This introduction will cover aspects such as the environment, potential services, features, and some points to consider based on user reviews.
Environment and Location:
Nestled in Athens, Ohio, Sandstone Terrace benefits from its location in a region known for its natural beauty. The address, 4239 Vore Ridge Rd, suggests a setting that may offer a degree of tranquility, being slightly outside the immediate bustle of the town center. For those searching for 'RV parks near me' with a preference for a potentially quieter environment, the location of Sandstone Terrace could be appealing. Athens itself is a vibrant college town with cultural attractions, outdoor recreational opportunities, and local amenities, making Sandstone Terrace a potentially convenient base for exploring the area.
Services and Features:
While specific details regarding the amenities and services offered by Sandstone Terrace are not explicitly provided in the given information, typical mobile home parks and RV parks often include features such as:
- Utility hookups for mobile homes and RVs (e.g., water, electricity, sewage).
- Road access within the park.
- Potentially, common areas or green spaces.
- Management services.
For individuals looking at 'RV parks near me', the availability and reliability of utility hookups are crucial. Similarly, for those considering long-term residency in mobile homes, the overall maintenance and management of the park are important factors.
Important Considerations Based on Resident Reviews:
It is essential to consider the feedback shared by current and former residents to gain a balanced understanding of life at Sandstone Terrace. The provided reviews highlight some significant concerns that prospective residents should be aware of:
One resident mentioned experiencing high electricity bills, attributing this to the park being serviced by Buckeye Rural Electric while the area across the street uses AEP. They expressed frustration over the lack of options regarding the electricity provider. This is a critical point for anyone considering moving to Sandstone Terrace, as utility costs can significantly impact the overall cost of living.
Another review described negative experiences related to park management, particularly concerning the handling of issues affecting residents' trailers. The reviewer cited a lack of responsiveness from the corporate office and instances of poor communication, leading to a trailer becoming irreparable. This feedback raises concerns about the level of support and maintenance provided to residents.
These reviews suggest that while Sandstone Terrace is geographically located within the Athens area, offering potential access to local amenities and the natural environment, there are significant operational and management issues that prospective residents should carefully consider. When comparing 'RV parks near me' or evaluating mobile home living options, it is always advisable to weigh both the location and the quality of management and services.
Promotional Information:
Based purely on the provided information, it is challenging to offer specific promotional details. Typically, a mobile home or RV park might promote aspects such as:
- Affordable living options.
- A sense of community.
- Proximity to local attractions or natural areas.
- Specific amenities offered (e.g., laundry facilities, playgrounds, pet-friendly policies).
However, in the case of Sandstone Terrace, the resident reviews suggest that prospective users should prioritize investigating the concerns raised regarding utility costs and management responsiveness before being swayed by general promotional claims.
Conclusion for Local Users Seeking 'RV Parks Near Me':
Sandstone Terrace is located in Athens, Ohio, offering a potentially convenient location for those seeking 'RV parks near me' or mobile home living within the area. The natural surroundings of Athens could be appealing to those who enjoy a blend of community living and access to nature. However, the feedback from current and former residents points to important issues regarding high electricity costs due to the utility provider and concerns about the responsiveness and support from the management. If you are considering Sandstone Terrace, it is strongly recommended that you conduct thorough due diligence, including speaking with current residents and inquiring specifically about the electricity situation and the park's management policies and responsiveness to resident needs. While the location might be desirable, these operational aspects appear to be significant factors to consider in your decision-making process when looking at 'RV parks near me' or mobile home communities.
For those actively searching for 'RV parks near me' in the Athens, OH area, it would be prudent to compare Sandstone Terrace with other options available, taking into account not only the location and advertised amenities but also the experiences shared by other individuals who have lived or stayed there. This comprehensive approach will help you make an informed decision that best suits your needs and preferences.

Sandstone Terrace Reviews
DO NOT MOVE HERE... Well, unless you want to pay hundreds of dollars for electric every month. Buckeye rural electric is threw out the entire place, but across the street is AEP. AND THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NOTHING YOU CAN DO!! Got the power shut off because was short $50 and had to wait an hr to get it.. cost over $1000 to get it turned back on and a trip to Jackson.. paid more for the electric bill than rent and lived there for 10 yrs.. might as well had a house that was 1000 a month..
Jun 20, 2023 · Heather ArmstrongWorst place to live if something happens to your trailer. Corporate office is full of excuses and have ignored our trailer to the point of it's not repairable anymore. Never thought it would go from bad ownership to worse unacceptable treatment. The problem is when you need help you get a good run around and having to call 52 time's for who ever is answering the phone to quit hanging up and talk.
Jan 12, 2021 · Tyler LippertPoor communication. They sell used mobile homes for jacked up prices. They set appointments for people to inspect the homes and then do not show up. It is very difficult to get a return phone call and discussing basic contracts and terms just does not seem to be an option. They charge $30 for a background check, which is reasonable,. However, the condition of half of the trailer park is pretty bad.
Jul 20, 2020 · Joan DavisI would not move in this trailer court bc the electric company is screwing people We moved in a little over a year ago and our electric bill was running around $900.00 to $1200.00 a month it's Buckeye rural electric and we wasn't the only ones who was having a very high bill. So if anyone wants to talk to me about anything please don't hesitate to contact me.
