Seidels RV Park and Campground Introduce
For local users and travelers searching for "RV parks near me" in the Pratt, Kansas area, Seidels RV Park and Campground, located at 30370 NE 30th St, Pratt, KS 67124, USA, presents a mixed picture based on the available customer reviews. You can contact them at (620) 770-3424 or mobile at +1 620-770-3424 to inquire further about their facilities and policies.
One reviewer who stays at many campsites for their job expressed a generally unimpressed sentiment regarding Seidels RV Park. While acknowledging some positive aspects such as "somewhat level" spots and "many trees for shade," this reviewer raised significant concerns about the management and the overall suitability of the park for long-term stays. The presence of ample shade from trees could be a significant advantage, especially during the hot Kansas summers, offering a more comfortable environment for campers and RVers.
However, the negative feedback from this reviewer is quite detailed and warrants careful consideration. A primary concern revolves around the perceived lack of care from the owner, Rose, towards her tenants. Specific issues mentioned include sewer problems that the reviewer and others reportedly had to assist in resolving, as well as water problems where the owner's lawn watering allegedly inconvenienced guests by soaking their chairs and property. These accounts suggest potential issues with the park's infrastructure and the owner's responsiveness to tenant needs.
Another significant drawback highlighted is the presence of "millions of flies and bugs" attributed to the owner's "hobby farm." The proximity of farm animals can indeed lead to increased insect populations, which can be a considerable nuisance for campers and RVers trying to enjoy the outdoors. This is a crucial factor to consider, especially for those planning to spend extended time outside their RVs or tents.
Based on this negative review, the recommendation is not to consider Seidels RV Park for long-term stays, although it might be suitable for a "day or two" visit. This suggests that while the basic infrastructure (level spots, shade) might be adequate for a short stopover, the potential issues with maintenance, water management, and pest control could become more problematic over an extended period.
Furthermore, this reviewer raises concerns about the owner's pet policies, stating that Rose allows her two dogs to "run free and use the bathroom anywhere they want," while expecting guests to clean up after their own pets. This inconsistency in enforcing pet rules could be frustrating for responsible pet owners and might lead to an unpleasant environment in common areas.
In contrast, a second reviewer shared a much more positive experience, stating that they "found Seidels by accident and so happy we did." This suggests that individual experiences at the park can vary significantly. This reviewer praised the owner, Rosie (presumably the same person mentioned in the negative review), for her welcoming greeting and assistance upon arrival, even helping them find a makeshift stabilizer pad for their RV. This positive interaction highlights a potentially friendly and helpful aspect of the management.
This positive review also mentions that the "lawn is well kept" and that there were "2 rockers at our site to use," which the reviewer enjoyed. These details suggest that some attention is paid to the aesthetics and comfort of the campsites. The presence of rockers is a nice touch that adds to the relaxation and enjoyment of the outdoor space.
A unique feature mentioned in the positive review is the presence of goats on the property. The reviewer enjoyed walking up to see them and noted that some of the goats approached the fence to be petted. This hobby farm aspect, while cited as a source of insect problems by the other reviewer, was a positive and engaging experience for this particular guest. This highlights how different individuals can have contrasting perceptions of the same environment.
The positive reviewer expressed a wish to have stayed longer and stated their intention to stay at Seidels again if they are in the area, giving the park a strong recommendation. This positive endorsement suggests that for some visitors, the friendly welcome, well-kept grounds, and unique features like the goats outweigh any potential drawbacks.
Considering these contrasting reviews, it is difficult to form a completely objective picture of Seidels RV Park and Campground. It appears to offer some appealing aspects, such as shaded and relatively level sites, and a potentially friendly owner who can be helpful. However, there are also significant concerns raised about maintenance issues (sewer, water), pest problems potentially stemming from the hobby farm, and inconsistent pet policies.
As an RV park and campground, Seidels likely offers basic amenities such as water and electric hookups at its sites. The mention of sewer problems in one review suggests that some sites may have sewer connections, although this is not explicitly confirmed. The availability of tent camping areas is also implied by the name "Campground." Other common RV park amenities such as restrooms, showers, laundry facilities, or Wi-Fi are not mentioned in the provided reviews, so their presence cannot be confirmed.
Given the limited information, it is impossible to ascertain any specific promotional offers or discounts that Seidels RV Park and Campground might be running. Local users and travelers interested in staying at Seidels should contact them directly at the provided phone numbers to inquire about site availability, pricing, specific amenities, pet policies, and any current specials.
In conclusion, Seidels RV Park and Campground near Pratt, KS, appears to be a location with both positive and negative aspects, as reported by different visitors. The presence of shade and level spots are potential advantages, and some guests have experienced a friendly and helpful owner. However, concerns regarding maintenance issues, pest problems potentially related to the hobby farm, and inconsistent pet policies have also been raised. For those searching for "RV parks near me," Seidels might be worth considering for a short-term visit, especially if shade and a potentially unique environment with goats are appealing. However, potential long-term guests should carefully weigh the reported issues and perhaps seek further clarification from the owner and possibly other recent visitors before making a decision.

Seidels RV Park and Campground Reviews
I was not impressed, we stay at many campsites for my job, yes the spots were somewhat level and it had many trees for shade. Rose doesn’t seem to care about her tenants. We had sewer problems which my girlfriend and a neighbor helped her dig up. We had water problems and rose would like to water her lawn and not seem to care that she is soaking your chairs and property. There are also millions of flies and bugs because of her hobby farm. I would not recommend this place if you plan on being long term, a day or two would be a nice visit. She also lets her two dogs run free and use the bathroom anywhere they want, but you have to clean up after your pets.
Aug 25, 2024 · Christian EngholmWe found Seidels by accident and so happy we did. Rosie greeted us and showed us our camp site.1 of our stabilizer pads fell off while traveling. Rosie helped us find something to use as a pad. After we were all set up, we walked around the park. The lawn is well kept. Had 2 rockers at our site to use (which I did). Walked up to see the goats. Some of the goats walked to the fence to to be petted. I wish we could of stayed longer. If were in the area again we'll only stay at Seidel's. I highly recommend Seidels RV Park.
Sep 03, 2024 · Debra IngramWife and I were tired. Decided to stop at Seidel's. Rosie was there to greet us and showed us our spot. My wife takes alot of pictures. She has posted them on different web sites recommending Seidel's. Rosie is a jewel. She takes pride in the RV park and her animals. Wish we could of stayed longer. Seidel's will be the only place we'll stay at when in the area. Thank you Rosie for being a great host.
Sep 03, 2024 · Dennis IngramWe called Rose about 45 minutes before we arrived and she thankfully had room for us. The site is beautiful, all the hookups were available, and dumping stations. On top of all of that, as other reviews have mentioned, she had a good amount of animals that my kids and I had fun observing/petting and feeding! Rose herself was friendly and helpful. Totally reasonable price too! If we come back through we will absolutely be staying again. Might even go out of our way to do so. Highly recommend!
Jun 23, 2023 · Rachael DWe were stuck - after having trouble with our motor home we needed a place for the night. Rose was there for us and gave us a nice full hook-up pull-thru. She was very kind. She seems extremely busy taking care of everything on her farm. The animals are well taken care of and the facility was maintained. I'd go back there. Thanks Roae. Lorie and Jeff
