Riverwalk RV Park on the Yadkin River Introduce
Are you searching for "RV Parks Near Me" that offer a scenic riverside setting and a range of activities? Riverwalk RV Park on the Yadkin River, located at 315 Riverwalk Trl, Jonesville, NC 28642, USA, presents itself as a destination with potential for an enjoyable stay. The park's location along the Yadkin River suggests a natural environment that could be appealing to those seeking a getaway with waterfront access.
Initial positive feedback from a visitor highlights some of the appealing aspects of Riverwalk RV Park. Upon arrival, this guest noted a "nice welcoming committee," suggesting a friendly and hospitable initial impression. The park seems to foster a sense of community, as evidenced by the orchestrated Kentucky Derby party featuring a bartender, two food trucks, and games. This indicates that the park may organize social events for its guests, creating opportunities for interaction and entertainment. For those looking for "RV Parks Near Me" with a social element, this could be a significant draw.
For outdoor enthusiasts, particularly cyclists, Riverwalk RV Park appears to offer notable features. The same positive review mentions the enjoyment of "paths / greenways and mountain bike trails." This suggests that the park is well-situated for those who like to explore the area on two wheels, with both leisurely paths and more challenging mountain bike trails potentially accessible from or near the park. This amenity could be a strong selling point for local users who are avid cyclists and are searching for "RV Parks Near Me" that cater to their interests.
The staff at Riverwalk RV Park also received positive comments in the initial review, described as "all very nice and helpful," with some even being "a little funny," suggesting a friendly and approachable team. Positive interactions with staff can greatly enhance the overall camping experience, making guests feel welcome and supported during their stay.
The mention of a planned return visit for a "Jimmy Buffett" event in November indicates that the park may host or be a convenient location for attending specific events, potentially drawing a particular clientele. This suggests that Riverwalk RV Park might have a calendar of activities or be situated near venues that host such events, which could be of interest to local users looking for "RV Parks Near Me" that align with their entertainment preferences.
However, it's crucial to consider more recent feedback, which presents a contrasting perspective. One guest, who had previously enjoyed a stay, reported a negative experience during a subsequent visit. This review highlights a situation involving pet policies and communication with the park management. The guest, who is handicapped, recounted an incident where they were approached by the "new 'guest service manager'" regarding their dog being off-leash at a deserted beach area, a practice they stated was previously permitted by the owner. This interaction led to the guest feeling "unwelcome" and ultimately leaving a day early.
This negative review raises concerns about the consistent enforcement of park rules and the communication between staff and guests. The guest expressed surprise at receiving a "threatening email" alleging sarcasm, disrespect, and multiple complaints about their dog being off-leash, claims they dispute. This suggests potential issues with conflict resolution and guest relations management at the park.
The reviewer also mentioned a perceived inconsistency in rule enforcement, stating that the previous owner had allowed the specific behavior in the past. This lack of continuity in policy or communication of changes could lead to confusion and frustration for returning guests. The suggestion to provide seating in the pet area for handicapped individuals highlights a potential area for improvement in accessibility and guest consideration.
The strong concluding statement from this reviewer – "We will not return to or recommend RW in the future" – underscores the significant negative impact of this experience on their perception of the park. This feedback should be taken into account by local users considering Riverwalk RV Park as one of their options for "RV Parks Near Me."
Considering both the positive and negative feedback, Riverwalk RV Park on the Yadkin River appears to be a location with potential for an enjoyable stay, particularly for cyclists and those interested in social events. The riverside location and friendly initial welcome are definite positives. However, potential guests should be aware of the reported issues regarding rule enforcement, communication with management, and consistency in policies. It would be prudent for prospective visitors to inquire about the current pet policies and any other rules that might be relevant to their stay, especially if they have specific needs or expectations based on past experiences or information.
While the initial review suggests a vibrant and welcoming atmosphere with organized events and outdoor activities, the more recent feedback indicates potential inconsistencies in management practices and communication that could impact the guest experience negatively. Local users searching for "RV Parks Near Me" should weigh these contrasting perspectives when making their decision. Contacting the park directly at (833) 788-2229 or +1 833-788-2229 to inquire about current policies, amenities, and any upcoming events might be a helpful step in making an informed choice.
In conclusion, Riverwalk RV Park on the Yadkin River offers a potentially attractive setting with riverside access, cycling trails, and a history of hosting social events. However, recent feedback highlights concerns regarding rule enforcement and guest communication that prospective visitors should consider. It is recommended that local users explore further and perhaps directly engage with the park management to gain a comprehensive understanding of the current environment, services, and policies before making a reservation.

