LA-RV Introduce
When the unexpected happens on the road, finding a reliable and welcoming "RV park near me" becomes a top priority. For those traveling through Louisiana, particularly along or near Interstate 10, LA-RV, located at 7962 LA-81 in Livonia, offers a practical and accommodating solution. Based on the heartfelt experiences shared by fellow RVers, LA-RV stands out for its helpful service, quiet environment, and essential amenities.
The journey to LA-RV for some travelers has been marked by unforeseen challenges. As recounted by one guest towing a substantial 40-foot fifth wheel, a sudden truck malfunction led them to seek refuge off I-10. Faced with limited options and a significant distance to the nearest visible services, a search led them to LA-RV, situated 16 miles down a two-lane road. The relief and gratitude in their account highlight the park's accessibility from a major highway and its willingness to accommodate travelers in need.
A standout feature of LA-RV is the exceptional service provided, particularly by an individual named Casey. The stranded travelers called ahead, hoping for an opening, and Casey's positive response and assurance of space offered immediate relief. This welcoming attitude and the willingness to assist travelers in distress speak volumes about the hospitality at LA-RV. The guests, initially planning for a short stay, ended up paying for a week, a testament to the comfort and suitability of the park for their unexpected situation.
The environment at LA-RV is consistently described as quiet. While the occasional sound of a train horn can be heard, it is generally not disruptive enough to disturb sleep. This peaceful setting allows guests to relax and unwind after a long day of travel, making it a welcome respite from the noise often associated with roadside stops or more crowded campgrounds.
In terms of amenities, LA-RV provides the essentials for a comfortable stay. While one reviewer did not observe a bathhouse, they noted the presence of a laundry facility. The cost for laundry was reported as $2 per wash and $2 per dry, which is a reasonable and convenient option for travelers needing to take care of their laundry needs, especially during longer trips. Another reviewer echoed the availability of washers and dryers in a building on the property.
The overall impression from the reviews is that LA-RV offers basic yet sufficient amenities for RV travelers who prioritize functionality and a peaceful environment over extensive frills. One reviewer succinctly put it, "If you're looking for a place with all you need and don't want to pay for things you're not gonna use anyway, this is the place to stay!!" This sentiment suggests that LA-RV caters to those seeking a practical and affordable stopover without unnecessary extras, focusing on the core needs of RV living.
While specific details about the park's layout, such as the type of ground surface for the RV sites (gravel, concrete, grass), are not explicitly mentioned, the positive experiences shared by guests underscore the park's suitability for accommodating various sizes of RVs, including a 40-foot fifth wheel. The ease of access from a nearby highway, despite being a short distance off the main route, adds to its convenience for travelers on the move.
Promotional information is not directly provided in the reviews. However, the recurring themes of helpful service, a quiet atmosphere, and the availability of essential amenities like laundry can be seen as inherent selling points for LA-RV. The willingness to accommodate travelers in unexpected situations and the positive interactions with the staff, as highlighted by the grateful guest, serve as strong endorsements for the park's hospitality.

LA-RV Reviews
Let me tell you what....we were towing our 40' 5th wheel down? the I-10. Up the I-10? We were on the I-10 headed to Texas from Florida. When all of a sudden our truck went into limp mode. Janis Joplin threw a code. We were 1 mile from an offramp. I'm sure there were plenty of folks yelling, or cursing at us. We could only go 35 mph. We get off the highway and there isn't anything to be seen. I get into my Google maps and find this here RV park is only 16 miles down the road. 16 miles down a 2 lane road. Again, poor folks behind us. We felt bad but there isn't anywhere to pull over. Oh, I skipped ahead. My husband called this RV park to see if they had any openings. I had my fingers crossed and I was holding my breath. Dear sweet Casey let us know he sure did have room and to come on down. So we paid him for a week. It is a quiet park. You can hear a train horn here or there but it isn't anything that would keep you awake. I don't know when we'd be back this way but we most certainly would stay here. I didn't see a bathhouse but the laundry was $2 to wash and $2 to dry.
Apr 14, 2025 · Cindy JohnsenBasic amenities, a little noise from the train, but not too loud for us. There is a building with washers and dryers. If you're looking for a place with all you need and don't want to pay for things you're not gonna use anyway, this is the place to stay!!
Nov 17, 2024 · Dawn CoreIt's in a quiet place, it's got enough lots for about 10-15 RV campers. The owner is a sweet elderly man and he's helpful and kind. It's close to a rail road but away from the Hussle and bustle of the 190HWY, I know a lady and her husband that live in an RV there for the moment. There is a grocery store and a family dollar store close by as well as a few hotels and gas stations. A small town but everything you need to live or camp for a bit.
Nov 09, 2023 · Lacey DownieWe really enjoyed our stay here! It's a gravel lot with a small laundry room. There is a train yard nearby, so it isn't always quiet, but the neighbors were kind and quiet. We werein Louisiana visiting friends in Baton Rouge. The commute was usually 40-50 minutes.
Jan 19, 2022 · Erin HoffmanHad to stay here awhile back when working at Exxon, Baton Rouge due to everyone else being full. I was worried that the drive would be too long but it was actually pretty easy utilizing 190. The owner was extremely nice and worked with me when it was time to leave. There is no onsite office but not an issue for me. I have my own washer/dryer so no need to use the one provided. The area was safe and very peaceful with an occasional train horn. If you need a place to stay id highly recommended this place. It seems that it is best if you have a few folks that you know at the same campground. I also really liked the feature of being able to access the security cameras from the website. Id stay here again.
