Oak Harbor Lodging & RV Resort Introduce
Are you searching for "RV parks near me" in the Haines City, Florida area, seeking a tranquil and scenic location for your camper? Oak Harbor Lodging & RV Resort, situated at 100 Oak Harbor Camp, Haines City, FL 33844, USA, presents itself as a potentially ideal destination. Based on recent customer reviews, this park is lauded for its quiet atmosphere, cleanliness, and beautiful scenery, although some considerations regarding its accessibility and internal road infrastructure have been noted.
One review expresses a highly positive experience, with the guests stating, "We loved it, stayed in our camper there, already scheduled next year, and don't plan on staying anywhere else." This strong endorsement from repeat visitors, identified as Steve and Pam, speaks volumes about the overall satisfaction and positive impression left by Oak Harbor Lodging & RV Resort. Their decision to rebook for the following year and their intention to stay exclusively at this location highlight the park's appeal and the enjoyable experience they had during their stay.
Another reviewer also describes the park as "very nice quiet park," reinforcing the perception of a peaceful and relaxing environment. This can be a significant draw for those looking to escape the hustle and bustle and enjoy a serene camping experience. The reviewer does mention that the park is "a little cumbersome to get to," advising visitors to "go slow and you'll be fine." This suggests that the location might be somewhat off the main thoroughfares, requiring careful navigation. They also note that it takes approximately "10 minutes to get to a highway to get anywhere," indicating that while the park itself is quiet and perhaps secluded, access to broader transportation networks and potentially nearby amenities is still reasonably convenient.
Regarding the infrastructure within the park, the reviewer points out that "The roads in the park itself are teeny tiny." This could be a factor for RVers with larger rigs, potentially requiring extra caution and maneuvering when navigating the internal roadways. It's something to consider based on the size and handling characteristics of your camper.
The reviewer also offers a mixed assessment of the parking spaces, stating, "The spaces to park are of mixed review. Our spot, 82, was excellent. Great scenery. Cranes out your window daily." This highlights the variability in the individual campsites, with some offering exceptional views and potentially wildlife viewing opportunities, such as the daily presence of cranes. This suggests that the specific site assigned can significantly impact the overall experience, with some locations within the park being more desirable than others due to their scenic attributes.
On a positive note, the reviewer confirms that the park is "Very clean and well maintained," aligning with the positive feedback from the other guest. A clean and well-kept environment contributes significantly to the comfort and enjoyment of any RV park. However, the reviewer mentions that "Communication with the office is touch and go," which could be a point of concern for some visitors who value consistent and reliable communication with park management.
Despite the positive aspects such as the quiet atmosphere, scenic beauty, cleanliness, and the excellent experience of repeat visitors, the second reviewer concludes that they "Probably won't stay here again because of the location mostly." This suggests that while the park itself has many appealing qualities, the slightly cumbersome access and the 10-minute drive to a main highway might be a deterrent for those prioritizing immediate proximity to major routes or urban amenities.
For local users searching for "RV parks near me" in the Haines City area, Oak Harbor Lodging & RV Resort offers a compelling option if a quiet and scenic retreat is a priority. The positive experiences of guests who loved their stay and plan to return, along with the description of the park as very clean and well-maintained with beautiful scenery and wildlife, are strong selling points. However, potential visitors should be aware of the comments regarding the slightly less convenient access, the small internal roads, and the potential variability in campsite quality and views. The "touch and go" communication with the office is also a factor to consider.
To gain more specific information about Oak Harbor Lodging & RV Resort, including details about campsite sizes and layouts, internal road conditions, amenities offered, and to inquire about specific site availability (perhaps requesting a site with good scenery like space 82), interested individuals should contact the park directly at (863) 956-1341 or +1 863-956-1341. Speaking with the management will provide the most accurate and up-to-date information and allow potential guests to address any concerns regarding accessibility or internal navigation based on their RV size. It would also be wise to inquire about the best way to reach the park and any specific directions or recommendations for navigating the local roads.
In conclusion, Oak Harbor Lodging & RV Resort in Haines City, FL, offers a potentially delightful experience for those seeking a quiet and scenic RV park. The positive reviews highlight its cleanliness and the beauty of the surroundings, including opportunities for wildlife viewing. However, prospective visitors should consider the slightly less convenient location, the small internal roads, and the reported inconsistency in office communication when making their decision. Direct communication with the park is recommended to ensure it meets individual needs and preferences for an "RV park near me" in the Haines City area.

Mar 13, 2023 · Debbie MacLeodThe entrance into the park is lovely. The lake is beautiful. Absolutely no amenities whatsoever so ever . So you either walk , boating, do activities at sunset hall . But like me I don’t care to play Bingo , do crafts, ect .
Dec 27, 2023 · Brenda ComfortSince Jan 2022, when the park sold, everything has changed. Management doesn't enforce the rules equally for everyone, and the rules change frequently without notification. The waterfront fishing pier has been underwater for at least a year and has not been repaired. All the wonderful activities they talk about are bingo and pot lucks. No significant improvements have been made, but prices are going up. It seems like the new owner wants us all to leave. Negative management including ordering me to cease putting up my display screen in my yard that was used to celebrate holidays and other special days including displaying my American flag and my father's folded triangular flag in a display case on Memorial Day, 4th of July, and Veteran's Day. He was a WWII veteran. And we only put the display up for a few days at a time. 3 days is the usual display time. Done for the 3 day holiday weekend. We were actually asked to do this by the former park owner who built the park.
Jun 08, 2022 · Abram NicholsonWhat a great little community to be found. We booked this campground and later found it it was a 55+ community. After calling they allowed us to proceed with our reservation and we were not disappointed. Very quiet community and a lot of activites to keep you busy. Everyone we met iside the park was nice and polite. Sites for RV's are ok. They could use a good bit of work to level out and make them a bit wider. They were working on that while we were here but still have a lot of work to do. Overall we really enjoyed or stay and will definitly be back.
