Terra Buena Terrace MHC Introduce
Are you searching for "RV parks near me" or considering the option of living in a mobile home park in Hillsboro, Oregon? Terra Buena Terrace MHC, located at 1901 SE Minter Bridge Rd, Hillsboro, OR 97123, USA, presents itself as a residential community. They can be reached by phone at (971) 357-2013 or via mobile at +1 971-357-2013 for inquiries.
When exploring "RV parks near me" that offer long-term residency or considering a mobile home park, location, amenities, community atmosphere, and cost are significant factors. Terra Buena Terrace MHC has received feedback from residents highlighting both its advantages and potential drawbacks.
One long-term resident of approximately eight years emphasizes the excellent location of Terra Buena Terrace MHC. They note its walkability to bus lines, a grocery store, and other shopping options. Furthermore, the convenience of having Home Depot and Lowe's across the street is highlighted as a major benefit for home repair and maintenance needs. This suggests that the park offers a high degree of accessibility to essential services and retail.
In terms of community features, the same reviewer mentions that the MHP (Mobile Home Park) has a clubhouse equipped with a pool and ping pong table. They also point out regular social activities such as game night on Fridays, TV viewing, and other events, indicating an effort to foster a sense of community among residents.
However, this long-term resident also raises significant concerns regarding the cost of living at Terra Buena Terrace MHC. They describe the space rent as "VERY high," especially considering that residents must purchase their mobile homes separately. The reviewer suggests that the cost of space rent alone could be comparable to renting an apartment, although they acknowledge the benefit of having a small private yard that apartment living might not offer.
Another concern raised pertains to the advertised age restrictions of the park. While Terra Buena Terrace MHC is "supposed to be a 55+ senior park," the reviewer notes an apparent increase in younger residents moving in, even mentioning seeing a school bus within the park. This suggests a potential shift in the community's demographics and a possible lack of strict enforcement of the age restriction.
The accuracy of advertised amenities is also questioned, with the reviewer stating that a promised pickle ball court has been advertised for "well over a year" but has not materialized. This discrepancy between advertised and actual amenities could be a point of disappointment for prospective residents.
The financial burden on residents is further elaborated, with the reviewer stating that many long-term residents have been "priced out of the homes they owned by space rent increases." They report that as of mid-2024, the move-in space rent is $1100, which covers only water and electric hookups, as the mobile home itself is an additional purchase. This cost is highlighted as particularly challenging for seniors and disabled individuals on fixed incomes, prompting a call for potential protections for vulnerable citizens.
In contrast to these concerns, another reviewer shares a positive experience regarding a community event. They express gratitude for a potluck event, noting that it was the first such event they had experienced while living in the park. They emphasize the importance of creating a sense of community, especially during holidays that can be difficult and lonely for some, and appreciate the opportunity to connect with and support neighbors within the park. This suggests that while there may be concerns about cost and management, there are also positive aspects related to community building among some residents.
Based on these reviews, Terra Buena Terrace MHC presents a mixed profile for those seeking "RV parks near me" or a mobile home park in Hillsboro, Oregon. Key features and potential benefits include:
- Convenient Location: Excellent walkability to public transportation, grocery stores, and shopping, with easy access to major home improvement retailers.
- Community Amenities: A clubhouse with a pool, ping pong, and organized social activities like Friday game nights.
- Potential for Community Engagement: Positive feedback regarding community events suggests opportunities for social interaction.
- Private Yard Space: A benefit over apartment living, offering a small outdoor area for residents.
However, potential drawbacks and concerns include:
- High Space Rent: The cost of space rent is described as very high, potentially comparable to apartment rent, without including the cost of the mobile home itself.
- Questionable Enforcement of Age Restrictions: The park, advertised as a 55+ senior community, reportedly has an increasing number of younger residents.
- Lack of Promised Amenities: A pickle ball court advertised for over a year has not been implemented.
- Financial Strain on Residents: Concerns about increasing space rent pricing out long-term residents, particularly seniors on fixed incomes.
For individuals considering Terra Buena Terrace MHC as a potential "RV park near me" for long-term residency or as a mobile home park, it is crucial to weigh these factors carefully. The convenient location and community amenities may be attractive, but the high space rent and questions surrounding age restrictions and promised amenities warrant thorough investigation.
Prospective residents should consider taking the following steps:
- Contacting the management directly to inquire about current space rent fees, including any potential discounts for seniors or disabled individuals.
- Seeking clarification on the enforcement of the 55+ age restriction policy.
- Asking for a timeline regarding the promised pickle ball court or any other planned amenities.
- Inquiring about the history of space rent increases and the policies governing future increases.
- Visiting the park in person to assess the community atmosphere and the demographics of the residents.
- If possible, speaking with current residents to gain a broader understanding of their experiences and perspectives on living in Terra Buena Terrace MHC.
As a platform providing information on "RV parks near me" and related residential options, it is important to present an objective view based on the available feedback. The reviews for Terra Buena Terrace MHC highlight both its locational advantages and community features, alongside significant concerns about affordability and the adherence to its stated senior living designation. Potential residents should conduct comprehensive research to determine if this community aligns with their individual needs and financial considerations.

Terra Buena Terrace MHC Reviews
Location is great. Walking distance to bus lines, grocery store & other shopping.Home Depot & Lowe's are just across the street for your home repair needs.MHP has clubhouse with pool & ping pong, game night on Fridays, TV and other activities.Space rent is VERY high, considering you must buy your mobile home above & beyond that cost, could rent an apartment for the cost of space rent, but then wouldn't have the small yard of your own.Supposed to be a 55+ senior park, but there seems to be more & more younger folks moving in. Just saw a school bus in the park the other day.It has been advertised as having a pickle ball court for well over a year, but there isn't one.I've lived here for about 8 years. Many residents have been priced out of the homes they owned by space rent increases. As of mid 2024, move in space rent is at $1100. That is just so you can have water & electric hookups cause you have to buy the mobile on top of that. This cost is for seniors/disabled, on fixed incomes.Seems like there should be some kind of protection in place for our most vulnerable citizens......
Apr 27, 2024 · Linda CarmichaelThis was the first time while living in this park that we have had an event like this. For that I want to say thank you. The potluck was awesome. Holidays can be a hard and lonely time for many people. It is nice to be able to create a sense of community and get to know and support some of our neighbors within the park.
Dec 27, 2023 · Diana PowellThe Holiday Social was very festive, the music was a great touch, the lighting inside was just right. The food that was there was really well thought of from the meats to the veggies and the desert to finish it off. Seeing and meeting a lot of the residents was well received and fun to see everyone having a great time.
Dec 27, 2023 · mark wilcox. If I could give this park 0 Stars I would give it the owner of this park is nuts needing a 750 credit score to get into I go to a high-class mobile home park for senior living facility with that kind of score
