Maxey Care RV Park Introduce
If you're searching for "RV parks near me" in the Morganza, Louisiana area, Maxey Care RV Park, located at 641 LA-1, Morganza, LA 70759, presents a potential option for your RV stay. You can reach them at (225) 694-3929 or +1 225-694-3929 for inquiries about availability and rates. Based on recent online reviews from customers, the park offers a mix of experiences that potential visitors should consider.
The environment of Maxey Care RV Park seems to offer a degree of peace and quiet, according to one reviewer who described the campground as "very quiet" and "peaceful." This could be appealing to travelers seeking a tranquil place to stay, especially those working or needing an overnight stop. The park also appears to be pet-friendly, with one reviewer mentioning the ability to "walk my dog at night not having to worry about anything" and the presence of a "field next to park for your dog to run." This could be a significant advantage for those traveling with pets.
However, another reviewer reported significant noise disturbances, particularly during sleeping hours. They mentioned an "active train" that passes by between 1:30 AM and 5 AM, sounding its horn for "at least 10 minutes" with no predictable schedule. Additionally, this reviewer noted that the owner's child rides a four-wheeler around the park for about an hour starting at 7 AM, despite a park-established noise ordinance of no noise until 8 AM. These accounts suggest that while one reviewer found the park quiet, others may experience considerable noise pollution, potentially impacting their sleep quality.
In terms of services and features, Maxey Care RV Park offers some amenities, but their functionality appears to be inconsistent based on the reviews. One positive review mentions "a laundry room and unlimited hot water in the showers" that are open 24/7, as well as provided laundry services. This would be a significant convenience for travelers needing to do laundry or wanting flexible shower times. However, a more critical review contradicts this, stating that the "washer and dryers in the shower house as well but they do not work regardless of what the owner says." This reviewer elaborated that the washers do not spin and the dryers do not dry, and that the quarter machine for these supposedly operational machines "never has quarters." This discrepancy in the functionality of the laundry facilities is a crucial point for potential guests to consider.
The shower house itself also received negative feedback regarding privacy and cleanliness. One reviewer noted "no privacy, no shower curtains," concerns about the door lock, and a need for a new paint job, describing the chipped paint as looking "dirty" and prompting them to wear flip-flops. This suggests that the shower facilities may lack adequate privacy and could benefit from maintenance and cleaning.
On the positive side, Maxey Care RV Park offers some convenient location-based features. It is located "Right next door" to a convenience store and a restaurant with "good food and liquor." Additionally, there is a bar within walking distance. For broader shopping needs, a Walmart and SuperOne, along with various restaurants, are located about 6 miles away in New Roads. These nearby amenities could be a significant advantage for accessing necessities, dining options, and local establishments.
Regarding promotional information, none was explicitly mentioned in the provided reviews. It would be advisable to contact Maxey Care RV Park directly to inquire about any current discounts, special rates for longer stays, or other promotional offers that might be available.
In summary, Maxey Care RV Park in Morganza, LA, offers a location with nearby conveniences such as a store, restaurant, and bar. It is also reported to be pet-friendly. One reviewer found it to be quiet and appreciated the 24/7 access to hot showers and the laundry room (though another reviewer strongly disputed the functionality of the laundry facilities). The presence of a manager on-site who is responsive to calls and texts is also a potential benefit. However, significant drawbacks reported by another reviewer include disruptive noise from a train and a four-wheeler, as well as concerns about the cleanliness and privacy of the shower house and the non-operational laundry machines. The conflicting experiences highlight the importance of considering these factors based on your individual priorities.
Local users searching for "RV parks near me" should carefully weigh the potential for a quiet stay and the convenience of nearby amenities against the reported noise issues and the conflicting information regarding the functionality and condition of the on-site facilities. It is highly recommended to contact Maxey Care RV Park directly to clarify the current status of the laundry and shower facilities and to inquire about any measures taken to mitigate the noise disturbances before making a reservation. Understanding the most up-to-date conditions will help you determine if Maxey Care RV Park meets your needs for an RV stay in the Morganza, Louisiana area.

Maxey Care RV Park Reviews
I rented a space for $390 for the month. The cost is actually $375 but there is a $15 fee if paying with card. The owner left me alone and no one else bothered me. It was a place to stay but don't expect to get any sleep. Internet was provided but I had to use my Verizon hot spot here and there. An active train will go by between 1:30 AM - 5 AM and sound the horn for at least 10 minutes (no stable train time either). Then at 7 AM, the owner's kid drives his four wheeler for about an hour around the park and I almost messaged her asking if he could stop. He rode the four wheeler for about an hour yet there is a noise ordinance that the owner made of no noise until 8 AM.Lastly, the shower house. There are hot showers but there is no privacy, no shower curtains, I wasn't sure if the door lock would hold up, and the place needs a new paint job. It looked dirty with the chipped paint and I wore flip flops to avoid getting a fungal infection. There are washer and dryers in the shower house as well but they do not work regardless of what the owner says. The washers do not spin so your clothes will be soaking wet and smell. The dryers do not dry at all. Finally, there are no quarters ever in that quarter machine. I went to dollar general next door asking for quarters and an employee there filled me in that the quarter machine never has quarters and those machines have never worked. Nearest laundry mat is 40+ minutes away.If you need a place to sleep during the day I would recommend but if you're staying longer than a night, probably not.
Dec 03, 2023 · Chelsea NThe campground is very quiet. If you want a space that is peaceful while working or staying over night, this is perfect. They have a laundry room and unlimited hot water in the showers. The showers and laundry room stay open 24/7 so you can wash your clothes late at night if you are doing shift work. They also provide laundry services. There is a manager on-site (lives there). They are rarely in the office but when you call they will meet you and return calls or text fairly quickly. It was nice to walk my dog at night not having to worry about anything. They also have a field next to park for your dog to run if you want. Right next door is a convenience store and a restaurant with good food and liquor. There is a bar in walking distance (if you had to walk home) that is nice and welcoming. New Roads has a Walmart and SuperOne that is 6 miles away plus a variety of restaurants. There is a train that runs but it seemed like it came every night at about 10:30 pm and in the am around 7 am. It worked for me as an alarm clock although I would hear most of the working crews pull out at 5:00 am. It's clean, safe and convenient for the price you can't beat it. I really just enjoyed how quiet it was and everyone basically kept to themselves.
Jan 20, 2022 · Pirogue EddieVery nice and clean park. The young lady (manager) was very accommodating and went out of her way to make sure we had everything we needed. The showers are endless with hot water n theres a laundry mat w laundry service, which came in very handy.
Apr 11, 2022 · Lorna CascioPoor excuse for an RV park!! Some years ago, we had to evacuate to Texas from New Orleans because of a hurricane. On our way back home, we were looking for a place to stay because we were tired. At the time, Baton Rouge did not have much for RV parks, so on the recommendation of a stranger online, we chose this place to stop. We called and paid in advance because there were other evacuees there and there was only one spot left. WHAT A MISTAKE!!! This place is a total dump!! If you're poor and can't afford a place to live and maybe you have an old camper to live in, this place would be better than living under the overpass. Otherwise, AVOID THIS PLACE LIKE THE PLAGUE!! DO NOT GO HERE!! DON'T DO IT!! STAY AWAY!! RUN FAR, FAR, FAR AWAY!! YOU'LL BE SORRY.....
Feb 26, 2024 · D. FRESHNice relaxing place. Close to road and train tracks which is a downer. You can't beat the price here. Washer dryer and shower house aren't bad. Place has wifi which is a little slow but still good enough for Netflix. Good place to stay if your down here working.
