions of the management regarding pest control, pet policies, utility billing, and their approach to resident concerns.
The starkly contrasting experiences shared by just these two reviewers highlight the importance of gathering comprehensive information before making a decision about residing in this community. While one resident found it to be a nice, clean, and quiet place (albeit with personal financial struggles), the other detailed a series of concerning issues related to the condition of a property, pest problems, neighborly conduct, and, most notably, the professionalism and responsiveness of the management.
In conclusion, Madison Village Manufactured Home Community in Madison, IN, is described by one resident as clean and quiet, though potentially not universally affordable. Another review raises significant red flags regarding pest issues, pet problems, and unprofessional management. Local users searching within the "rv parks near me" category for a longer-term housing solution should carefully consider these contrasting experiences and conduct thorough personal research before deciding if this community is the right fit for them.

The village is a nice place to live. Clean and quiet. I just have a hard time making rent and utilities. But life so on
Oct 05, 2023 · Peggy WhiteFirst Red flag when Lisa showed us the place dog crap all over the yard, and then she tells us we couldn't go inside because they had under construction so we were all right with that for now, and then the 2 nd Red flag she tells us we could come and see it and do a walk through we seen roaches, but she called them water bugs we know what roaches look like so we go head with the signing, and we shouldn't have, at this point we have not started living there yet just moving things in and started seeing roaches coming out of the Walls, now at this point we hadn't even brought food over so imagine what you would see then so the manager shelp said he would spray for us, so we was fine with that so he sprayed so far no roaches, but here's the thing somebody threw trash in are yard, someone's dog tried to get in our house and the same dog leaving crap in our yard so I went up there to ask if I could put up a fence he was rude very short with me, started saying that he sprayed got crap out of are yard he was tired of being nice but here's the thing he said if we had any problems he would take care of it but that all went out the door after we signed everything so unprofessional of a manager he should not be manager so the very next day after all this happened and they showed up did something to our water hardly any water pressure we was not home there was no work order and now they could tell my 81-year-old mom is that they were trying do something to our water to make it better she didn't understand and neither do I I don't feel comfortable with him being our manager of this park not only that we have to pay our water bill through them I'm sorry but that makes me feel uncomfortable I would think twice for getting home here
Oct 18, 2024 · Ernest MontgomeryThe biggest issue I have with Madison Village is the flooding. It is absolutely horrible when it rains! As much money that people pay to live there they should be able to go from thier home to thier vehicles and back without having to take your shoes off, roll pants up, carry everything, and pray you don't fall. My mom is elderly and lives there and it's awful for her. It's so embarrassing when she has company visiting. There's been many times her company couldn't even visit for fear of the flooded driveway & yard.
Apr 19, 2024 · Heidi Smith KiserTonya Rines has been a very helpful and informative housing manager. She walked me through my whole application and answered all my questions and concerns. She really is amazing! 5 stars for this lady!
Oct 04, 2022 · Brandi LugoI recently tried to move into this trailer park and was denyed even with income 3 times the rent. As well I bought a trailer from a tentent to find out that the trailer park changed the locks on a trailer I owened. Also when it's time to move the trailer from the park they won't allow anyone to move the trailer unless you have lived there so many years so instead the trailer park buys your $10,000-$30,000 for the trade in price of $750. This trailer park is a scam I highly recommend finding a different place.
