Sabal Palm RV Resort Introduce
If you are searching for "RV parks near me" in the Palmdale, Florida region, Sabal Palm RV Resort, located at 1947 Main Ave, Palmdale, FL 33944, USA, presents itself as a destination offering a mix of leisurely relaxation and organized activities. To provide a balanced and objective introduction, we will consider the experiences shared by different reviewers alongside general expectations for an RV resort.
One reviewer describes Sabal Palm RV Resort as "very relaxing" for those seeking a peaceful stay. However, they also highlight a significant aspect of the resort: the abundance of planned activities for those who prefer a more engaged experience. These activities include water aerobics in the mornings, Pétanque several nights a week, and bingo twice a week. For those who enjoy lawn games, Corn Hole is also available. Beyond these, the resort offers potlucks, spaghetti dinners, and dances, fostering a sense of community and social interaction among guests. Recreational opportunities extend to golfing and a mini-putt course, providing options for outdoor enjoyment within the park. The reviewer emphasizes the spaciousness of the sites and the presence of numerous trees and ponds throughout the well-laid-out park, suggesting a pleasant and natural environment. A unique and memorable feature mentioned is an "ice cream train" that travels around the park, offering a delightful treat and a leisurely ride.
In stark contrast, another reviewer who reportedly spent five years at Sabal Palm RV Resort offers a significantly negative assessment. While acknowledging having met "some great people" during their stay, their experience with the management is described as "awful hillbillies who don't care about the park only a pay Check." This reviewer claims that the park has become "so run down," citing issues such as "bad water poor septic road are dangerous ect." These are serious allegations that raise concerns about the basic infrastructure and safety of the resort.
Further criticisms from this reviewer include the assertion that most activities are organized and run by the residents themselves, with the park allegedly having "no activity fund" and relying on 50/50 raffles for funding. This contradicts the impression of a resort-driven activity program presented in the first review. Additionally, the second reviewer claims that "they evict people for asking questions" and that "at least 15 people have left this year due to poor management and lack of up keep." They also state that the park management "don't hesitate to up there prices every year and do little" in terms of maintenance and improvements.
Considering these contrasting viewpoints, it is evident that experiences at Sabal Palm RV Resort can vary considerably. The first review paints a picture of a well-organized and amenity-rich park with a strong sense of community and a relaxing environment. The second review, however, presents serious concerns about the management's attitude, the park's upkeep, infrastructure issues, and the overall living environment.
Based on the information provided, we can attempt to compile a list of potential features and services at Sabal Palm RV Resort, keeping in mind the conflicting accounts:
- Spacious RV Sites: One reviewer explicitly mentions spacious sites.
- Trees and Ponds: A natural and potentially scenic environment is suggested by the presence of many trees and ponds.
- Organized Activities: Water aerobics, Pétanque, bingo, Corn Hole, potlucks, spaghetti dinners, and dances are mentioned, although the extent of park involvement in organizing and funding these is disputed.
- Recreational Facilities: Golfing and a mini-putt course are available.
- Ice Cream Train: A unique amenity offering ice cream and rides within the park.
- Community Atmosphere: Both reviews mention interactions with other people, although one highlights positive friendships while the other suggests a negative management influence on the community.
- Potential Infrastructure Issues: The second review raises concerns about bad water, poor septic systems, and dangerous roads, which are critical aspects to consider.

Palmdale, Florida, is located in the central part of the state, in Glades County. It offers a more rural setting compared to coastal areas. The proximity to natural areas and potentially a quieter lifestyle might appeal to some RVers and long-term residents. However, the internal conditions and management of Sabal Palm RV Resort appear to be significant factors that require careful consideration.
In conclusion, Sabal Palm RV Resort in Palmdale, FL, offers a mix of potentially relaxing surroundings and a range of activities that could appeal to those seeking an engaging RV park experience. However, serious concerns have been raised by a former long-term resident regarding the management, upkeep of the park's infrastructure, and the overall living environment. Prospective visitors and residents are strongly advised to contact the resort directly to seek clarification on these issues and to gather current information to make an informed decision about whether Sabal Palm RV Resort meets their needs and expectations for an "RV park near me." The contrasting reviews highlight the importance of thorough research and direct communication with the resort management before committing to a stay or long-term residency.

Sabal Palm RV Resort Reviews
This is a very relaxing RV park if you just want to relax. However if you can’t sit still, you can join in the many activities planned. From water aerobics in the mornings, to Pétanque several nights a week. How about two nights a week of bingo. Then there is Corn Hole if that’s your preference. Want more? Pot lucks, spaghetti dinners, dances. There is golfing and a mini putt course. All spread out in a well set up park. Sites are spacious, lots of trees throughout. Ponds. You would have to come here to enjoy it all. Oh and before I forget… there is an ice cream train. Yep a train that goes around the park you can grab an ice cream and take ride.

Apr 04, 2025 · Laura EhrFor many years we have made Sabal Palm RV Resort our winter home. The sites are generously sized and the common areas are clean and well maintained. It's central location protects it from hurricanes, yet it is only a short drive to either coast and the beaches. Shopping is conveniently close. What really draws us back, however, is the sense of community that the Resort fosters, thanks to the kind of people it attracts.
Dec 14, 2024 · Denise RichardsLast review is not telling the truth. We stayed there 5 years never felt comfortable management constantly yells and curses at you they do not know how to manage should definitely be fired. There's a couple of Canadians that work there that steel gas and food and then blame everybody else .they cook food and then serve leftover 3 or 4 times someone is going to get sick. Just this year alone they ran 12 full time customers off don't think owner knows what is going on.
Mar 30, 2025 · Robert HendricksThis is our 4th year in the park. It's gone from a beautiful family like park to a now decrepit, poorly managed, unorganized park owned by professionals who couldn't care less about it's outcome as long as the money is coming in! The rent keeps going up every year despite the lack of maintenance to roads, landscaping, water quality, sewage problems to name a few! Park manager refuses to mow the "want-to-be" golf course so a few golfers in the park are paying out of their own pockets to have a resident who owns a landscaping company to mow!!! Don't even bother trying to contact the owners! You can only speak to a secretary who will "relay your message" only to quiet you!!!!