Riverwalk RV Park on the Yadkin River Reviews
Before we came i saw all the nice reviews. It was evident the moment we arrived. A nice welcoming committee and then they orchestrated a Kentucky derby party with bartender and two food trucks and games. As a cyclist I really enjoyed the paths / greenways and mountain bike trails. The staff are all very nice and helpful. Some a little funny. Thank you we will be back in November for jimmy buffet.
May 04, 2025 · Mike FieldsUpdate; as I previously stated, we will not return. There is no reason to lie about what we were told or infer that we lied....to what end would we do that? Your email said nothing about not returning( I still have that if you need to reread what you sent.) That was our decision not to return. Again, that is just more lies. You've already lost our business. We recently stayed at RW at the beginning of April. Just my husband and I and the dog. We have been to this campground before without incident. On our visit last year, Marcia told us that if no one was at Barefoot beach we could play with the dog there as I am handicapped and cannot walk on the uneven terrain with no where to sit in the "dog area". So on this trip we did take our dog to the deserted beach to swim as it was not an issue last time. The new "guest service manager" approached us asking if we had a leash which of course we did. When she said that the dog needed to be on a leash, I did explain that she was swimming, again(no children or others present) except for the "karen" across the pond filming us. We threw her ball one more time and left the beach area. No unpleasant comments were made, no arguing, we just went back to our campsite. Imagine my surprise getting a threatening email regarding being sarcastic and disrespectful to the guest service woman (Adrienne I believe). And the lies about several complaints regarding my dog being off leash. The only time she was off leash was while swimming in the pond. While we know we broke a rule, a rule we were told by the owner was OK last time, we were in NO WAY disrespectful to any of the staff at RW. We were made to feel unwelcome so we left a day early. I know that many love this place, however after this experience we believe that Marcia has her favorites that she prefers to rent to, and before she leaves a 5 paragraph response about the "rules" the "insurance" and whatever else she deems worthy as justification for the application of those rules, she needs to remember it wasn't a rule she chose to enforce on our last visit and perhaps Adrienne exaggerated her experience with us and since many RVers are older and have mobility issues, offering a chair in the pet area so handicapped people can utilize that ammenity might not be a bad idea. There are so many beautiful campgrounds to choose from. We feel that there are far better options and places that would appreciate our business. We will not return to or recommend RW in the future.
Apr 16, 2025 · Cyndi ClevengerWe left early. Liars from the top down. Not the dog friendly place that is advertised. The dog park is a half mile away, not even on their property. The only thing for a dog is one small corner of a roped off pond. While my dog was swimming, they said she needed to be leashed at all times. If I were mobility challenged I would have to drag my dog on a leash while I carried a chair to a place that the ground is too uneven to put a chair. I understand the rules and the reasons for them, but not stepping on the grass or letting my dog swim in an empty pond on the other side of the rope in an area where my wife can sit because it might offend someone 100 yards away or a perceived insurance risk is ridiculous. Your rope across the pond does not stop a dog from going where it wants to go, alleviating you from insurance responsibility. We certainly didn't need a threatening email full of lies. With the amount of empty sites you have Monday-Thursday, perhaps you should be more cognizant about chasing away paying clientele. I believe this place is more interested in running their little patch of dirt with lies and deception. You don't have to worry about banning someone who leaves early and wouldn't return.
Apr 27, 2025 · randy clevengerFirst time here. Stopped by for 3 nights on our way home from Florida. Stay couldn’t have been any better. The owners and staff are top notch. Nice level lots with full hookup. Lots of entertainment on Saturday with live music and much more fun. Very close to many wineries in the area.Thank youRay & Blanche
Mar 23, 2025 · Ray FanninJust spent 3 nights at Riverwalk RV Park and it was wonderful. It was our first time there and we were so impressed with the excellent communication during the entire process from the time we booked to our actual stay. It was so nice to be greeted by friendly faces including the owners upon our arrival. The welcome gift bag was full of information and even had treats for our sweet dog in there. The lot was level, easy to get into, had a picnic table and fire pit. The place was very clean and well kept. The entertainment was spectacular! Even though it was New Years Eve, the campground was very quiet. I loved seeing all the dogs being walked and the children riding bikes! The trail to the dog park was a bonus. We will be back!!!!Ronda Green and Keith Trexler
