Oak Hollow Introduce
For local users searching for “RV parks near me” on platforms that may also list mobile home parks as potential long-term or residential options, Oak Hollow, located at 2155 Robins Lane SE, Salem, OR 97306, USA, presents a community to consider. While primarily a manufactured home park, such communities can sometimes accommodate RVs on a longer-term basis, making them relevant for individuals seeking extended stays or permanent living arrangements within the context of the “RV parks near me” category. This introduction aims to provide a detailed overview of Oak Hollow based on the limited publicly available customer reviews, combined with general expectations for a manufactured home park, to assist local users in their decision-making process.
Oak Hollow can be contacted by phone at (503) 585-7111 or via their mobile number +1 503-585-7111. These contact details are essential for local users to inquire about residency options, lot availability, rental rates (if applicable for RVs), community rules and regulations, and any specific services or amenities offered.
The publicly available customer reviews for Oak Hollow provide some insights into the community, particularly regarding recent changes in management and the enforcement of rules. One detailed review highlights a significant shift in the community’s atmosphere following a change in ownership. Residents who were accustomed to a more relaxed environment now report a stricter enforcement of rules, leading to a feeling that the park is “less like home, more like an HOA.”
The review mentions specific rules that have been heavily enforced, such as restrictions on the visibility of garbage cans from the road, which the reviewer finds unusual compared to regular neighborhoods. Additionally, there is a strict “NO PARKING ON THE STREET” policy, even in front of residents’ own homes. Street parking is now designated solely for visitors, a situation that residents find inconvenient given that many households have multiple vehicles due to the more affordable nature of manufactured home living and larger family sizes in smaller homes.
Another point of concern raised in the review is the implementation of regular inspections of residents’ yards. While acknowledging that the homeowners own their manufactured homes but lease the land, the reviewer expresses that these inspections feel intrusive and create a sense of renting rather than ownership. The residents feel that management could assess the properties by simply driving or walking by without entering private yards that are not causing any issues.
The reviewer notes that many residents have lived in Oak Hollow for a long time, some since before 2012, and had experienced no problems with previous management. The change in management and the stricter enforcement of rules are the primary sources of the current dissatisfaction.
Another brief review mentions that Oak Hollow consists of “Manufacturered homes on 2 different spots. 80 or so leased land spots. No empty lots.” This indicates that the park is relatively established and has a high occupancy rate, with no vacant lots available at the time of the review. This could suggest that it is a desirable location or that there is high demand for affordable housing in the area.
Based on the nature of a manufactured home park, we can infer some of the services and features that are likely available at Oak Hollow:
- Individual lots leased for manufactured homes, which may or may not accommodate RVs for long-term stays depending on park policies. These lots would typically have utility hookups, including water, sewer, and electricity.
- Paved roads within the park for access.
- Possibly street lighting for safety.
- Management services, including rule enforcement, maintenance of common areas, and handling resident issues.
- Waste management services for residents.
- Potentially, communal amenities such as a laundry facility, a community center, or recreational areas, although these are not mentioned in the limited reviews.
The environment of Oak Hollow appears to be a residential community of manufactured homes in Salem, Oregon. The recent change in management has seemingly shifted the atmosphere towards a more rule-oriented setting, which has been a point of concern for some long-term residents. The high occupancy rate suggests that it is a well-utilized community, possibly due to its affordability or location within Salem.
For local users searching for “RV parks near me,” Oak Hollow might be an option to consider if they are looking for a long-term stay and are open to the environment and regulations of a manufactured home park. It is crucial to inquire specifically about the park’s policies on RVs, including whether they are permitted for long-term residency, any restrictions on RV types or ages, and the terms of the lease or rental agreement for RV lots.
Given the concerns raised in the reviews about the strict rules and inspections, potential residents should carefully consider whether this type of environment aligns with their preferences. Understanding the full scope of the community’s rules and regulations before committing to a stay would be advisable.
To gain a more comprehensive understanding of Oak Hollow, local users should contact the park directly using the provided phone numbers to inquire about:
- Availability of lots suitable for long-term RV residency (if permitted).
- Monthly rental rates for RV lots and the terms of the lease agreement.
- Specific amenities offered within the park.
- A complete list of the current rules and regulations for residents.
- Policies regarding parking, pets, and visitors.
- The process for applying for residency and any requirements.
A direct conversation with the park management will be essential to clarify the current environment and policies, especially in light of the recent changes reported by residents. Potential residents might also want to inquire about the frequency and nature of the inspections mentioned in the review.
In conclusion, Oak Hollow in Salem, Oregon, is a well-occupied manufactured home park that may potentially offer long-term RV residency options for users searching for “RV parks near me.” However, recent changes in management have led to stricter rule enforcement, which has been a point of dissatisfaction for some long-term residents. Potential residents should carefully consider the implications of these rules and the overall environment before deciding if Oak Hollow is the right fit for their long-term accommodation needs. Direct communication with the park management is strongly recommended to obtain detailed and current information.

Oak Hollow Reviews
Recently our owner sold to a company. We were used to feeling like we owned our homes. Once the new company took over they enforced rules heavily. This Park feels less like home, more like an HOA. You must follow the rules or you will be charged extra. Garbage cans cant be shown from the road, which is extremely unusual in regular neighborhoods. NO PARKING ON THE STREET. Not even in front of your house. Now street parking is only for visitors… please, let me tell you, none of us hardly have enough visitors that there is no parking. Most of us live in these manufactured homes because it is far cheaper than owning a house. Which means many families are living in a large household in these small 3 bedroom homes, which means more cars. We also get regular inspections, which is a bit ridiculous, I know it’s their lot that our houses that we own are on but we pay our rent. I don’t see why they can’t walk or drive by to see what they need to see. Coming into our private yards that aren’t bothering anyone is just a huge inconvenience and makes us feel like we are renting in our own homes. I understand the rules completely, without rules then things can be wild. But all of us have lived here since even before 2012. We’ve been here for a long time and we’ve had no problems at all until the new management came in.
