Mount Olive RV Park Introduce
Mount Olive RV Park, located at 13657 Lake Lurleen Rd, Coker, AL 35452, USA, serves as a destination for RV travelers in Tuscaloosa County, Alabama. The park can be reached via phone at (205) 534-9591 or mobile at +1 205-534-9591. For those seeking "RV parks near me," Mount Olive RV Park positions itself as an option for a quiet getaway or a basecamp to explore the surrounding area, which includes Lake Lurleen State Park.
The environment at Mount Olive RV Park is described as having "beautiful natural scenery," suggesting a setting that appeals to those who appreciate the outdoors. Its proximity to Lake Lurleen Rd indicates potential access to outdoor activities such as hiking, fishing, and general nature appreciation within the broader area. However, customer reviews provide a more nuanced picture of the park's internal environment. One review notes that the park "must allow people to live there year round," which can lead to a blend of transient RVers and more permanent residents. This mix can impact the overall aesthetic, with some long-term campers' sites showing "poor condition of her camper and junk around it." Another resident living nearby reported issues with "smelt weed," "people letting kids throw rocks and glass bottles at and over my fence," and a "pit bull dog that has came in my yard a few time and barks at my family every time we are outside like it’s going to attack us of it wasn’t on a chain." This suggests that while the surrounding natural landscape is appealing, the internal environment of the park, particularly regarding resident conduct and site upkeep, can vary and may present challenges to the overall tranquility and safety for some visitors.
Regarding services, information available online indicates that Mount Olive RV Park offers essential hookups, including 20-Amp, sewer, and water hookups, which are fundamental for RV camping. Some sources mention the presence of restrooms and showers, and potentially a playground, though a customer review from July 2024 specifically stated "No WiFi, no ice, no table, sites not level, no host, trash everywhere looks to be a permanent trailer park with one guest spot." This discrepancy suggests that the availability and condition of advertised services may vary or be inconsistent. Another review, from January 2023, mentions a "Great host. Very helpful" and a 5/5 rating for Wi-Fi, indicating that management and service quality might fluctuate or depend on the specific host present at the time. The ability to book spots is generally available, and the park aims to be a functional stopping point for RVers. However, the critical feedback regarding permanent residents, the condition of their sites, and reported behavioral issues indicates that management oversight and enforcement of park rules might be areas of concern for some visitors seeking a more consistently maintained and regulated environment.
The features of Mount Olive RV Park, as gathered from available information, include being open all year, offering full hookups (water, sewer, electric), and potentially pull-thru sites with 30/50 amp service. The natural setting near Lake Lurleen is a significant feature, allowing access to nearby outdoor activities like biking and fishing. For visitors using the "RV parks near me" search, the park's location in Coker, a "small town with everything you could need," suggests convenience for basic supplies. However, the predominant feature that emerges from customer feedback is the significant presence of long-term residents. This can create a different dynamic compared to a transient RV park, potentially impacting the availability of short-term spots and the overall atmosphere. The reviews highlight concerns about the behavior of some long-term tenants, including instances of public indecency and property-related issues, which are critical features that prospective visitors should be aware of when considering their stay. The mention of a "convicted thief" among tenants and issues with a dog further underscore these reported challenges to security and peace of mind within the park environment.
Promotional information for Mount Olive RV Park, based on its self-description, would likely emphasize its natural scenery and its utility as a quiet basecamp for exploring the Coker and Lake Lurleen area. It might highlight the availability of essential hookups and its year-round operation. For those searching "RV parks near me" and prioritizing a budget-friendly option for short-term stays, the park could be presented as a simple and functional stopover. However, in light of the detailed customer feedback, any objective promotion would need to carefully balance the appealing natural surroundings with the reported realities of the park's internal environment and community dynamics. It would be important for potential visitors to manage expectations regarding the mix of residents, the consistency of amenity upkeep, and the overall atmosphere, which some reviews suggest may not always align with typical short-term RV park experiences. Prospective visitors are advised to contact the park directly to confirm current conditions, available services, and any specific policies regarding long-term residents or community conduct before making a booking, as the reviews paint a picture that is at times at odds with the general expectations of a transient RV park.

Mount Olive RV Park Reviews
The natural scenery was beautiful but they must allow people to live there year round or else we would have paid more to go somewhere else. I was appalled when a woman in her 50's or 60's with long hair and wearing nothing more than underwear it looked like approached my husband to ask him to do something for her while our boys were looking on. I was furious that a woman could just approach family men more than half naked and it was clear she was living there from the poor condition of her camper and junk around it. Another tenant told us to watch our stuff because she was a convicted thief . Tasteless
May 10, 2019 · Vanessa jonesI live by this place and and I have smelt weed and people letting kids throw rocks and glass bottles at and over my fence and a pit bull dog that has came in my yard a few time and barks at my family every time we are outside like it’s going to attack us of it wasn’t on a chain. I’m not going to put up with it anymore and the next time I have a complaint I’ll call the sheriff.
Apr 02, 2019 · Taren ChannellIf you need to be babysat, then by all means stay here…I would never recommend to anyone!! People up in everyone’s business, & telling it to everyone. Certain ones call owner everyday & tell him what everyone said & did. Most drama I’ve had any place!!
Sep 23, 2021 · Susan LongI visit a client in one of the homes nearby and had so much trouble out of a dog I sought out and recognised the owner and they really ought to require mandatory references from where they were right before coming there because Tina Baggett caused so much havoc and damage to somebody that was letting her stay there for free and there's evidence on YouTube of what she did that so much hate and threats were being made the Coaling Police removed their Facebook page and it seems that 2 men that she was staying with her have had their houses burn down so that's a lot of hate and retribution for innocent people to be around.
