Environment: Tugman State Park Campground is situated in a location that boasts a beautiful lake, which is a significant draw for visitors. One reviewer mentioned, "The lake was beautiful and we wish we got to spend more time there," indicating its visual appeal and recreational potential. The presence of a dock, described as a "great place to walk out on... and look at the lake," further emphasizes the campground's connection to the water and the opportunities for enjoying lakeside views. The overall vibe of the park is described as "fun but not too loud," suggesting a pleasant balance between activity and tranquility. The cleanliness of the park, particularly the yurts, is also highlighted, contributing to a comfortable and enjoyable stay. While the immediate surroundings aren't extensively detailed, the focus on the lake and the positive atmosphere suggests a naturally appealing environment for camping and relaxation.
Services: While the reviews don't provide a comprehensive list of all services, they do offer insights into some aspects. The availability of yurts for accommodation is a notable service, offering a unique camping experience beyond traditional tent camping. The cleanliness of these yurts suggests a commitment to maintaining quality lodging. The mention of a "good parking lot" indicates that the park provides accessible parking for visitors. However, one helpful tip from a reviewer notes that nearby amenities close relatively early (around 9 pm), with most being a 10-20 minute drive away. This suggests that while the park itself may offer certain services, campers should be aware of the limited late-night availability of supplies like ice, propane, and firewood in the immediate vicinity.

The cleanliness of the park and its accommodations is another significant feature appreciated by visitors. The beautiful lake is a major attraction, providing opportunities for scenic enjoyment and potentially water-based activities (though these aren't explicitly detailed in the provided reviews). The friendly vibe of the campground contributes to a welcoming and positive experience for guests. The presence of a dock offers a specific point of interest for enjoying the lake views. Tugman State Park Campground Reviews
We looooooved this park! We stayed in a yurt in the campground. So clean! And we loved the vibe. It was fun but not too loud. It seemed very friendly. The lake was beautiful and we wish we got to spend more time there. We definitely want to go back and spend more time.Just a tip though that everything closes around 9 pm nearby and nearby is like 10-20 minutes away mostly. So we ran out of ice, propane, and firewood and had to wait until morning.
Sep 04, 2024 · Emily VelasquezReally nice park. Good parking lot. Great place to walk out on the dock and look at the lake.
Oct 31, 2024 · Teresa DianeWe stayed in two yurts for 6 nights the past week. Parking is right out front the yurt, so not long to haul your stuff inside. Walk to playground and lake wasn't too far, and we did that many times a day. The bathroom was close and showers just little farther but all very central. The lake has some sandy areas for playing in sand and a logged off shaollow water ares for swimming. There were salamanders in the water.Theirs a trail to walk. Not difficult incline, but it is 3.5 miles out, then 3.5 back if you do the whole thing and 7 miles total potentially. The best veiw point is around mile one. I saw mushrooms and snake and frogs and snails on hike. Some crossing are just boards further you get.We did a short drive to lighthouse and loved to tour and a trip to beach by coosbay another day.Internet was spotty on the phone, but I had cell service. You can't her traffic noise from 101, but I grew up next to freeway so didnt bother me.
Aug 08, 2023 · KatyI love this campground. All of the sides are pretty private and the campground is quiet. There is a free dump station and potable water.
Mar 01, 2025 · Laura HA nice quiet park that is near a few lakes and minutes from Oregon dunes national recreation area. The camp hosts and the park rangers really do a good job.
