Jackson, Louisiana, is a town steeped in history, located in East Feliciana Parish. It serves as a gateway to the River Road, a scenic byway lined with historic plantations and antebellum homes that offer a glimpse into the region's rich past. Staying at P & C RV Park on Longwood Drive provides a convenient base for exploring these significant historical sites, as well as the charming towns and restaurants along the River Road between St. Francisville and Destrehan.
The reviews describe the park as small and quiet, suggesting a more intimate and peaceful setting compared to larger, more bustling RV resorts. The presence of large trees indicates shaded sites, which can be particularly appealing during the hot Louisiana summers. The flat gravel spaces ensure level parking for RVs, a crucial factor for comfort and the proper functioning of RV systems.
Based on the customer reviews, the key services and amenities at P & C RV Park include:
- Full Hookups: This is a significant advantage, providing connections for electricity (amperage not specified, so it's worth inquiring), water, and sewer at each site, allowing RVers to be fully self-sufficient.
- Laundry Facility: The availability of on-site laundry is a valuable amenity, especially for longer stays, allowing guests to take care of their laundry needs conveniently.
- Level Gravel Spaces: Ensuring stable and even parking for RVs of various sizes.
- Shaded Sites: The presence of large trees offers shade, contributing to a more comfortable outdoor environment, especially during warmer months.
It is important to note the absence of certain amenities that are common in many other RV parks, as highlighted by one reviewer:
- No Picnic Tables: Guests may not have a dedicated outdoor space for dining or relaxing outside their RVs. If outdoor dining or grilling is a priority, this is a significant consideration.
- No Public Bathrooms/Showers: The park relies on guests having their own facilities within their RVs, as there are no communal restrooms or showers available. This means that P & C RV Park is best suited for fully self-contained RVs.

P & C RV Park Reviews
The RV parks in this area (we only experienced 2), including P & C, are different from what I have experienced in the rest of the country. There are no picnic tables or bathrooms/showers. As there are full hookups, it wasn't a terrible problem. However we weren't able to grill outside or eat outside, which we enjoy doing. The park itself was small but fine. We were under large trees and parked on flat gravel spaces. There is a laundry at this location. The young man who checked us in was very nice and super helpful. All in all, a good spot.
Oct 28, 2024 · tammy silvisWe stayed here on our first night of our "River Road" vacation. We spent some time touring various plantations, antebellum homes, and great restaurants between St. Francisville, LA and Destrehan, LA. The owner of P&C was very courteous, nice, and got us a spot for the night. The RV park has full hookups, quiet, and an easy to get to location. The site I had was perfectly level. I had a great experience staying at P&C RV Park.
Oct 15, 2018 · Michael ZuberWe had a delightful stay at this RV park! The owners were not only responsive but also very accommodating. The location was perfect, conveniently close to all essential amenities. Everybody was nice, and the area was safe and quiet.
Apr 22, 2024 · Ashley MullisNice family business. Owners are very helpful and actively improving the park. Right across the street from Marathon and Colonial if your work at either of those facilities. Lots of shade / tree coverage and grass. Quiet.
Mar 20, 2023 · Jared MartinWonderful site! I'm passing through town on a bicycle and Paul really went the extra mile to ensure I had everything I need to get clean and comfortable for the night. Thanks, Paul, I'll never forget your gracious hospitality!
