Sandy Point RV Park Introduce
For local residents of Cleveland, Oklahoma, and those exploring the Keystone Lake area while searching for "RV parks near me," Sandy Point RV Park, located at 950 S Cimarron Vly Rd, Cleveland, OK 74020, USA, presents a small and quiet option with significantly contrasting reviews regarding its management and infrastructure. This introduction aims to provide local users with an objective overview of Sandy Point RV Park based on the available customer feedback, highlighting both the positive aspects mentioned by one reviewer and the serious concerns raised by another, to enable a well-informed decision.
One guest described Sandy Point RV Park as a "Small quiet very nice little park!" emphasizing its intimate size and the tranquility of the environment. This reviewer also noted the park's welcoming attitude towards pets, stating it is "Dog friendly and all of them are friendly," suggesting a community where pet owners and their animals are likely to feel comfortable. Furthermore, they observed that many of the residents are long-term occupants who work during the day, resulting in "very quiet in the evenings" while still maintaining a social atmosphere among the residents. This could be particularly appealing to local users seeking a peaceful setting, especially for extended stays.
The positive review also highlighted the physical attributes of the RV sites, mentioning "concrete pads with a concrete patio," which are generally considered premium features offering stability, cleanliness, and a dedicated outdoor space. The reviewer reiterated the exceptional quiet and peacefulness of the park, even during holiday weekends despite its proximity to Keystone Lake, indicating a potentially serene environment year-round. This could be a major draw for local residents looking for a peaceful retreat close to recreational amenities.
This positive account further suggested that Sandy Point RV Park is a "good place to launch from" for full-time RV living and recommended it, especially for those seeking a long-term location, describing it as "a good deal." The reviewer acknowledged the absence of extra amenities such as laundry facilities or showers/restrooms but indicated that the affordable price compensated for this, making it a worthwhile option for those prioritizing a quiet and stable place to reside. They also commended the owners for their care of the guests and the park, portraying a positive image of the management.
However, a starkly contrasting review presents a significantly negative experience at Sandy Point RV Park. This reviewer described the owners as "very rude and unprofessional" and reported severe and recurring issues with the water supply, stating that "The water was shut off every week due to pipes busting or they were having problems with water pressure." Such frequent and disruptive utility issues would be a major concern for any local user considering a stay, particularly a long-term one, as reliable access to water is essential.
The negative review also raised serious safety and environmental concerns, stating that "The very back of the park was infested with snakes." This poses a potential health and safety risk for residents, especially those with children or pets, and suggests a lack of adequate pest control measures in certain areas of the park. For local users prioritizing a safe and pest-free living environment, this is a critical factor to consider.
Further alarming allegations were made regarding the quality of the water supply, with the negative reviewer recounting an incident where they "found toilet paper or white flakes in our water and asked the owners what it was because we were worried, only to be met with cussing and yelling on the owners side." This description of unprofessional and hostile behavior from the owners in response to a legitimate concern about water quality is deeply troubling and would likely deter many local users from considering a stay at Sandy Point RV Park.
The negative reviewer also highlighted a significant financial risk, mentioning having "paid 3 months in advance," which would have amplified the negative impact of the reported issues and the alleged unprofessionalism of the management. This serves as a strong warning for local users to exercise extreme caution regarding prepayment for extended stays without thorough verification of the park's current conditions and management practices.
Accessibility was another point of criticism in the negative review, with the roads leading into and out of the RV park being described as "terrible." Poor road conditions can cause inconvenience and potential damage to RVs and other vehicles, which is an important practical consideration for local users, especially those with larger or more sensitive vehicles.
The negative reviewer concluded with an unequivocal and strong condemnation of Sandy Point RV Park, stating, "All around, its a bad place. 100% don't recommend." This directly contradicts the positive experience shared by the other reviewer, indicating a potentially significant divergence in guest experiences or a possible decline in the park's conditions and management over time.
Given these diametrically opposed accounts, providing a definitive and objective introduction to Sandy Point RV Park for local users is challenging. The positive review suggests a quiet, pet-friendly, and affordable long-term option with concrete pads and seemingly caring owners, despite the lack of certain amenities. Conversely, the negative review portrays a park plagued by unprofessional management, frequent utility issues, safety concerns related to pests, and poor infrastructure. The absence of additional reviews makes it difficult to determine which of these experiences is more representative of the current state of the park.
Therefore, local users searching for "RV parks near me" in the Cleveland, OK, area are strongly advised to approach Sandy Point RV Park with extreme caution. Thorough personal investigation is crucial before making any decisions. This should include direct contact with the owners using the provided phone number (918) 807-0058 or mobile number +1 918-807-0058 to inquire about the current conditions, amenities (or lack thereof), management policies, and to address the conflicting feedback found online. A physical visit to the park to personally assess the site conditions, infrastructure, and overall environment is highly recommended. If possible, attempting to speak with current residents who are not the individuals who posted the available reviews could offer a broader and more balanced understanding of the current living situation at Sandy Point RV Park.
No specific promotional information is available in the provided reviews. Local users should inquire directly with the management about any potential discounts for long-term stays or other special offers that might be available.
In conclusion, Sandy Point RV Park in Cleveland, OK, presents a highly ambiguous picture based on the limited and conflicting online reviews. While one account suggests a quiet and affordable long-term option with positive aspects, the other details significant and concerning issues related to management, utilities, safety, and infrastructure. Local users searching for "RV parks near me" are strongly urged to conduct thorough personal due diligence and verification before considering a stay at Sandy Point RV Park to ensure it meets their individual needs and expectations and to avoid potential negative experiences.

Sep 01, 2024 · 박채영Great little RV park for longer term stays! The RV sites were nicely spaced out. Very well maintained park. We were there from May thru August of 2024.
Oct 01, 2024 · Ted WilliamsBrandi was super friendly. The park is new and secluded. What we liked best is that the sites are really spacious, it’s quiet, there is a lot of land surrounding the property where you can walk your dog, our kids can “explore”, it’s close to the lake and not too far from the city. We can’t wait to be back and stay there again.
