Emerald Valley RV Park Introduce
For those searching for "RV parks near me" in the Jefferson, Oregon area, particularly those traveling along Interstate 5, Emerald Valley RV Park, located at 11223 Hochspeier Rd SE, Jefferson, OR 97352, USA, presents itself as a potential option. They can be contacted at (503) 363-0701 or +1 503-363-0701. Based on recent online reviews, the park offers certain conveniences, such as easy access to the freeway and a clean environment, but also presents potential concerns regarding management interactions.
One positive aspect highlighted in the reviews is the park's convenient location for travelers on I-5. One guest specifically mentioned it as "the easiest off and on the freeway," which is a significant advantage for those looking for a quick and accessible overnight stop during their journey. This ease of access can save valuable time and reduce stress, especially for those driving larger RVs or towing trailers.
Another positive point raised is the cleanliness and tidiness of the park. The same reviewer noted that "Everything clean and tidy," suggesting that Emerald Valley RV Park takes pride in maintaining its grounds and facilities. A clean environment is crucial for a comfortable and enjoyable RV stay, contributing to a positive overall experience for guests.
The natural surroundings of Emerald Valley RV Park are also mentioned favorably. The reviewer described "Green rolling hills surround the park," indicating a pleasant and potentially scenic environment. This could be particularly appealing to those who appreciate natural beauty and a peaceful setting during their travels or extended stays.
Furthermore, the park offers practical amenities for RVers, such as "Gravel pull thru" sites. Pull-through sites are highly desirable as they simplify the process of parking and departing, especially for larger rigs, eliminating the need for backing up. This feature can enhance the convenience and ease of use of the park for a wide range of RV travelers.
However, it is crucial to consider a significantly negative experience reported by another guest. This review details a highly unsatisfactory interaction with the park management. The guest, who stayed for one week and wished to extend their stay for an additional night, was allegedly met with rudeness and told that the park was fully booked for the foreseeable future. The situation escalated when the management accused the guest and their companions of causing disturbances (putting up a tent and walking around late due to a birthday celebration) and even of theft (a stolen bike and propane tank), based solely on their behavior.
According to the review, when the guest politely requested a list of the rules they had supposedly broken, the manager refused to provide any documentation. The guest's request for the manager's name was eventually granted. Following this exchange, the guest expressed their negative opinion and left, vowing never to return. This account raises serious concerns about the professionalism, communication style, and customer service practices of the park management.
The stark contrast between the two reviews highlights the importance of considering all available feedback when evaluating Emerald Valley RV Park. While one guest had a positive experience, particularly regarding the convenience and cleanliness for an overnight stay, the other reported a deeply negative encounter involving accusations and a lack of customer service.
For those searching for "RV parks near me" for a longer stay, the negative review regarding being abruptly turned away and accused of wrongdoing, even after a week-long stay, should be carefully considered. It suggests potential issues with management's approach to guests and their willingness to resolve misunderstandings or address concerns professionally.
Given the limited information and the strongly contrasting experiences, it is difficult to ascertain the overall environment, services, and features of Emerald Valley RV Park beyond the points mentioned in the reviews. There is no information provided about additional amenities such as laundry facilities, restrooms, Wi-Fi, pet policies, or any promotional offers.
Prospective visitors should be aware of the following points gleaned from the available reviews:
- The park offers easy access to and from Interstate 5, making it convenient for travelers.
- The grounds are reported to be clean and tidy.
- The surrounding area features green rolling hills, offering a potentially pleasant environment.
- Gravel pull-through sites are available, simplifying parking for RVs.
- There is a significant negative report regarding rude and accusatory behavior from the management, as well as a refusal to provide information about alleged rule violations.
- The park may have strict policies regarding guest behavior, and deviations could lead to negative interactions with management.
- Booking in advance may be necessary, especially if planning an extended stay.
To make an informed decision about whether Emerald Valley RV Park is suitable, individuals searching for "RV parks near me" should consider the following steps:
- Contact the park directly at (503) 363-0701 or +1 503-363-0701 to inquire about their current rates, availability, policies, and amenities.
- Specifically ask about their policies regarding tents, guest behavior, and the process for addressing any concerns or disputes.
- If planning an extended stay, inquire about their procedures for extending reservations and any potential restrictions.
- Ask about any additional facilities or services offered, such as laundry, restrooms, showers, Wi-Fi, or pet areas.
- Consider reading additional online reviews from other sources to gain a broader perspective on the experiences of past guests.
- If possible, and if planning a longer stay, consider visiting the park in person to assess the environment and potentially speak with other campers (if permitted and appropriate).
While Emerald Valley RV Park offers the convenience of its location near I-5 and a clean environment, the serious negative experience reported with the management should give potential guests pause and prompt thorough investigation before making a reservation, especially for extended stays. It is crucial to have a clear understanding of the park's policies and to feel confident in the professionalism and customer service of the management to ensure a pleasant and stress-free RV experience.

Emerald Valley RV Park Reviews
Bad experience. Only stayed one week. Upon readying to leave I went to ask about staying another night. I was rudely told that they were booked up that night, the next night and pretty much forever. She then went on saying that because our first night we put up a tent next to our r.v., and one of our other nights we were up too late walking around outside. I explained to her that it was my friends birthday and that is why we were up late to which she said well people around here don't do that. Then she snotily said a bike and a propane tank were stolen from somebody and she believed it was us. Straight out accused us, because of it behavior she said. I was agast, I politely ask for a list of the rules we had broken and was told that she didn't have to show me anything and she was not going to show me anything. I ask for her name which she gave me. Very quickly after that I told her exactly what I thought before giving her the finger as I walked away. More than happy to never return.
Mar 29, 2025 · Teresa ColemanThis rv park worked well for us. One night stay as we were traveling north on I5. The easiest off and on the freeway. Everything clean and tidy. Green rolling hills surround the park. We will definitely keep them on our list for a longer stay in future. Gravel pull thru made it easy.
Mar 06, 2025 · Carol NThis is mainly a full time RV park. The sites are small for overnighters. We were thankful to have a spot for the 3 weeks we were there. The sites are small and gravel. Not always level and convenient to the hookups. The road noise is road noise, for us it is a welcomed "white noise". Our only downfall is the rules state "NO SMOKING" anywhere in the RV park. Our neighbors(full timers) diagonally from us chained smoke daily and the lovely smell of weed on a basis. Not something we were prepared to constantly smell. Cannot really comment on the bathroom or showers since we didn't use them. They were in the middle of remodeling the family one. The laundry is small and very reasonable. TV/cable & internet were not the greatest. The office staff for us was very friendly and attentive. However, no communication about the smokers. As with any RV park you always have the people who come in who do not think rules apply to them. The views are nice. It is an easy on and off the I-5. You are in the middle, easy commute to Albany and Salem. For the most part it is a quiet little park.
Nov 12, 2024 · LaurieThis is a camp for live aboards. We were the only RV that was travelling. We were gifted with the site beside the dog park even though we don't have a dog.The road noise was unbelievable. The grounds are well maintained with none of the usual live aboard junk laying around. The sites are small and very close together. When we arrived a woman stepped out of the office, told us our site number and gave verbal instructions something like, "go up there and go right, then left, then right..... etc." No map, and we had to circle around and around in our RV towing our car. Not easy when sites are so close together. As I said, the facility looked clean and well maintained. We did not use the restrooms so I can't report on them.
Oct 03, 2024 · Carol FiferPlace is extremely clean and well taken care of. Staff is very friendly and help. I will definitely come back and highly recommend.
