Sjolander Mobile Home Park Introduce
For local users seeking information about long-term residential options and searching within the category of "rv parks near me," it is important to differentiate between RV parks, which typically offer temporary accommodations for recreational vehicles, and mobile home parks, which provide a more permanent living arrangement for mobile homes. While the platform category might include listings that are geographically close to RV parks, Sjolander Mobile Home Park, located at 4500 Sjolander Rd, Baytown, TX 77521, USA, is identified as a mobile home park. Therefore, this introduction will focus on providing details relevant to those seeking long-term housing solutions in the Baytown, Texas area, based on the limited information available from online customer reviews.
Sjolander Mobile Home Park is situated on Sjolander Road in Baytown, Texas. Baytown is a city in Harris County, located near the Houston metropolitan area and along the shores of Galveston Bay. This location offers residents access to the amenities and services available in Baytown and the broader region.
The available customer reviews for Sjolander Mobile Home Park present a mixed and concerning picture. One reviewer noted that the "area" was "well maintained" and that there was "no clutter." This suggests that the overall grounds of the mobile home park may be kept tidy and orderly, which can contribute to a more pleasant visual environment for residents.
However, this positive comment regarding the general maintenance of the area is overshadowed by a significantly negative and detailed review from another individual. This reviewer described their experience as "very, very horrible" and accused the business of being "not honest whatsoever," citing "horrible" living conditions. These are serious allegations that prospective residents should carefully consider.
The negative review provided specific examples of what the reviewer considered "unfit living conditions." These included claims that "the floor is falling in," the presence of "termites," an air conditioning unit that was "not blowing out cold" resulting in a very hot living space, and the presence of pests such as "roaches" and "rats." These are significant habitability issues that would understandably cause a resident to seek alternative housing immediately.
Furthermore, the reviewer recounted a frustrating experience regarding their financial interactions with the business. They claimed to have paid over $1200 and, after moving in and discovering the alleged unfit living conditions within two days, decided to move out. They reported contacting the office multiple times to request a refund, even offering to forfeit a portion of their deposit for the brief period they occupied the property. According to the review, these attempts to communicate and resolve the financial matter were unsuccessful, with the reviewer stating they received "no response." This lack of communication and the alleged refusal to address the habitability issues and potential refund are significant concerns for anyone considering residing at Sjolander Mobile Home Park.
The reviewer also mentioned the need to obtain a storage unit to move their belongings, incurring additional expenses due to the allegedly uninhabitable condition of the rented mobile home. This further emphasizes the severity of the issues reported in this particular review.
In contrast to the comment about the well-maintained area, the negative review paints a picture of individual living units potentially suffering from significant neglect and pest infestations. The discrepancy between these two reviews highlights the importance of thorough personal inspection and due diligence for anyone considering living at Sjolander Mobile Home Park.
The first reviewer also mentioned a logistical issue: "each trailer were not numbered so it was hard to find the location we are looking for." This, while less severe than the habitability concerns raised in the other review, could still be an inconvenience for visitors or new residents trying to navigate the park.
Due to the serious nature of the allegations in the negative review, prospective residents are strongly advised to exercise extreme caution and conduct a very thorough inspection of any unit they are considering renting or purchasing within Sjolander Mobile Home Park. This inspection should include a detailed examination of the structural integrity (floors, walls), the functionality of essential systems (AC, plumbing), and a check for any signs of pest infestation (termites, roaches, rats).
Furthermore, it would be prudent to inquire about the park's policies regarding maintenance, repairs, and the process for addressing tenant concerns. Understanding the management's responsiveness and commitment to maintaining habitable living conditions is crucial before entering into any agreement or providing any funds.
Given the starkly contrasting feedback and the serious nature of the negative claims, potential residents should also consider seeking information from other sources, if available. This might include checking for additional online reviews on different platforms or, if possible, speaking with current residents of the park to gain a broader perspective on the living conditions and management practices at Sjolander Mobile Home Park.
In conclusion, the available information regarding Sjolander Mobile Home Park in Baytown, Texas, presents a concerning picture, primarily due to a detailed review alleging severely unfit living conditions and dishonest business practices. While one reviewer noted a well-maintained general area, the specific issues raised about individual units – including structural problems, pest infestations, and a non-functional AC – are significant red flags. Prospective residents are strongly urged to proceed with extreme caution, conduct thorough personal inspections, and seek comprehensive information about the park's management and living conditions before making any decisions regarding residency at Sjolander Mobile Home Park. The lack of contact information in the provided data further underscores the need for in-person investigation.

When renting a mobile home, be sure to check it out several times before you sign anything or before you give out any monies. Renter beware!I strongly suggest don’t deal with this business whatsoever, currently having to get a storage unit to move all my belongings that I just moved in two days ago, The business has my money over $1200 tied up into it and now I’m having to spend more money to get a storage because it’s unfit living conditions, It’s not livable. The floor is falling in. Termites are present, AC not blowing out cold, It’s very hot in there there’s roaches there’s rats, very, very horrible. Have pictures that I will upload at a later time.
