Sussex Manor Mobile Home Park Introduce
Sussex Manor Mobile Home Park, situated at 8831 Sussex Manor Lane, Seaford, DE 19973, USA, offers a residential option for those looking for affordable manufactured home living in Delaware. While the platform category "RV Parks Near Me" typically caters to temporary stays for recreational vehicles, communities like Sussex Manor provide a permanent or long-term housing solution, fitting the needs of individuals transitioning from transient RV living to a more stable home base.
Sussex Manor Mobile Home Park is located in Seaford, Delaware, a town in Sussex County known for its more rural and quiet character compared to the bustling coastal areas of the state. Seaford offers a blend of small-town charm with convenient access to essential amenities. The general environment of manufactured home parks in Seaford is often described as being in a "country setting," allowing for a peaceful lifestyle.
Customer reviews paint a mixed picture of the community's internal environment. One resident describes it as "Very quiet and very clean," emphasizing a "very safe environment." This suggests that many residents find the community conducive to a peaceful and secure life. The presence of family members living in the park, as mentioned by one reviewer who moved there for this reason, also indicates a sense of community and stability for some residents. However, another review points to concerns about the overall appearance, stating it "just looks like a mess" and questioning if it's a "lower income area." This contrast suggests variations in lot upkeep or common area maintenance within the park, or differing expectations among visitors and residents. Some reports also indicate that communities in this area, including mobile home parks, may be largely composed of Latino and Haitian immigrants, with some residents having limited access to broadband internet and low English proficiency. This demographic characteristic could influence the community's internal dynamics and needs.
The climate in Seaford, DE, generally offers a moderate four-season experience. Average high temperatures typically range from the low 40s Fahrenheit in winter to the upper 80s in summer. Annual precipitation is moderate, allowing for outdoor activities for much of the year. Seaford itself is recognized for its "close-knit community atmosphere" and affordability, making it an attractive location for those seeking a comfortably priced town with a good quality of life. While nestled in a rural setting, it's "only a short drive to various campsites, parks and of course the lovely eastern shore beaches," providing recreational opportunities outside the immediate community.
Sussex Manor Mobile Home Park primarily provides residential lots for manufactured homes, operating on a land-lease model. This means residents own their manufactured homes but pay a monthly lot rent for the land their home occupies. This structure often makes homeownership more accessible and affordable than purchasing traditional stick-built homes, which is a key advantage for individuals exploring "RV Parks Near Me" as a stepping stone to a permanent residence.
Specific amenities directly within Sussex Manor Mobile Home Park are not extensively detailed in publicly available information. However, manufactured home communities typically provide basic utilities like water, sewer, and trash services as part of or in addition to the lot rent. Some larger manufactured home communities in Seaford offer amenities such as swimming pools, basketball courts, and fishing ponds, though it's important to verify if these are available at Sussex Manor.
A significant aspect of the services and features, as revealed by customer reviews, relates to community management. One critical review points to issues with "land Management" and how they handle resident complaints. The reviewer states that management "seem to always want to cause trouble for the people who are trying to let them know about the few bad apples" and suggests they "really need to try to turn their policies around and help out the people who are trying to help them out instead of helping the people who are causing problems." This indicates a potential concern regarding management responsiveness and resident relations, which is a vital aspect of any community. Conversely, the positive review highlights the quietness and safety, implying that for many residents, the day-to-day living experience is favorable, perhaps overshadowing management-related issues for some.
Properties within Sussex Manor include manufactured homes of various sizes, with some listings showing homes built in the early 1990s with typical features of mobile homes. The specific features of individual homes will vary based on their age and any upgrades made by owners. When considering a move to Sussex Manor, prospective residents should inquire directly about the homes currently available for sale or rent, the specifics of the land lease agreement, and what is included in the monthly rent.
Sussex Manor Mobile Home Park's primary promotional appeal lies in offering affordable housing in a community setting within Seaford, DE. For those searching "RV Parks Near Me" who are contemplating a long-term or permanent move, manufactured home parks provide a cost-effective alternative to traditional housing markets. The concept of "very safe environment" and "very quiet" are strong selling points, especially for individuals or families seeking a peaceful place to live.
The community's location in Seaford means residents have access to the town's conveniences, including grocery stores, shopping, and restaurants, typically within a short drive. Seaford is also home to various parks and outdoor recreational areas, and its proximity to the Nanticoke River and the eastern shore beaches (about 30 minutes away) offers opportunities for outdoor activities like boating, fishing, and beach trips. The town's historic charm and "close-knit community atmosphere" are broader regional benefits that residents of Sussex Manor can enjoy.
While the concerns raised in some reviews about management and overall appearance are important to consider, the positive feedback on safety and quietness suggests that for many, Sussex Manor offers a comfortable living environment. Prospective residents are highly encouraged to visit the community in person, speak with current residents if possible, and engage directly with the park management to gain a comprehensive understanding of the community rules, services, and living experience before making a decision. Sussex Manor Mobile Home Park Reviews
Most of the people who live here are good people but you always have your few bad apples in the bunch. And what's worse about all of this is that when you try to bring this type of stuff up to the management who run quote, unquote, the land Management aspect of the business they seem to always want to cause trouble for the people who are trying to let them know about the few bad apples. They really need to try to turn their policies around and help out the people who are trying to help them out instead of helping the people who are causing problems and making it a bad place to stay.
