Shiloh River Resort (private property) Introduce
If you are searching for "RV parks near me" and are intrigued by the prospect of a mobile home park with direct river access in the Modesto, California area, Shiloh River Resort (Private Property), located at 2724 Shiloh River Rd, Modesto, CA 95358, presents a unique option. You can reach them at (209) 538-7702 or via mobile at +1 209-538-7702 for inquiries about residency, availability, and specific details about the property.
Based on the available customer reviews, Shiloh River Resort offers a distinctive environment centered around the Shiloh River. One reviewer, enthusiastic about fishing, shared, "I love catching bass here they are small but it's a nice spot for beginners or families to practice. Also to even catch their first fish. Just use the Carolina rig with a night crawlers cast it by the rocks across the river, hold ur rod and slowly reel it in you will definitely feel bites. They also have 1 table bench so you can enjoy the day." This description highlights a key feature of the property: its direct access to the river, which is appreciated for fishing, particularly by beginners and families. The presence of at least one table bench suggests some provision for enjoying the riverside setting.
The same reviewer also noted the peacefulness of the river, implying a potentially tranquil environment for residents and visitors. The beauty of a riverside location can be a significant draw, offering opportunities for relaxation and enjoying nature.
However, a contrasting and concerning review raises a significant environmental issue. This reviewer expressed "rather disgusted at the amount of trash all over the place down there," detailing a "huge pile of trash mostly in trash bags" near the river access point, as well as scattered "trash, cans and bottles littered all over the place." The reviewer strongly urged people to clean up after themselves, emphasizing the presence of children and wildlife who could be harmed by the litter. This feedback paints a less appealing picture of the current state of the riverside environment, suggesting a potential problem with waste management or visitor behavior.
Given these mixed reviews, prospective residents and visitors should be aware of both the potential benefits and the reported drawbacks of Shiloh River Resort. The direct river access and fishing opportunities, coupled with the peaceful ambiance, could be attractive features. However, the issue of litter and trash along the riverbank is a serious concern that needs to be addressed by the property management and users.
To gain a more comprehensive understanding of Shiloh River Resort, it is essential to contact the management directly and inquire about the following aspects:
- Environment and River Access: While the river access for fishing is noted, inquire about the overall environment of the mobile home park. How is the river area maintained? What are the policies regarding trash disposal and cleanliness along the riverbank? Are there specific areas designated for residents to enjoy the river?
- Fishing and Recreational Activities: Confirm the availability of fishing and any regulations related to it. Are there other recreational activities available on the property or facilitated by the resort, given its name?
- Amenities and Services: As a "resort," what amenities and services are provided for residents? This could include laundry facilities, recreational areas, communal spaces, or specific services related to the river access (e.g., boat launch, fishing docks). The single table bench mentioned in one review suggests that amenities might be limited, but it's important to get a complete picture.
- Cleanliness and Maintenance: Given the serious concerns about trash, inquire about the property's efforts to maintain cleanliness, especially in the river access areas. What are the waste management policies for residents and visitors? Are there regular clean-up initiatives?
- Lot Details and Availability: If you are considering residency, inquire about the size and layout of the mobile home lots. What are the current lot rental fees, and what do they include? Are there any restrictions on the size or age of mobile homes allowed? What is the current availability of lots, and what is the application process for residency?
- Park Rules and Regulations: What are the rules and regulations of Shiloh River Resort, particularly those related to the use of the river area, waste disposal, and maintaining the cleanliness of the property?
- Safety and Security: Inquire about any safety measures in place, especially concerning access to the river.
- Management and Resident Relations: Understand the management's approach to addressing resident concerns and maintaining the property. How responsive are they to issues like the reported trash problem?
Since no promotional information was available in the provided reviews, it is essential to ask the management directly about any current incentives or special offers for new residents.
Shiloh River Resort offers a unique draw with its private river access and fishing opportunities. The peacefulness of the river could be a significant benefit for those seeking a tranquil living environment. However, the reported issue of trash and litter along the river is a serious concern that potential residents and visitors must consider. It highlights the importance of responsible use and effective management of the natural environment within the property.
For those interested in a mobile home park with direct river access for recreation, Shiloh River Resort warrants further investigation. Contacting the management to address the concerns about cleanliness and to learn more about the amenities and policies is crucial. Additionally, if possible, visiting the property to assess the current environmental conditions firsthand would be a prudent step.
In conclusion, Shiloh River Resort (Private Property) in Modesto, CA, offers a riverside living experience with potential for fishing and enjoying nature. While the peaceful location is a positive aspect, the reported issue of trash and litter requires careful consideration. Prospective residents should contact the management for detailed information about the property, its amenities, maintenance practices, and policies regarding the river environment to make an informed decision.

Jun 08, 2024 · Miguel DuarteAs peaceful and beautiful as the river can be I was rather disgusted at the amount of trash all over the place down there. Starting with a huge pile of trash mostly in trash bags as you walk down the alley and it opens up to the river. Trash, cans and bottles littered all over the place. Come on people clean up after yourselves. There are others who use the area with children and there is wildlife that may get injured because you are a careless slob!
Sep 22, 2020 · Deanna TiryWent there to do some fishing and check the area out. The trailer park area is kept up nice. People are proud of their homes there. The river area could be very nice but people leave their trash everywhere and have no decency or common courtesy to clean up after themselves and fill the need to tag everything and ruin the beauty. I would give it 4 and a half stars if it we're cleaned up and manage all the weeds.
Jul 08, 2018 · LindaI wouldnt call it a resort so much as a hole in the wall, blink an you missed, but you didnt miss much as its only a row of about 15 trailer homes and 5th wheels strung together alongside the river right by the river crossing. That being said; Good fishing spot so Ill give it three stars just for the fishing enthusiats who might consider that an ideal vacation so that they might consider this "resort" with zero ammenties. Well besides the obligatory hookups and that random picnic table with a firepit next to it
Jun 26, 2018 · Justin GarciaWe went there for a place to stay on our slow trip back home. My husband is a vet, so he got a 30.00 discount on our room. We pulled in to park, and found a vets only parking space. Even better! Then, we checked out the restaurant and bar and it got even better. Cynthia was an amazing server, didnt try to sell us drinks we didnt want, but did tell us about the amazing food. We ordered a plate of steak nachos and OMG, can I say amazing enough. The chef, Lore, out does herself and the owners should make sure both of those ladies stay. We also had seafood linguine, best we have ever had. If we go through there again, we will stay there .
