Park View Manufactured Home Community Introduce
Park View Manufactured Home Community, located at 1900 SE 28th St, Grimes, IA 50111, USA, is a residential option for individuals and families seeking manufactured home living. For those exploring the "RV Parks Near Me" category, it's important to note that while primarily a manufactured home community, some manufactured home parks may occasionally offer long-term RV parking depending on their specific policies and available space. For direct inquiries, Park View Manufactured Home Community can be reached at (515) 986-3324 or +1 515-986-3324.
The environment at Park View Manufactured Home Community presents a mixed perception based on user reviews. One long-term resident describes it as a "great, quiet community," which suggests a generally peaceful atmosphere conducive to residential living. This positive sentiment highlights the potential for a stable and calm environment for manufactured home owners. However, another review brings forth significant concerns regarding various aspects of the park's environment and management. This review mentions issues with "potholes" and ineffective "speed bumps" that cause "more wear and tear on my car for no reason." It also specifically calls out "snow removal is none existent," which can be a significant environmental factor during Iowa winters. Furthermore, the playground is described as "full of graffiti, garbage, and rotten wood chips," indicating potential issues with the upkeep and safety of communal recreational areas. The general aesthetic and functional environment, therefore, appears to be subject to varying experiences, with some residents enjoying the quiet, and others facing challenges related to maintenance and adherence to rules.
Situated in Grimes, Iowa, the community benefits from its location within a top-rated school district, which is a significant environmental advantage for families with children. The park is also conveniently located approximately 14 miles from Des Moines, offering residents access to a wider range of activities, shopping (such as Walmart, Target, and Menards), dining (like Food Depot Bar and Grill and Hacienda Vieja), and cultural attractions like Blank Park Zoo, Pappajohn Sculpture Park, and Adventureland Park. Local transportation options, such as buses, are also mentioned as being available to facilitate exploration of the city and surrounding areas. This broader geographical environment enhances the appeal of Park View for long-term residents seeking community living with urban accessibility.
In terms of services, manufactured home communities typically provide lot leases that include access to essential utilities like water, sewer, and electricity hookups. Professional on-site management is commonly offered, handling day-to-day responsibilities, maintenance, and community relations. One positive review specifically praises Debbie, likely a member of the park's management or sales team, for being "exceptional to work with" during the home buying process, suggesting a supportive service experience for some residents. However, the critical review implies that certain services, such as consistent rule enforcement and snow removal, may be lacking or inconsistently applied. The fluctuating management, with claims that "Every time the park changes hands the new owners are worst than the last," could also impact service consistency over time. While basic utility access is expected, the quality and reliability of broader community services like maintenance and rule enforcement appear to be areas of concern for some residents. For RV users, the provision of full hookups would be a key service, but the overall park maintenance issues raised by reviews should be considered.
Park View Manufactured Home Community offers several features aimed at creating a pleasant living environment. Advertised amenities include a basketball court, community events, covered mailboxes, an on-site sales office, a picnic area/pavilion/grill, a playground, and a storm shelter. These features indicate an intention to provide a family-friendly and interactive community setting. The presence of an on-site sales office suggests that the park facilitates the purchase and placement of manufactured homes, making homeownership a more accessible reality for many. The community is also described as "pet-friendly," which is a significant feature for many prospective residents. However, conflicting information regarding pet policies, specifically about dog size and service animal harnessing, is noted in one review, where it states "Some families are allowed to have a 20 lb dog and others are not. If they are service animals they need to be harnessed at all times. But I do not believe they are service animals." This highlights a potential inconsistency in the application of rules, which could affect the resident experience. The condition of the playground, with "graffiti, garbage, and rotten wood chips," also suggests that some advertised features might not be maintained to an optimal standard. The claim that "speed bumps do nothing to slow traffic down" indicates a challenge with traffic management despite the presence of a feature designed for safety. On a positive note, the presence of "cats running around" is mentioned as a feature that has deterred mice, though this is presented alongside concerns about new owners trying to remove them.
Regarding promotional information, Park View Manufactured Home Community, being managed by Bayshore Home Sales (or affiliated with RHP Properties), has publicly advertised promotions. These promotions are typically designed to attract new residents for manufactured home purchases or leases. For those specifically looking for "RV Parks Near Me" and considering Park View for an extended stay, it would be crucial to inquire if any of these promotions or similar offers apply to RV lot leases. Park View Manufactured Home Community Reviews
Do you like it when people pick and choose who has to fallow the rules and who does not have to fallow the rules? If so then this is the place for you. Some families are allowed to have a 20 lb dog and others are not. If they are service animals they need to be harnessed at all times. But I do not believe they are service animals. Lot rent rises 30 dollars every 6 months. Snow removal is none existent. speed bumps do nothing to slow traffic down so its just more wear and tear on my car for no reason. Every time the park changes hands the new owners are worst than the last. Play ground is full of graffiti, garbage, and rotten wood chips. The only good thing about this place is the cats running around. have not seen a single mouse. but don't worry the new owners are trying to get rid of them so the mice can move in.
Dec 22, 2023 · Tree WillI lived here for 13 years and it is a great, quiet community. We have also rented the space at office several times. It is great for birthday parties etc.. When we decided to buy a house Debbie helped with the entire process. She was exceptional to work with. Highly recommend this park to anyone.
Aug 20, 2020 · jon williamsVery quiet community. Lot of nosy people out which is good for the community watching out for one another. They could do a little fixing of the roads where the speed bumps are think if you go over you're going to cut a tire but overall very beautiful place friendly people especially when home here really friendly people person
Apr 30, 2023 · Charles HawkinsThe park is absolutely beautiful! We have family living in the park (20 yrs) and have NEVER had a bad experience. What a great place to live (according to family) and visit. The park always looks great, clean, well kept, safe and, good sized lots. Thank you for a great, safe place for our family.
Aug 22, 2021 · david jonesContinues to raise the lot rent. There is not improvements to the streets or how the snow is removed. You do your own yard work including mowing.Nice homes, not worth the lot rent raisings.
