Mobile Gardens Manufactured Home Community Introduce
If you are searching for "RV Parks Near Me" in the Seaford, Delaware region, Mobile Gardens Manufactured Home Community, located at 25692 North Parkway Rd, Seaford, DE 19973, USA, is a mobile home park that may offer long-term RV living options. They can be contacted at (302) 629-4959 or +1 302-629-4959 for inquiries. It's important to note that the available customer reviews present a mixed picture of this community, with both positive initial impressions and significant concerns raised by residents.
One reviewer's initial impression was positive, noting that while the community "seems small when you first see it," it is surprisingly "huge" upon further exploration. This suggests a potentially larger community than initially perceived, offering a greater number of lots. The same reviewer also commented that "the management seems to keep the community very clean & seems that they hold high standards with being a clean community." This is a significant positive aspect, indicating that the aesthetic upkeep of the park is a priority for the management. Furthermore, they observed that "the trailers are well kept & very cute," drawing a comparison to a "trailer park that you would find in ocean city," suggesting a certain charm and visual appeal to the homes within the community. This initial feedback might attract those looking for "RV Parks Near Me" with an emphasis on cleanliness and visual appeal.
However, a starkly contrasting review paints a much less favorable picture of Mobile Gardens Manufactured Home Community, labeling it the "WORST' place to live!" This strongly negative feedback raises serious concerns that potential residents must carefully consider. One of the primary issues highlighted is related to drainage and flooding, with the reviewer stating that "every time it rains you could go swimming in your front yard! Because they don't dig out ditches." This suggests a significant problem with water management within the community, potentially leading to property damage and inconvenience for residents, especially those in RVs which may be more susceptible to water intrusion.
Another major concern raised is the presence of a large number of stray animals, specifically mentioning "Hundreds of stray cat's." For individuals who are not fond of or are allergic to cats, or for those with pets who may not interact well with stray animals, this could be a significant deterrent. The reviewer sarcastically notes that if you are a "cat lady and love a big pond in your yard or waterfront property this is the place for you!" further emphasizing the severity of these issues.
Maintenance issues are also a point of contention. The reviewer describes a "tree that has been marked to be cut down for 2 years scraping against your trailer!" and claims that the management "ran out of money to cut down anymore trees. Even though lot rent is over 400.00 a month. And goes up once a year." This suggests a lack of timely maintenance and a potential disconnect between the high and increasing lot rent and the upkeep of the community. For those seeking "RV Parks Near Me" with reliable maintenance, this review raises serious red flags.
Safety concerns are also brought to light, with the alarming statement that regarding "electricity no problem other than you could be electrocuted by an electric pole they propped up with 2×4s so it doesn't fall." This is a severe safety hazard and indicates potentially negligent infrastructure maintenance. Such conditions would undoubtedly be a major concern for any prospective resident, including those in RVs relying on the park's electrical connections.
The reviewer explicitly states that they "Definitely would never recommend to live there" and further points out the lack of amenities for children, mentioning "nothing for children to do no playground etc." This lack of recreational facilities for children could be a significant drawback for families considering Mobile Gardens Manufactured Home Community as a place to stay with their RV.
Finally, the reviewer describes issues with the water supply, stating that "water smells like eggs unless they treat it which most of the time they don't give any notice they just turn it off while your enjoying that nice hot shower in the morning before work." Intermittent water issues, particularly those affecting the quality and availability of water, can severely impact the living experience for RV residents who rely on these basic utilities.
Considering these conflicting reviews, potential residents searching for "RV Parks Near Me" need to weigh the initial positive impression of cleanliness and visual appeal against the serious concerns raised about flooding, stray animals, maintenance neglect (including potential safety hazards), high and increasing lot rent, lack of children's amenities, and unreliable water supply.
To make an informed decision about Mobile Gardens Manufactured Home Community, prospective RV residents should:
- Contact the management directly at (302) 629-4959 or +1 302-629-4959 to inquire about the issues raised in the negative review, such as drainage, pest control (stray cats), maintenance schedules, the condition of the electrical infrastructure, water quality and reliability, and the availability of any amenities like a playground.
- Visit the property in person to assess the conditions firsthand. Pay close attention to the drainage around the lots, the presence of stray animals, the maintenance of common areas and individual sites, and the apparent state of the utilities.
- If possible, speak with current residents to get a broader range of opinions and experiences beyond the two reviews available online. Inquire about their experiences with management responsiveness, maintenance issues, community rules, and overall satisfaction.
- Inquire specifically about their policies and accommodations for RVs, including the types and sizes they accept, the availability and cost of hookups (water, electricity, sewer), and the length of stay permitted.
- Ask about the lot rent for RVs and whether it is subject to annual increases. Understand all associated fees and charges.
Given the significant negative feedback regarding essential living conditions and safety, it is crucial for potential residents to conduct thorough due diligence before considering Mobile Gardens Manufactured Home Community as one of their "RV Parks Near Me." The initial positive impression of cleanliness may not outweigh the potential problems with flooding, animals, maintenance, and utilities reported by a long-term resident.
In conclusion, Mobile Gardens Manufactured Home Community in Seaford, Delaware, presents a mixed picture for those seeking "RV Parks Near Me." While one reviewer noted cleanliness and visual appeal, another described severe issues with flooding, stray cats, poor maintenance, potential safety hazards, high and increasing lot rent, lack of children's amenities, and unreliable water. Prospective residents must contact the management and conduct a thorough personal inspection to determine if this community meets their living standards and requirements for long-term RV stays.
