Orangewood Shadows RV Resort Introduce
For those seeking "RV parks near me" in Mesa, Arizona, Orangewood Shadows RV Resort, located at 3165 E University Dr, Mesa, AZ 85213, USA, offers a distinct living experience with a focus on cleanliness, community, and a tranquil, pet-free environment. You can reach them at (480) 832-9080 or via mobile at +1 480-832-9080 for inquiries and reservations.
Based on feedback from residents and visitors, Orangewood Shadows RV Resort is consistently described as "very neat and clean" and "fastidiously tidy and clean." This emphasis on cleanliness extends to its facilities, including the "warm and clean" pools and the "large and clean" laundry facilities, which also feature a convenient clothesline area. This dedication to maintaining a pristine environment contributes to a comfortable and pleasant living experience for all.
The resort fosters a friendly and welcoming atmosphere, with residents described as "friendly" and the staff as "extremely helpful." This sense of community is further enhanced by the numerous organized activities available to residents. These range from card games and other social gatherings to active pursuits like water volleyball and shuffleboard, as well as opportunities for biking and hiking. This robust activity schedule ensures that there are ample opportunities for socializing and staying active within the resort.
While Orangewood Shadows RV Resort does accommodate RVs, it's noted that it has "more park models than RV spaces," a common characteristic of many RV parks in the area. However, there are still "spots for RVs scattered around the park." For those planning longer stays, particularly during the winter season, it's important to be aware of the minimum stay requirement of one month. A unique and appreciated policy is that should a guest stay a few days longer than a month, the resort will pro-rate the monthly rate to a nightly rate, a practice not commonly found elsewhere, offering flexibility for those with slightly extended travel plans.
Each site at Orangewood Shadows RV Resort is equipped with essential utilities, including water, sewer, and garbage collection. Residents are responsible for their own metered electric usage. The presence of orange and grapefruit trees on almost every site adds a touch of local flavor and potential for fresh citrus, although it's noted that these trees do not provide significant shade. Therefore, it is recommended to choose a site with your outdoor living space on the north side for optimal sun protection.
The location of Orangewood Shadows RV Resort is highly convenient, with "numerous restaurants, parks, shopping" options readily accessible, typical of an urban setting. This allows residents to easily access everyday necessities, dining options, and recreational areas outside the resort.
A significant feature that sets Orangewood Shadows RV Resort apart from many other parks in the area is its "no pets" policy. While acknowledging that this might not suit everyone, the resort has implemented this rule to maintain a quieter environment and less congested streets, which has been appreciated by residents seeking a more tranquil atmosphere. For those traveling without pets, this policy can be a considerable advantage.
While the majority of sites are described as "fairly quiet," especially those located away from the main road, it's mentioned that sites along the main road could experience daytime noise. Additionally, occasional airplane noise may be heard, although the airport is approximately 20-25 minutes away, suggesting that the noise is generally not overly disruptive.
In summary, Orangewood Shadows RV Resort offers a meticulously maintained, friendly, and active community in Mesa, Arizona. Its no-pet policy contributes to a quieter and cleaner environment, appealing to those without pets. The availability of two pools, numerous organized activities, and well-kept laundry facilities enhance the living experience. The convenient location near urban amenities adds to its attractiveness. While it has a significant number of park models, RV spots are available, and the flexible pro-rated nightly rate for stays slightly exceeding a month during the winter is a notable benefit. Potential residents should consider the lack of significant shade on most sites and the potential for noise on sites near the main road. For local users searching for "RV parks near me" that prioritize cleanliness, community engagement, and a pet-free atmosphere, Orangewood Shadows RV Resort presents a compelling option in the East Valley.

Orangewood Shadows RV Resort Reviews
Renting from a friend. Very neat and cleanNo pets. Pool is warm and clean. Residents friendlyWe might just buy our own place.
Apr 05, 2024 · dori bulthuisThis has more park models than RV spaces - like most in the area. Though there are spots for RVs scattered around the park. The park is fastidiously tidy and clean. Staff is extremely helpful. They have two pools as well as many organized activities from cards and games to water volleyball and shuffleboard, biking, hiking, and more. Laundry facilities are large and clean with a clothesline area. The people are all very friendly. In the winter there is a minimum of a 1 month stay. BUT.... Should you stay a few days longer, they pro-rate the monthly rate to a nightly rate. Not something we have seen elsewhere. We have water, sewer and garbage collection at our site. We pay for our own metered electric. The park is conveniently located near numerous restaurants, parks, shopping - all things typically found in an urban setting. What sets this park apart from the numerous others in the area is that they don't allow pets. Nothing against pets - but the park is much quieter and the streets are less clogged without all the dogs. Worked for us! There are orange and grapefruit trees on almost every site. But no shade. Choose a site with your outdoor living space on the north for the best sun protection. Our site was away from the main road and fairly quiet. Those sites on the main road could be noisy - at least in the daytime. Once in a while we would hear an airplane, but they are fairly high up although we are only about 20-25 minutes from the airport.
May 20, 2022 · Susan SchwadererPrice is higher then I would pay. I like being closer to the mountains and convenient to things that interest me. Don't want to be driving a long way to be enjoying sites. This is an RV Resort not a motel.
Jan 27, 2024 · Deloris HILLGrandparents use to have a place here, my family would come down every Christmas for years. Wonderful place, staff is super friendly, accommodations are really nice and the park is kept quite clean. Great sense of community and easy to meet new people.
Nov 08, 2020 · Jack JosefI used to come here as a child to visit my grandparents and loved it, however management has taken a turn for the worst in the last couple years. I have been told it is “not a vacation destination “ and not “suitable for children” by management. I would not recommend this park if you have kids or grandkids visiting. Management does NOT welcome children.
