Madrone Hill Mobile Home Park Introduce
Are you searching for "RV parks near me" or considering a mobile home park in the Central Point, Oregon vicinity? Madrone Hill Mobile Home Park, located at 8401 Old Stage Rd #101, Central Point, OR 97502, USA, presents itself as a potential option. This introduction aims to provide local users with a detailed and objective overview of Madrone Hill Mobile Home Park, based on the available information, including direct customer reviews, to help you assess its suitability for your needs. You can contact the park at (541) 855-7749 or +1 541-855-7749 for further inquiries.
When evaluating an RV or mobile home park for potential long-term living, several factors typically come into play: the environment and atmosphere of the community, the services and amenities offered, the specific features of the park and individual lots, and the overall management and resident relations. The provided reviews for Madrone Hill Mobile Home Park offer contrasting perspectives on these aspects, which should be carefully considered by prospective tenants.
Environment and Atmosphere:
One former resident describes Madrone Hill Mobile Home Park as a "very nice park" situated in a "country setting near Gold Hill," approximately a 20-minute drive from Central Point. This suggests a potentially quieter, more rural environment compared to being directly within a city center. The proximity to the Rogue River is highlighted as a popular spot for swimming, fishing, and other water sports, indicating access to natural recreational opportunities. Additionally, the presence of a nearby golf course and a zip line suggests local attractions for leisure and adventure.
In contrast, another review offers a starkly different perspective, labeling it the "worst place you could ever live!!!" This reviewer alleges that the manager and owner "harrass and bully tenants" and describes the manager, Kathy, in extremely negative terms, claiming she derives "great joy out of making others miserable!!!" This feedback paints a picture of a potentially hostile and unpleasant social environment within the park, heavily influenced by the management's behavior.
The significant discrepancy between these two reviews highlights the subjective nature of individual experiences and the potential for varying perceptions of the park's environment and atmosphere. Prospective residents should consider both positive mentions of the setting and recreational access alongside the serious allegations of harassment and bullying by management.
Services and Amenities:
The positive review mentions a "recreation center that residents can use for family or other social gatherings," indicating a communal space for activities and events. The presence of a "community garden space" that is "fully fenced to discourage the wild life" is another notable amenity, appealing to residents who enjoy gardening and growing their own fresh vegetables.
The review also notes that the park was "well maintained" at the time the reviewer lived there. However, it is important to note that this review is from someone who "previously lived" in the community, so the current maintenance standards may have changed.
The negative review does not comment on the physical amenities of the park but focuses entirely on the alleged negative behavior of the management, which can significantly impact residents' experience of the services and overall quality of life, regardless of the physical amenities available.
Typical services in a mobile home park might include utility hookups (water, electricity, sewer), waste management, and possibly common laundry facilities. The positive review's mention of a recreation center and community garden suggests that Madrone Hill Mobile Home Park may offer more than just the basic necessities. However, the current availability and quality of these services cannot be definitively determined without more up-to-date information and considering the serious allegations against the management.
Features:
Features of Madrone Hill Mobile Home Park, based on the positive review, include its location in a country setting near Gold Hill, its proximity to the Rogue River and recreational activities, the presence of a recreation center for social gatherings, and a fenced community garden for residents. These features could be attractive to individuals seeking a quieter lifestyle with access to nature and community amenities.
However, the severe allegations in the negative review regarding the manager's behavior could be considered a significant negative "feature" that may outweigh any positive aspects of the park for many potential residents. A hostile living environment created by management can severely detract from the overall quality of life, regardless of the physical surroundings or available amenities.
The 20-minute drive to Central Point could be seen as both a benefit (offering a more rural feel) and a drawback (requiring a commute for those who frequently need to access services or employment in Central Point).
The nearby golf course and zip line are features of the surrounding area rather than within the park itself, but they add to the potential recreational opportunities for residents.
Promotional Information:
There is no promotional information available in the provided reviews. Mobile home parks may sometimes offer incentives for new residents or special rates for long-term leases, but no such information is mentioned here. Interested individuals would need to contact the park directly to inquire about any current promotions.
Considerations for Local Users:
For local users searching for "RV parks near me" or considering a mobile home park near Central Point, Oregon, Madrone Hill Mobile Home Park presents a complex picture. On one hand, a former resident describes a nice park with appealing amenities like a recreation center and community garden, situated in a pleasant rural setting with access to outdoor recreation. This suggests potential benefits for those seeking a quieter lifestyle with community engagement opportunities.
On the other hand, a more critical recent review alleges serious issues with the park's management, including harassment and bullying of tenants. Such allegations should be taken very seriously, as they can significantly impact the well-being and living experience of residents. The stark contrast between these two reviews underscores the importance of conducting thorough due diligence before making any decisions.
Prospective residents are strongly advised to:
- Contact Madrone Hill Mobile Home Park directly at (541) 855-7749 to inquire about current rates, availability, park rules, and the status of amenities like the recreation center and community garden.
- Specifically ask about the current management and any policies in place to ensure respectful treatment of residents.
- Visit the park in person to assess the current environment and maintenance standards. Pay attention to the overall atmosphere and any interactions observed between residents and staff.
- If possible, speak with current residents to get a broader range of opinions on the living conditions and management practices. Approach these conversations with sensitivity and an open mind.
- Consider the date of the positive review, as conditions and management can change over time. The negative review provides a more recent perspective that should be carefully weighed.
- Research other RV and mobile home parks in the Central Point and Gold Hill areas to compare options and ensure you are making an informed decision based on a comprehensive understanding of available choices.
In conclusion, Madrone Hill Mobile Home Park offers some potentially attractive features, such as its location and amenities. However, the serious allegations of tenant harassment and bullying by the management, as described in one of the reviews, raise significant red flags. Local users considering this park as a "RV park near me" or a potential mobile home living situation should proceed with extreme caution, conduct thorough personal investigation, and seek recent feedback from current residents before making any commitment. The contrasting reviews highlight the potential for a significant difference between past positive experiences and the current living environment under the existing management.

Madrone Hill Mobile Home Park Reviews
Have previously lived in this mobile home community. It is a very nice park complete with recreation center that residents can use for family or other social gatherings. A community garden space can be used by residents (fully fenced to discourage the wild life) who like to raise fresh vegetables in the summer. Well maintained. In a country setting near Gold Hill. Just a 20 minute drive from Central Point. The Rogue river flows nearby which is a popular water spot for swimming, fishing and other water sports. There is a golf courss nearby and, for those adventurous types a zip line.
