Sonrise Palms RV Park Introduce
Looking for "RV parks near me" in the Cocoa, Florida area? Consider Sonrise Palms RV Park, situated at 660 Tucker Ln, Cocoa, FL 32926. This RV park offers a unique blend of a somewhat secluded atmosphere with convenient access to numerous local attractions and amenities. For both overnight travelers and those seeking extended stays, Sonrise Palms presents itself as a potential haven on Florida's Space Coast.
Based on customer reviews, Sonrise Palms RV Park boasts a "nice secluded" environment, which can be a significant draw for those seeking peace and quiet during their travels. Its location is frequently highlighted as a major advantage. The park is conveniently positioned not too far from the beach, allowing easy access to the Atlantic Ocean. Furthermore, it enjoys close proximity to the renowned Kennedy Space Center, making it an ideal base for space enthusiasts looking to explore this iconic landmark. For those interested in fishing, the Indian River Lagoon, known for its exceptional fishing opportunities, is located a short distance to the north, while even closer fishing spots are reportedly "pretty fair."
The park offers practical amenities, including a "nice pool and shower area," which are often highly valued by RV travelers seeking comfort and convenience. The grounds appear to be well-maintained, with one reviewer noting that "grass is kept mowed" and "trash is kept up and dumpster emptied." The cleanliness of the "pool and facilities" is also mentioned positively, indicating an effort to provide a pleasant environment for guests.
However, it's important to consider all aspects of the feedback provided. One reviewer expressed concerns regarding the service, describing some staff interactions as "kinda rude" and giving the impression that employees felt "better than everyone." This individual stated that the service was "not helpful k or worth a shit actually." Despite this significant criticism of the staff, the reviewer still rated the park favorably due to its quiet and somewhat remote nature. This suggests that the ambiance and location of Sonrise Palms may outweigh the negative service experience for some visitors.
In contrast, another reviewer had a highly positive experience with the staff, specifically mentioning "Diane at the office" as "so accommodating" and a "long time resident Tom" as "amazing." This discrepancy in staff experiences suggests that interactions may vary, or perhaps there have been changes in staffing or management. It underscores the importance for potential guests to form their own impressions and seek clarification on service expectations.
The mention of a "central location" by one reviewer further emphasizes the park's advantageous positioning relative to local attractions and potentially essential services. This balance of a secluded feel with accessibility to key areas can be a significant benefit for RV travelers looking to explore the region without being in the midst of heavy tourist congestion.
For local users searching for "RV parks near me," Sonrise Palms RV Park in Cocoa, FL, presents a compelling option with its reported quiet atmosphere, proximity to beaches, the Kennedy Space Center, and fishing opportunities. The presence of a pool and clean facilities adds to its appeal. However, potential guests should be aware of the mixed reviews regarding staff service. While some have had excellent experiences, others have reported negative interactions. It may be beneficial to contact the park directly at (321) 633-4335 or +1 321-633-4335 to inquire about current service standards and any recent changes.
To make an informed decision, prospective guests might consider the following:
- Contacting Sonrise Palms RV Park directly to inquire about their amenities, rates, and any current promotional offers.
- Asking about their policies regarding extended stays versus overnight stays, as the reviews suggest they cater to both.
- Seeking clarification on the typical interactions with staff and whether there have been any recent changes in management or personnel.
- If possible, visiting the park in person to assess the environment, the cleanliness of the facilities, and the general atmosphere.
- Considering the balance between the park's secluded nature and its proximity to attractions based on their individual travel preferences.
In conclusion, Sonrise Palms RV Park offers a potentially attractive option for those searching for "RV parks near me" in the Cocoa, Florida region. Its location provides a gateway to beaches, the Kennedy Space Center, and fishing, coupled with a reportedly quiet and somewhat secluded setting. The presence of a pool and clean facilities are additional positives. However, the conflicting reviews regarding staff service warrant consideration and perhaps direct inquiry. By weighing the reported advantages of location and environment against the potential drawbacks in service, and by conducting their own due diligence, local users can determine if Sonrise Palms RV Park meets their needs for an enjoyable RV stay.

Sonrise Palms RV Park Reviews
Okay so nice secluded place of overnight or even extended stays! Great location, beach isn't too far, the Space Center is right there, and the fishing is out of this world a little ways north in the lagoon but pretty fair anywhere really! Service jant great that's for sure people are kinda rude when they speak as though they are better than everyone! A nice pool and shower area though, I do have to admit that! Overall good place to get some rest or enjoy the whole state all in one place as long as you can keep the employees there off your back you'll be in good shape. I gave the stars even though service wasn't helpful k or worth a shit actually, but because I ts quiet and eemote-ish!
Oct 12, 2024 · Clifton CinamonThe staff here is amazing. Diane at the office is so accomodating and long time resident Tom is amazing. Grass is kept mowed. Trash is kept up and dumpster emptied and pool and facilities clean. Cental location.
Oct 31, 2024 · Jess cooperSo we wanted to stay for a week . They do have full hookups but they told us some are reserved and some sites are damaged from the storm. If some sites are damaged they all should be bad. So they put us in the overflow area. We paid around 600 with no full hookup. I think that's too much for no full hookup .
Oct 25, 2024 · mary eymerWe experienced a lot of road noise but the RV accommodations were fine and close to Kennedy space center.
Feb 02, 2025 · Donna ClendenningWe reserved a site for the month of December here based on Good Sam 9-9-9 rating. We will not be using Good Sam ratings any longer. The staff here were great. The maintenance people and the office people were very friendly and helpful. The reason for the 3 star rating was the almost constant sewer smell from the town treatment station just outside the campground. The smell made it very undesirable to sit out side at all. The campground also advertises as pet friendly. Their idea of pet friendly is to keep your dog on a 6 foot leash at all times. First time without pet on a leash is a one time warning. 2nd time and you are asked to leave the campground and there is no refund. We will not be returning and will not be using Good Sam ratings any longer either. We will use individual reviews like this one to make our choices.
