Plantation Place Dallas RV Park Introduce
Are you searching for "RV parks near me" in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex? Consider Plantation Place Dallas RV Park, located at 345 Barnes Bridge Rd, Sunnyvale, TX 75182, USA. This RV park has garnered positive reviews for its spacious lots, peaceful atmosphere, friendly staff, and convenient location near both Mesquite and Garland, while still offering a tranquil retreat tucked away from the main thoroughfares.
One reviewer described Plantation Place Dallas RV Park as a "great place to park a camper or RV," highlighting the friendly and self-respecting nature of the other residents. Despite its central location between Mesquite and Garland, the park benefits from being "quietly tucked behind a few subdivisions," providing a peaceful and secluded feel. This offers the convenience of city access while maintaining a relaxed ambiance.
A significant advantage noted by multiple reviewers is the size of the RV spaces. They are described as "oversized," providing ample room to park two vehicles alongside the RV. Additionally, there is "plenty of space between hook-ups," ensuring privacy and ease of maneuvering. While the parking surfaces are gravel rather than concrete, one reviewer mentioned that their gravel lot was "level and large." Another reviewer did note that the gravel "shifts a little with the weather over time," which is a minor consideration for potential guests.
The upkeep of Plantation Place Dallas RV Park is also positively mentioned, with one reviewer observing that "the park is well-maintained" and that "the maintenance men are out working everyday to improve the park." This dedication to maintaining and enhancing the property suggests a commitment to providing a pleasant environment for guests. The staff is consistently described as "very friendly and accommodating," contributing to a positive overall experience.
For those needing laundry facilities, Plantation Place Dallas RV Park offers a laundry room that is "clean" and uses a convenient "pay by app" system. One reviewer suggested that "they could use a few more washers/dryers considering how busy the park is," indicating that the existing facilities might sometimes be in high demand. However, the availability and cleanliness of the laundry service are definitely a plus for travelers, especially those on longer journeys.
The location of the park is described as "beautiful," although one reviewer noted initial confusion with Google Maps directing them through residential areas to reach the park. This suggests that while the final location is appealing, the approach might seem unexpected. The park's proximity to attractions in the area, including Wylie and Dallas, makes it a convenient base for exploring the region.
The presence of a "large pond" on the property is highlighted as a "very peaceful" feature, adding to the tranquil environment of the park. While one reviewer did not stay long enough to use all the facilities, they found them to be "inviting," suggesting that the communal areas are well-kept and appealing.
One potential drawback mentioned is the absence of a swimming pool. A reviewer noted that "there's no pool so that might be an issue in the heat of summer." This could be a significant consideration for travelers looking to cool off during the hot Texas months.
Another appreciated feature mentioned is the presence of a "water filtration machine on site." However, one reviewer noted that it was "not working" during their stay. While the intention to provide filtered water is positive, its reliability might be a point to check with the park management.
A significant amenity that received high praise is the "awesome" Wi-Fi service. One reviewer specifically wished that "more parks provided this service," underscoring its reliability and quality at Plantation Place Dallas RV Park. In today's connected world, good Wi-Fi is often a crucial factor for travelers.

Plantation Place Dallas RV Park Reviews
This is a great place to park a camper or RV. Everyone in the park is very nice keeps to themselves. Although it’s centrally located between Mesquite and garland, it’s quietly tucked behind a few subdivisions which gives it a peaceful feel. The spaces were oversized, perfect to park two vehicles with your Rv and plenty of space between hook-ups. The park is well-maintained, the maintenance men are out working everyday to improve the park and the staff is very friendly and accommodating. I do wish they had concrete pads to park on, the gravel shifts a little with the weather over time. The laundry room came in handy, pay by app, they could use a few more washers/dryers considering how busy the park is. Overall our stay was great, I would definitely stay there again.
May 01, 2025 · Tawna BeathThe park location is beautiful although we were wondering where Google was taking us as we passed residential homes. While the lots are gravel, not concrete, it was level and large. It was very quiet at night. The large pond was very peaceful. We didn't stay long enough to use the facilities but they were inviting. There's no pool so that might be an issue in the heat of summer but we were there to see attractions in the area including Wylie and Dallas. We were pleased to see a water filtration machine on site but it was not working while we were there. The laundry was clean and the prices good (pay through app).Oh, and the wifi was awesome! I wish more parks provided this service.
Apr 09, 2025 · andrew wylieVery nice campground with loads of trails to walk thru fields, trees and next to a river. Quiet as well. The guy working there was hugely helpful. The only star taken was for the laundry...the app was broken and it's needed to do laundry. They did schedule maintenance for the machines just after we left so maybe it's all good now.
Apr 29, 2025 · ibrewalotPlantation place is a nice place to stay full time or short term! The staff is greatand attentive . Quiet and friendly. Dog park is nice too.The biggest thing needed is pond maintenance. We weren't able to really fish due to the excessive growth in the pond and maybe more access to more of the pond to enjoy the fishing.Other than that we are having a great time!
May 01, 2025 · Ben BarichivichSpaces were clean and hookups all in working order. Beautiful property away from freeways, yet just 5 mins for easy on and off. Security was constantly monitoring. Would come back.
