Rice Hill RV Park LLC Introduce
Are you searching for "RV parks near me" in the Oakland, Oregon area that offer a convenient and clean stopover? Rice Hill RV Park LLC, located at 1120 John Long Rd, Oakland, OR 97462, presents itself as a potentially suitable option for both short and potentially longer stays. Based on recent customer reviews available online, this RV park appears to be a "cute little gem" that offers ease of access, friendly service, and essential amenities, although some environmental factors should be considered.
One reviewer described Rice Hill RV Park as a "cute little gem" that their husband found, indicating a positive initial impression. They stayed for two nights and found it "perfect enough for that," suggesting its suitability for short-term stays or overnight stops during travel. This aligns with the idea of local users seeking "RV parks near me" for a quick and convenient break during their journeys.
The experience upon arrival seems to be a strong point for Rice Hill RV Park. The same reviewer mentioned arriving late but being promptly assisted by the gentleman hosting there, who "saw us and helped us out immediately." This highlights a level of attentiveness and helpfulness from the staff, which can be particularly reassuring for travelers arriving at unconventional hours. This positive initial interaction contributes significantly to a favorable first impression of the park.
Regarding the environment, one reviewer noted that the park was "quiet minus the highway traffic." This is an important factor to consider for those sensitive to noise. The reviewer offered a practical tip, suggesting the use of a sleep machine or fan to mitigate the highway noise, implying that while present, it might be manageable with such aids. This suggests that while the park itself maintains a quiet atmosphere, its proximity to the highway introduces a degree of ambient noise.
Another environmental observation, albeit a concern, was related to pet etiquette. The reviewer mentioned seeing some owners not harnessing their dogs, which made them "a bit nervous," especially with larger dogs. They did acknowledge that this issue seems to be prevalent in many places. While not a direct reflection on the park's management or rules, it's an observation about the behavior of some visitors that potential guests with pets or concerns about loose animals might want to keep in mind. Hopefully, the park has and enforces rules regarding pet leashing to ensure the safety and comfort of all guests.
Despite the highway noise and the observation about unleashed dogs, the first reviewer concluded that "If we had to do a drive through for a couple nights we would definitely come back." This indicates that the positive aspects of the park, such as the friendly service and overall suitability for a short stay, outweighed the noted drawbacks for this particular guest.
Another piece of feedback from this reviewer concerned the registration process. They advised future guests to "make sure to ask for an email when you register for nights" as they did not receive one, leading to some confusion with their paperwork upon arrival. This suggests a potential area for improvement in the park's communication or registration procedures. Ensuring clear and timely communication, such as providing a confirmation email, can help prevent misunderstandings and streamline the check-in process for guests.
A second reviewer offered a more concise but generally positive assessment of Rice Hill RV Park. They stated, "The park was clean quiet. The size of the spaces is great. Easy to find, get to, and park my trailer." This feedback corroborates the cleanliness of the park and highlights the spaciousness of the RV sites, which is a significant advantage for many RV travelers. The ease of finding, accessing, and parking within the park also contributes to a stress-free experience, especially for those arriving after a long drive or with larger rigs.
This second reviewer also noted that the "Staff seemed friendly," reinforcing the positive comments about the park's hospitality. Friendly and helpful staff can greatly enhance the overall satisfaction of guests and make them feel more welcome and comfortable during their stay.
Further environmental details were provided by the second reviewer, who mentioned, "There is a bit of noise from the pilot station and the freeway. But the park itself was quiet." This again confirms the presence of external noise sources due to the park's location near a pilot station (likely a truck stop or similar facility) and the freeway. However, it also reiterates that within the park boundaries, the atmosphere is generally quiet, suggesting that the noise is somewhat contained or localized to the periphery. This is an important distinction for potential guests to consider based on their noise sensitivity.
On the positive side, the second reviewer pointed out a convenient amenity: "It's nice that they sell propane on site." The availability of on-site propane sales is a significant benefit for RVers, as it allows them to easily replenish their propane tanks without having to travel to a separate location. This adds to the convenience and practicality of staying at Rice Hill RV Park.
Finally, this reviewer mentioned that "the nearby services are excellent." This suggests that while the park itself offers essential amenities like propane, its location also provides easy access to other services that RV travelers might need, such as gas stations, restaurants, or supplies. Proximity to such services can be a major draw when choosing "RV parks near me," as it adds to the overall convenience and practicality of the location.
Based on the information gathered from these reviews, Rice Hill RV Park LLC appears to be a clean and conveniently located option for those seeking "RV parks near me" in the Oakland, Oregon area. Its strengths include friendly and helpful staff, spacious RV sites, ease of access, on-site propane sales, and proximity to nearby services. However, potential guests should be aware of the potential for noise from the adjacent highway and a nearby pilot station, although this might be mitigated with personal measures like using a fan or sleep machine. Additionally, while not directly a park issue, the observation about some unleashed dogs might be a consideration for those with pets or concerns about pet safety.
Currently, no specific promotional information was provided in the reviews. Local users interested in staying at Rice Hill RV Park LLC are encouraged to contact them directly at (541) 849-2335 or +1 541-849-2335 to inquire about current rates, availability, and any special offers that may be available. It would also be advisable to ask about their pet policies and registration procedures to ensure a smooth and comfortable stay.
In conclusion, Rice Hill RV Park LLC offers a convenient and seemingly pleasant stopover for RV travelers in the Oakland, Oregon region. Its friendly service, clean facilities, spacious sites, and helpful amenities like on-site propane make it a worthwhile consideration when searching for "RV parks near me." While potential noise from the highway and pilot station should be factored into the decision, the overall positive feedback suggests that Rice Hill RV Park LLC provides a solid option for a short or potentially longer stay in Southern Oregon.

Cute little gem my husband found. We stayed 2 nights and was perfect enough for that. We came in late but the gentleman who hosts there saw us and helped us out immediately.Quiet minus the highway traffic, but tip use a sleep machine or fan to sleep with and it won't bother you. We did see some owners not harness their dogs while we were there which made us a bit nervous, but I have noticed thats pretty much everywhere you go now. Kinda dangerous especially with larger dogs.If we had to do a drive through for a couple nights we would definitely come back. Also make sure to ask for an email when you register for nights, we didn't get one and our paperwork wasn't waiting for us. Guess a bit of a confusion of us staying there.

Feb 26, 2024 · Madison HeaterVery nice landscaping and grounds keeping! Clean showers and bathrooms. Very long and wide pull throughs. Staff very nice and truly appreciate choosing their rv park. Next to highway - big deal. Next to pilot flying j but no noise so very convenient. Awesome price compared to others that charge way more and not the nicest place. Highly recommend!
Apr 12, 2024 · Dave LorenzenA very nice place to stay. Lots of grass for my dog... not something I can say about other locations..Driving a 40' motorhome pulling a Jeep GC was easy to maneuver there. A small park located right off the 5 and next door to a truck stop made it a perfect stop for us.
Feb 03, 2024 · David LipsyGreat place to overnight on our way through. Sites and roads are paved. Starlink worked fine. Some trees. Very convenient to the interstate. Utilities worked fine. 50 amp
