Sunset Point Introduce
Are you searching for "RV parks near me" that offer a picturesque lakeside experience in the heart of the Texas Hill Country? Sunset Point RV Park, located at 2322 Wirtz Dam Rd, Marble Falls, TX 78654, USA, presents itself as a "great little RV Park" situated right on the shores of the beautiful Lake LBJ. For inquiries and reservations, you can contact them at (830) 798-8199 or +1 830-798-8199. Based on the available customer reviews, Sunset Point RV Park offers some appealing features, particularly its location and cleanliness, but also highlights a significant concern regarding its cancellation policy and customer relations.
The environment of Sunset Point RV Park is undoubtedly one of its primary attractions. Being located "right on Lake LBJ" offers guests direct access to the water, providing opportunities for various lake-related activities. Lake LBJ is a popular destination for boating, fishing, swimming, and simply enjoying the scenic beauty of the Texas Highland Lakes. Staying at Sunset Point would allow RVers to take full advantage of these recreational opportunities right from their campsite. The "great little" description suggests a potentially intimate and less crowded setting compared to larger RV resorts, which might appeal to those seeking a quieter and more relaxed lakeside experience.
One positive review commends the park for its cleanliness, stating that "sites are clean" and "bathrooms are clean." Cleanliness is a crucial aspect for any accommodation, and positive feedback in this area indicates that Sunset Point RV Park takes pride in maintaining its facilities to a good standard. This would contribute to a more comfortable and pleasant stay for guests, providing peace of mind regarding hygiene and sanitation.
The staff at Sunset Point RV Park are also described as "friendly" by one reviewer. Friendly and helpful staff can significantly enhance the overall guest experience, making visitors feel welcome and providing assistance when needed. This positive interaction can contribute to a more enjoyable and stress-free stay, fostering a welcoming atmosphere within the park.
However, it is essential to address the serious concern raised in the other review regarding the park's cancellation policy and customer relations. This reviewer recounts a negative experience where they called to cancel a reservation seven weeks ahead of the scheduled date due to a wife's leukemia diagnosis, a significant and unforeseen circumstance. Despite providing ample notice, the park reportedly refused a refund of $200.00. The reviewer expressed disappointment with this policy and the lack of flexibility or understanding shown by the management, stating it demonstrated "very poor customer relations." They also speculated that the park likely re-rented the spot and profited further from their misfortune.
This negative experience highlights a potentially rigid and unforgiving cancellation policy at Sunset Point RV Park. While businesses are entitled to have cancellation policies, the handling of cancellations, especially those due to serious and unavoidable situations, can significantly impact customer perception and loyalty. The lack of a refund in this case, despite the substantial notice period and the compelling reason for cancellation, suggests a policy that prioritizes financial gain over customer empathy and goodwill.
Prospective guests need to be aware of this potential inflexibility regarding cancellations. It would be prudent to thoroughly inquire about the park's cancellation policy at the time of booking and to understand the terms and conditions fully. It might also be wise to consider travel insurance that covers cancellations due to unforeseen circumstances, although this would be an additional cost for the traveler.
Regarding services and features beyond the location, cleanliness, and staff friendliness mentioned in the positive review, the provided information is limited. We can infer that standard RV park amenities such as water, electricity, and sewer hookups are likely available at the sites, as these are essential for RV stays. However, specific details about the types of sites offered (e.g., pull-through vs. back-in, size limitations), the availability of other amenities (e.g., laundry facilities, Wi-Fi, recreational areas), or any specific features of the park are not provided in the reviews.
To gain a more complete picture of Sunset Point RV Park, potential visitors should inquire about:
- The types and sizes of RV sites available.
- The hookups provided at each site (water, electricity, sewer).
- The availability and cost of Wi-Fi.
- The presence and condition of laundry facilities.
- Any recreational amenities such as a playground, swimming area (beyond the lake), or communal spaces.
- The park's pet policy.
- Any specific rules and regulations for guests.
Currently, there is no mention of any promotional information or special offers for Sunset Point RV Park in the provided reviews. To learn about any discounts for extended stays, seasonal promotions, or other incentives, it is recommended to contact the park directly using the phone numbers provided. They would be the best source for the most current information on pricing and any special deals they might be running.
In conclusion, Sunset Point RV Park offers a potentially appealing location right on Lake LBJ near Marble Falls, Texas, with positive feedback regarding the cleanliness of its sites and bathrooms, as well as the friendliness of its staff. The lakeside setting provides opportunities for water-based recreation and enjoying the natural beauty of the area. However, the negative review highlighting a strict and seemingly inflexible cancellation policy is a significant concern that prospective guests must consider. It underscores the importance of thoroughly understanding the park's policies before making a reservation. While the park may offer a pleasant stay in terms of location and basic amenities, the potential for poor customer relations regarding cancellations should not be overlooked. Therefore, while exploring "RV parks near me" on Lake LBJ, it would be wise to weigh the positive aspects against the potential risks associated with their cancellation policy and to seek complete information directly from the park management before making a booking.

Sunset Point Reviews
Called to cancel 7 weeks ahead of reservation date . Wife diagnosed with leukemia, we can't make it. No refund,$200.00 free in their pocket. I bet they rented the spot again and got more $$. They don't have to worry about me ever reserving with them again. Very poor customer relations
Apr 18, 2025 · Freida WalkerA great little RV Park just to the west of Marble Falls and right on Lake LBJ. Sites are clean, bathrooms are clean, and staff are friendly. Highly recommend if you're looking for a nice place to stay in the area.
Nov 19, 2024 · Bob AllenWe really enjoyed staying here for the past month. We had a nice big site #75 and it was easy to have a dog here except for the sticky weeds. It’s a beautiful location and a very well maintained park.
Oct 21, 2024 · Kathy JoyceThis park is soooo nice! We stayed several years ago and it is amazing to see it is in the same perfect condition. That never happens. Yes they do have a lot of rules, but I like them. Those rules keep this place so nice for those of us willing to follow the rules. Thank you, we will for sure be back!
May 24, 2024 · Bridget BrandtRV area. Bathrooms and sites for RVs was spread more than most RV sites. Beautiful lake view onto lake LBJ.
