Cal-Am Homes Introduce
If you are searching for "RV parks near me" or considering purchasing a park model or seeking long-term RV accommodations in Mesa, Arizona, Cal-Am Homes, located at 4860 E Main St, Mesa, AZ 85205, USA, is a community that warrants careful consideration based on recent customer feedback available online. They can be contacted at (480) 832-4996 or +1 480-832-4996 for inquiries.
Based on recent customer reviews, there appear to be significant concerns regarding the financial practices and staff training within Cal-Am Homes and potentially across other Cal-Am properties. One reviewer, who purchased a park model for their brother a couple of years prior, details a problematic experience with the park's new accounting system. According to this review, if a resident mistakenly double-pays their monthly bill, a full refund is not issued. Instead, the overpayment is credited only towards water and garbage expenses, and not towards electricity. Furthermore, the reviewer alleges that the staff took an unauthorized payment from their card, even with the existing credit. This resulted in the credit being available only when the new park rent was due in May.
This account raises concerns about the transparency and fairness of Cal-Am Homes' billing and refund policies, as well as the potential for unauthorized financial transactions. For individuals considering a long-term stay or purchasing a park model within this community, it would be prudent to thoroughly understand their financial obligations, billing procedures, and the process for resolving overpayments or discrepancies.
Another reviewer offers a strong negative recommendation, advising others to "Run don’t walk away from Cal Am property’s." This sweeping statement suggests a broader dissatisfaction with the management and operational standards of Cal-Am properties in general. The reviewer specifically mentions "poorly trained staff at resort level" and alleges that "corporate doesn’t care about anything but the bottom line!" This paints a picture of a company that may prioritize profit over resident satisfaction and may not adequately invest in staff training or address resident concerns effectively.
A third reviewer seeks contact information for someone at Cal-Am's headquarters who demonstrates "logical thinking and empathy." This request stems from their negative experiences with the staff at "Icon @ Cooley Station," which is identified as being under Cal-Am management. The reviewer claims that the staff at this location appear to lack proper training, leading to "numerous issues for residents." The severity of these issues is underscored by the mention of "police reports being filed and 911 calls being made due to their behavior." While this review pertains to a different Cal-Am property, it further reinforces the concerns raised about staff training and the overall management culture within the Cal-Am organization, potentially extending to Cal-Am Homes as well.
Based on these limited recent reviews, there are significant concerns regarding the financial practices, staff training, and overall management approach associated with Cal-Am Homes and the broader Cal-Am organization. The issues highlighted include restrictive refund policies, potential for unauthorized billing, allegations of poorly trained staff, and a perceived prioritization of profit over resident well-being.
The provided information does not offer details about the environment, specific services, features, or any promotional information for Cal-Am Homes. Therefore, individuals searching for "RV parks near me" or considering this community for long-term RV stays or park model purchases will need to seek this information directly from the management. Inquiries should include questions about the types of RV sites available, amenities offered (such as laundry facilities, Wi-Fi, recreational areas, pet policies), the process for purchasing a park model, any community rules and regulations, and the overall environment of the park.
Given the serious concerns raised in the reviews regarding financial practices and staff training, prospective residents or buyers should also inquire about the park's billing procedures, refund policies, and the process for resolving financial disputes. It may also be beneficial to ask about staff training protocols and the management's approach to addressing resident concerns and ensuring a positive living environment.
As there is no promotional information available, potential residents should inquire about any current incentives or special offers for RV stays or park model purchases. Understanding the long-term costs, including lot rent, utilities, and any association fees, is crucial for making an informed decision.
In conclusion, while Cal-Am Homes is located in Mesa, Arizona, and may appear as an option for those seeking "RV parks near me" or considering purchasing a park model, recent customer feedback highlights significant concerns regarding financial practices and staff training within the Cal-Am organization. Prospective residents and buyers are strongly advised to conduct thorough due diligence, directly contact the management to seek detailed information and clarification on these issues, and carefully consider these potential drawbacks before making any decisions about residing or purchasing property in Cal-Am Homes.

Cal-Am Homes Reviews
Bought a park model for my brother a couple years ago. After Cal Am went to a new accounting system I find that if you mistakenly double pay your monthly bill you will not be given a refund nor will the overpayment be applied to your entire next bill but credit will be given to water, garbage only, not electricity. To top that the staff took an unauthorized payment on my card even with the credit. I will now have a credit on May 1 when the new park rent is due.Run don’t walk away from Cal Am property’s. Poorly trained staff at resort level and corporate doesn’t care about anything but the bottom line!
Dec 09, 2024 · Tina WestCan anyone provide the contact information for someone at HQ? Preferably a real person who demonstrates logical thinking and empathy. The staff at Icon @ Cooley Station from Cal-Am appear to lack proper training, leading to numerous issues for residents. These problems have resulted in police reports being filed and 911 calls being made due to their behavior.
Dec 13, 2024 · Athena BirdCal-Am Resorts & properties are a scam. NOT recommended. They hire poor people down on their luck, or workampers and then try to charge them $1400/mo for an RV spot, which is more than they charge guests or pay their workers. Absolutely the worst place you could decide to spend your vacation or to work for. BEWARE of companies who treat their employees so poorly.
Jun 07, 2024 · Shane BrooksPlease don’t buy from Cal-Am! Property management is horrible. They over charge for anything. When trying to get a hold of your Cal-Am representative they won’t call back nor ever pick up the phone.
