Based on the available customer reviews, the experience at Mesa Regal RV Park & Resort appears to be somewhat varied, with some guests reporting positive experiences and others expressing significant dissatisfaction. It's important for potential visitors to consider these differing perspectives when evaluating this park.
One reviewer described Mesa Regal as "generally an unfriendly 55+ community especially if visiting for short periods of time." This individual felt that the amenities were primarily geared towards long-term residents or those who enjoy a party atmosphere. While they noted that some exercise classes were good, the lack of consistent sign-ups made it difficult to predict class sizes. They also criticized the sign-up process as ineffective due to the absence of headcount monitoring. A significant concern was the overcrowding of the swimming pools with extended families, which detracted from the resort experience the reviewer had expected. They specifically mentioned not wanting to swim with toddlers when they had paid for a resort-style pool. Further criticisms included narrow and dirty streets, fast driving within the park, and some properties appearing poorly maintained. This reviewer also reported the theft of their garbage and recycle bins, allegedly by long-term residents seeking newer bins. Their experience with the sewing/quilting room was also negative, citing limited access due to frequent classes and an instance of being "kicked out." Overall, this reviewer found their stay expensive and disappointing, noting that the "welcome social" occurred at the end of their visit, rendering it unhelpful. They stated they would never consider Mesa Regal again.
In contrast, another reviewer who initially booked a weekend RV spot ended up staying for a month and described the place as "awesome," comparing it to a "cruise ship on land." This positive review highlighted a "wonderful sense of community" and noted that everyone was "very friendly." They also praised the abundance of activities and classes, specifically mentioning yoga, pickleball, and line dancing. The presence of two heated pools and two hot tubs was also a plus. This reviewer noted an on-site full bar and restaurant by the main pool (with a caveat that it might close in the summer) and enjoyed live music by the pool in the afternoons and evenings.
A third reviewer, while acknowledging the 55+ nature of the community (noting they were allowed to stay despite being younger), echoed the positive sentiment regarding the "wonderful sense of community" and the friendliness of the residents. They also highlighted the "lots of activities and classes," again mentioning yoga, pickleball, and line dancing, as well as the two heated pools and two hot tubs. This reviewer also pointed out the presence of an on-site full bar and restaurant by the main pool and the live music in the afternoons and evenings.
Adding to the description of the environment, one reviewer simply stated, "Citrus trees everywhere!" This suggests a pleasant, possibly fragrant and visually appealing landscape within the park.
Convenience was also mentioned, with one reviewer noting that a grocery store is within walking distance of Mesa Regal RV Park & Resort.
However, even the more positive reviewers identified areas for improvement. One mentioned that the gym is very small with no stretching area and has carpeting, which they found "kind of gross." The water machine in the gym was also reported as not working. Another concern raised by this reviewer was the poor taste of the water, even with a high-quality RV filter, a sentiment reportedly shared by many residents. Finally, they noted that the staff in the activities office seemed poorly informed and unable to answer many questions about classes and event registration.
Considering these varied perspectives, Mesa Regal RV Park & Resort appears to be a 55+ community with a strong social element and numerous activities, which many long-term or longer-staying guests seem to appreciate. The presence of two heated pools, two hot tubs, an on-site bar and restaurant with live music, and organized classes like yoga, pickleball, and line dancing are significant features. The abundance of citrus trees adds to the environment, and the proximity to a grocery store offers convenience.
However, potential short-term visitors might experience a less welcoming atmosphere, as suggested by one reviewer. Concerns about crowded pools, narrow and dirty streets, and the alleged theft of personal property are also important to consider. Additionally, the issues raised about the gym, water quality, and the knowledge of the activities office staff are points of potential dissatisfaction.
For local users searching for "RV parks near me" in Mesa, Arizona, Mesa Regal RV Park & Resort offers a 55+ community with a wide array of amenities and a reputation for a strong sense of community among those who stay longer. The activities and social scene seem to be a major draw. However, it is crucial to weigh the positive aspects against the negative feedback regarding potential unfriendliness towards short-term visitors, concerns about cleanliness and safety, and issues with certain facilities and staff knowledge.
Prospective visitors should consider their length of stay and their interest in a very active, potentially party-oriented environment. The age restriction (55+) is also a key factor. While exceptions may be made, as noted by one reviewer, it is primarily an adult community. It would be advisable to inquire about specific policies and amenities relevant to the duration of the intended stay and to seek clarification on the concerns raised in the reviews, such as pool usage rules, park maintenance, and security measures.
In conclusion, Mesa Regal RV Park & Resort offers a 55+ community in Mesa, Arizona, with numerous amenities and a strong social scene that is appreciated by many longer-term guests. However, potential short-term visitors should be aware of reports of a less welcoming atmosphere and concerns about cleanliness and management responsiveness. It is recommended to carefully consider the varied feedback and to seek further information before making a decision.

Mesa Regal RV Park & Resort Reviews
Mesa Regal is generally an unfriendly 55+ community especially if visiting for short periods of time. The amenities are geared towards people who like to party and who stay or live here for long periods of time. Some of the exercise classes were good—but by and large, no one signs up, so you never know how full or empty they will be. The sign-up process is actually useless as no one ever takes a headcount!! The swimming pools are filled with extended families and there is no room for those of us who payed for a resort experience-including a pool! I didn’t come here to swim with toddlers. The streets are narrow and dirty and folks drive too fast. Some of the homes appear to have garbage or hoarder-like behavior. My garbage can and recycle were both stolen by long term residents probably because the (my) short term bins were newer/nicer! The sewing/quilting room has a sign up/fee to use but if there are classes-which were most of the time, you can’t be in there! Very few available space to use the equipment then-if any. I was kicked out once!! All in all, it was an expensive and disappointing experience. The ‘welcome social’ was at the end of my stay-so not useful or welcoming! I would never consider Mesa Regal again.
Apr 03, 2025 · Kat RogWe booked an RV spot for a weekend to try the place out and ended up staying for a month. Awesome place! I didn't know places like this existed. It's like a cruise ship on land.55+ , but they were very nice to let us stay (we are 45 and 49). Wonderful sense of community. Everyone is very friendly. Lots of activities and classes....Yoga, pickleball, line dancing. 2 heated pools, 2 hot tubs. Onsite full bar and restaurant by the main pool (I hear it closes in the summer). Live music by the pool every afternoon and evening.Citrus trees everywhere!Grocery store is walking distance away. There is some room for improvement...- The gym is very small with no stretching area and is fully carpeted, which is kind of gross. The water machine in it didn't work.- Even with a high quality filter in our RV, their water tastes bad. Many residents agreed.- Staff in the activities office could be better informed. They were unable to answer many of my questions about how the classes worked and about details of events and registration processes.

Apr 11, 2025 · Angelo FaraciWe spent three weeks here and are considering buying a home in the resort. So much fun, such great people. A place to make great memories and we did.
Feb 07, 2025 · Anne BaughWent to visit my relatives. Great listening to music there. Music is 4-8 p.m. every day. Reasonable food prices and drink prices.
