Eagle Valley RV Park Introduce
For local users searching for "RV parks near me" in the Oakland, Oregon area, Eagle Valley RV Park, located at 221 Eagle Valley Rd, Oakland, OR 97462, USA, presents a somewhat complex picture based on recent customer feedback. While past reviews highlighted positive aspects, more recent updates indicate significant changes under new ownership that potential visitors should carefully consider. You can reach them at (541) 290-9120 or their mobile number, +1 541-290-9120, to inquire about the current conditions and services.
One of the earliest reviews simply described Eagle Valley RV Park as a "Nice place, affordable friendly people." This initial feedback suggests a welcoming atmosphere and reasonable pricing, which are often key factors for RV travelers. This positive sentiment might have been reflective of the park under its previous management.
However, a more recent "UPDATE" paints a concerning picture of the changes that have occurred. This update notes "sad to see the new changes with a new owner who lives in another state and a park manager who doesn't even talk to you now." This immediately raises questions about the current level of on-site management and communication. The lack of interaction from the park manager could be a significant drawback for visitors who might need assistance or have inquiries during their stay.
The update further mentions that "There are no office hours," which could create considerable inconvenience for check-in, problem resolution, or obtaining information about the park and the local area. The absence of a readily available point of contact can detract from the overall guest experience and sense of security.
Furthermore, the recent review expresses dissatisfaction with essential services, stating, "Forget getting cable or having reliable internet." In today's connected world, reliable internet access is often a crucial amenity for both short-term and long-term RVers, whether for work, communication, or entertainment. The reported lack of reliable internet is a significant negative point.
The reviewer concludes their update with a strong recommendation: "This park is open but no one is home. Best to keep on going and get more for your money. Other parks in the area charge less and have way more with a Manager there for problems that could arise." This suggests that the perceived value proposition of Eagle Valley RV Park has diminished under the new ownership and management, and that alternative options in the vicinity might offer better amenities and service for a potentially lower cost.
To provide a more balanced perspective, it's important to consider feedback from a year prior to these changes. A review from that time offered a much more positive outlook. The guest, who had been living there for almost a year, described it as "a great park to live in." They specifically praised the "Park Owner's" (presumably the previous owners) as "wonderful" and attentive to the smooth operation of the park. The mention of "Beautiful landscaping with touches that show attention to details with lovely Tulips and Daffodils growing this Spring" indicates that the park was once aesthetically pleasing and well-maintained.
The past review also highlighted positive amenities, including "a awesome place for your dog's to get a good run and play with," indicating a pet-friendly environment that many RV travelers appreciate. The laundry facilities were described as "great," and the restrooms and showers were consistently "always clean," both essential for a comfortable stay.
The sense of community was also a significant positive aspect in the past, with the reviewer noting, "Great Community, and great neighbor's too." This social element can greatly enhance the living experience in an RV park, especially for longer-term residents.
The "NEW Management, Tom & Connie," as they were referred to a year ago, received high praise for doing "an excellent job," with the positive changes being evident. At that time, "Internet is awesome to have and all my favorite channels make my day!!" This directly contradicts the more recent complaint about unreliable internet and the lack of cable, indicating a significant decline in these services under the current new ownership and management (different from Tom & Connie).
Considering the totality of the information, Eagle Valley RV Park presents a situation of significant change and potential decline in service quality. While it was once regarded as a nice, affordable, and friendly place with good amenities and management, recent feedback suggests a deterioration in these aspects.
For local users searching for "RV parks near me" in Oakland, OR, Eagle Valley RV Park warrants careful consideration. The potential benefits, based on older reviews, included:
- Affordability: Previously mentioned as an affordable option.
- Friendly People: Past guests found the community and management to be friendly (under previous ownership).
- Pet-Friendly: An "awesome place" for dogs to play was noted.
- Laundry Facilities: Described as great and convenient.
- Clean Restrooms and Showers: Consistently maintained cleanliness in the past.
- Beautiful Landscaping: Attention to detail with flowers and overall aesthetics was mentioned previously.
- Great Community: A positive social environment was noted by a long-term resident.
- Good Internet and Cable: Services that were once reliable and appreciated.
However, the recent negative feedback raises serious concerns about the current state of the park:
- Lack of On-Site Management: The park manager reportedly does not communicate with residents, and there are no office hours.
- Unreliable or Non-Existent Internet and Cable: Services that were once good are now problematic.
- Potential Decline in Value: Suggestions that other parks in the area offer more for less money.
Given the stark contrast between the older positive reviews and the recent negative update, local users are strongly advised to exercise caution and seek current information before making a decision to stay at Eagle Valley RV Park. It would be prudent to contact the park directly at (541) 290-9120 or +1 541-290-9120 to inquire about the current management situation, office hours, the reliability of internet and cable services, and any other concerns raised in the recent reviews. Additionally, it would be wise to compare Eagle Valley RV Park with other "RV parks near me" in the Oakland, OR area to ensure you are getting the best value and services for your money. The recommendation from a recent visitor to "keep on going" and explore other options should be taken seriously.

Jun 07, 2018 · Marilyn HoltNew ownership doesn’t know how to run this park. Contracts include services which the management/ownership didn’t provide or pay for (garbage service locked out for residents). Used to be a great place to stay and a tight knit community. The community is still fantastic, just a change of ownership has ruined the place. Stay away
Mar 08, 2024 · Jesse MarcellinSmall nice community of people. Some are travelers but most live there... I lived there for 12 years. I loved the park and the community. so many people care in the 33 (I think) spaces there are. The overnight sights are pretty much a thing of the past. A neighborhood. There are a few, (3) that I know of that love to start Drama or pursue it by drilling others about things that are none of their business or have the mindset they are smarter and use it to try and manipulate others, so be aware. I moved out due to this kind of nonsense as of September 1st 2023. The park was recently sold and there is some concern in the park now as to what the new owners will or wont change... Including rent prices. I wish the resadents of the park the best.. That brings a thought to my mind. a word in the Bible... (whats done in the dark, will be brought to the light}. You better get your acts together you 3. cause Gods word is real.
Mar 11, 2024 · Dan CleggNew owners are working to shape the place up. Beware the earwig infestation. I've been in the NW all my life and never seen it that bad. Wouldn't stay long term, a week was enough to have the buggers everywhere inside our new RV. Net use has limitations and isn't allowed 24hrs but it is super fast. Mostly a monthly rental place catering to disabled and those on tight incomes.
