Settler's Rest Introduce
Settler's Rest RV Park is situated at 37549 Chancey Rd, Zephyrhills, FL 33541, USA. For inquiries, the provided phone numbers are (813) 782-2003 and +1 813-782-2003. This introduction aims to provide local users and individuals searching within the "RV parks near me" category with an objective overview of Settler's Rest based on the limited publicly available information, which includes recent customer reviews outlining significant concerns.
Based on the available customer feedback, describing the environment of Settler's Rest RV Park in a positive light is challenging. One review explicitly mentions an issue with the park "feeding feral cats and litters," leading to cats jumping on guests' grills and even an attack resulting in rabies shots and substantial medical bills. This suggests a potential problem with the management of wildlife within the park, which could detract from the peaceful enjoyment of the outdoor environment for visitors. The review indicates that while there were initial promises to address the cat situation, management has reportedly "now embraced feeding of the feral cats," implying a worsening or ongoing issue. This situation could be a significant concern for individuals who prefer a clean and controlled environment free from aggressive or intrusive wildlife.
Information regarding specific services offered at Settler's Rest RV Park is limited beyond the presence of management. One review highlights a discrepancy concerning storage for extra trailers. The customer states they were informed via phone that a storage site would be available, but upon arrival, they were denied and had to seek off-site storage at an additional cost. This suggests potential issues with communication and the reliability of information provided by the park. The same review also points out a perceived inconsistency in enforcement of parking rules, noting that a neighbor was allowed to park extra vehicles and a trailer on an empty lot, while the reviewer was required to pay for off-site storage. This raises questions about fairness and consistent application of park policies.
The features of Settler's Rest RV Park, as gleaned from the limited reviews, do not include mentions of typical RV park amenities such as a clubhouse, swimming pool, laundry facilities, or recreational areas. Instead, the focus of the feedback is on negative aspects. The presence of feral cats, as described in one review, could be considered an undesirable feature, potentially leading to sanitation issues and unwanted interactions with wildlife. The apparent lack of adequate storage for extra vehicles or trailers within the park, coupled with inconsistent parking enforcement, could also be seen as a negative feature for RVers who travel with additional equipment. The reviews do not provide any information about positive features or amenities that might enhance the visitor experience.
Given the negative nature of the recent customer reviews, it is difficult to identify any positive promotional information for Settler's Rest RV Park. The serious concerns raised about feral cats, including an attack and associated medical expenses, along with issues regarding storage and inconsistent rule enforcement, would likely deter potential visitors. There is no mention of any special offers, discounts, or unique selling points in the provided information. Any potential promotional efforts by the park would likely need to address and resolve the significant problems highlighted in the customer feedback to regain the trust and interest of prospective guests.
The customer reviews for Settler's Rest RV Park present a concerning picture for potential visitors searching for "RV parks near me" in the Zephyrhills, Florida area. The issues raised regarding feral cats, including aggressive behavior and potential health risks, are significant. The discrepancy in storage availability and parking enforcement also suggests potential inconsistencies in park management and policies. These negative experiences, shared by recent customers, should be carefully considered by anyone contemplating a stay at Settler's Rest. It is advisable for prospective visitors to seek further information and potentially explore alternative RV parks in the vicinity that may offer a more consistent and positive experience.
In conclusion, based on the limited and negative customer reviews available, Settler's Rest RV Park in Zephyrhills, FL, appears to have significant issues related to wildlife management and inconsistent application of park policies. The concerns raised about feral cats and the handling of storage for RVers should be carefully considered by local users and those searching for "RV parks near me." Potential visitors are advised to conduct further research and consider these recent experiences when making their decision about where to stay in the Zephyrhills area. The lack of positive feedback and the specific negative issues highlighted suggest that caution is warranted.

Settler's Rest Reviews
This park is feeding feral cats and litters. I have cats jumping on my grill . I was attacked by one last year and needing rabies shots and my first bill was $22,000. They said they were going to clean up the cat situation up , but management here has now embraced feeding of the feral cats. We are leaving.
Mar 24, 2025 · Lynn HazletJust curious - the neighbor across from us has a truck , a car ( suv with a temp tag that was good until 11-8-24) with a trailer hooked to it and it's sitting in the empty lot next to their site, we were told via phone convo that we would have a storage site for our extra trailer , got here and NO we did not get a storage spot we had to go a couple miles down the road to another camp ground and pay $50 a month for a spot in their storage area . So why does the neighbor get to park their extra vehicles / trailers where they are ???
Dec 29, 2024 · Tara AngelDonna and Kim run a top-notch park. This is the nicest Sun Community I've lived in. Very friendly welcoming park. All the staff here is very nice and friendly. They love dogs. Luckily for me, I have a Beagle, and loves jumping in golf carts and people making a big fuss over him. He's a total ham. So glad I moved here. This feels like a community. What I was looking for. Donna thanks for accommodating my quick closing.
Feb 28, 2024 · Debbie SanbornI signed a one year lease at Settler’s Rest to live in one of the park models for $1200/mo. We were informed about 90 days or so that our lease would not be renewed due to the unit going up for sale. If we wanted to continue renting would have to pay the seasonal rates which were $1,564/mo + elec/cable May to September, $1,817/mo + elec/cable October to December (but most likely higher as those were last season’s rates), and finally $2,652/mo + elec/cable January to March ( again at last season’s rates but will be more for next season). I am only one of many who have recently been faced with the 225% increase in this park. The neighbors face(d) the same fate. To add insult to injury this park is now in default on our lease for not returning the measly $500 security deposit within the legal limit of 2 weeks we’re now at 4 weeks. I won’t even begin to explain how bad the maintenance and lawn care are in this park.
Jul 15, 2024 · Don’t Mind MeIn February of 2023 we visited some friends of ours that were staying here. My wife who is ill loved it and wanted us to get a RV and park it there! We are from Ohio! Well our friends said if we bought one they would tow it, so we did! Well we like it here so much we traded that one in for a new one, and plan on staying here a lot, great place and people.
