Sherwood Village Property Owners Association Introduce
While your search might be under the category "RV parks near me," the following information pertains to Sherwood Village Property Owners Association, located at 619 Churchill Way, Irving, TX 75060, USA. Mobile home communities can sometimes offer long-term RV living arrangements, making this information potentially relevant for those seeking extended stays in the Irving area. You can contact Sherwood Village Property Owners Association at (972) 790-7791 or via mobile at +1 972-790-7791 for inquiries. Based on available customer reviews, Sherwood Village presents a community with a long history, a mix of property ages, spacious lots with mature trees, and a generally quiet atmosphere, though there are some considerations regarding management and community standards.
One long-term resident, who moved to Sherwood Village after living in their mother's house there for over 30 years, provides a historical perspective on the community. They noted that "it used to be very nice here but thru the years it has changed management and things are not so great now." This suggests that while the community may have once had a different character, recent changes in management may have impacted the overall experience. This historical context is important for understanding the current state of Sherwood Village.
Despite the perceived decline in management quality, the resident highlights some enduring positive aspects of the properties themselves. They mention that "The properties are very nice, some older some newer models have arrived." This indicates a diverse range of homes within the community, with both established and more recent constructions. This variety might appeal to different preferences and potentially offer a range of price points, although specific details on property ownership or rental options are not provided in the reviews.
A significant environmental feature of Sherwood Village is the presence of mature trees. The resident describes having "a big lot with lots of beautiful trees that provide plenty of shade in summer." This is a considerable benefit, especially in the Texas climate, offering natural cooling and a pleasant outdoor environment. However, they also note the seasonal aspect of this feature, mentioning "lots of leaves to rake and bag up come fall," indicating a responsibility for lot maintenance that residents should be prepared for.
In terms of the community atmosphere, the long-term resident characterizes it as "Mostly quiet and friendly folks here." This suggests that Sherwood Village generally offers a peaceful living environment with a neighborly community spirit. A quiet setting can be particularly appealing to those seeking a tranquil residential area.
However, another reviewer raises an interesting point about the nature of Sherwood Village, stating that a fellow associate "was approached and was told that this place was a homeowners association." This is a crucial piece of information, as a homeowners association (HOA) typically has specific rules and regulations that residents must adhere to. The reviewer expresses uncertainty about this classification, "I'm not really sure how that's possible considering you have to follow strict guidelines in a homeowners association and with some of these other trailer homes that are on the property some of them don't look like they're up to the standards." This observation suggests a potential discrepancy between the expected standards of an HOA and the current condition of some properties within Sherwood Village.
The same reviewer also comments on the staff, noting that "some of the staff are not all that business like. Some seem to put on a facade." This feedback raises concerns about the professionalism and transparency of some of the individuals involved in the management or operation of Sherwood Village. Potential residents might want to assess their interactions with staff to form their own opinions.
Considering the information from these reviews, Sherwood Village Property Owners Association in Irving, TX, appears to be a long-established mobile home community with a mix of housing types and a generally quiet, tree-filled environment. However, potential residents should be aware of the reported changes in management quality over time and the potential inconsistencies in property standards if it is indeed operating as a homeowners association. The comments regarding staff professionalism also warrant consideration.
For individuals searching under "RV parks near me" for long-term options, it is essential to directly inquire with Sherwood Village about their policies on RVs, the availability of suitable lots, and the terms of any agreements. Understanding the structure of the community as a property owners association, including any rules, regulations, and fees associated with residency, will be crucial. Potential residents should also seek clarification on the management practices and the standards expected for properties within the community.
Given the mixed feedback, a visit to Sherwood Village Property Owners Association would be highly recommended for anyone considering living there. This would allow prospective residents to assess the condition of the properties, the overall environment, and to interact with current residents and staff to form a firsthand impression. Asking detailed questions about the homeowners association structure, fees, maintenance responsibilities, and any restrictions would be essential in making an informed decision.
In conclusion, Sherwood Village Property Owners Association offers a mature mobile home community in Irving with the benefits of large, shaded lots and a generally quiet atmosphere. However, potential residents should be mindful of the reported changes in management, the potential inconsistencies in property standards within the context of a possible homeowners association structure, and the comments regarding staff professionalism. Direct inquiry and a site visit are strongly advised for those considering long-term residency, including potential arrangements for RV living, to fully understand the community and its current conditions.

Dec 03, 2022 · Sherrie HowardSome of the places here seem nice and are you know nicely groomed around their living space. Had a occurrence where a fellow associate was approached and was told that this place was a homeowners association. I'm not really sure how that's possible considering you have to follow strict guidelines in a homeowners association and with some of these other trailer homes that are on the property some of them don't look like they're up to the standards. As for the privately owned establishment some of the staff are not all that business like. Some seem to put on a facade.
Apr 13, 2022 · Sam IamI have lived in this park most of my life. The home I live in used to be my grandparents. I have seen many changes over the years. Some good some bad. For the most part, it is a good place to live. I think the management picks and chooses who they want to pick on. And I think the board needs all new people with different values. My grandparents were one of the first mobile homes in this park. And we have been here longer than anyone else, that I know of. You would think that would count for something.....not so sure that it does.
Mar 13, 2018 · Laurie BrainerdThis park has been there a long time it's very well maintained and feels like you're in the country almost. I have lived in this trailer park and I have had many friends throughout the years that have lived here and it's always been a very nice place to either live or visit.
Feb 01, 2022 · Rob GoldsmithThe neighborhood looks very rundown, homes to old to be in the neighborhood, the employees and the ones who are to in force the bylaws have turned the whole place into “a business”. Words from Tommy Kent, who runs the place like his little company, tearing down work already done so he can get the employees to book more expensive work to be done. No one in the front office even cares to make sure the place even looks nice. Read articles from the late 80’s this place was a “Wonderful Community” to live in, now that years of corruption and mismanagement have taken control, this place looks like a rundown trailer park.Had to give a 1 star, not even worth that.
