The environment at The Great Escape RV Park & Campground is frequently described as "pretty" and offering a relaxing atmosphere. Guests appreciate the "tree-lined" and "shady" campsites, which provide a welcome respite from the sun, especially during warmer months. The presence of "grassy areas between sites" adds to the aesthetic appeal and offers a more natural and spacious feel compared to parks with more tightly packed gravel lots. For ease of parking, the sites feature "concrete strips to park truck and trailer," providing a stable and defined area for your vehicles. While one reviewer noted that their site was "level to 1 row of short blocks," this suggests that the park generally offers reasonably level sites, minimizing the need for extensive adjustments. The overall impression is of a well-maintained park that prioritizes a comfortable and visually appealing environment for its guests.
In terms of services and features, The Great Escape RV Park & Campground offers several notable conveniences. On-site laundry facilities are available, allowing guests to easily take care of their laundry needs during their stay, which is particularly beneficial for longer trips. One exceptional service highlighted by a reviewer was the availability of propane refill. When a guest ran out of propane overnight, the owner personally drove to pick up the tanks, had them filled, and returned them to the camper at a "VERY reasonable price." This level of personalized and helpful service is a significant asset and demonstrates a commitment to customer satisfaction. The park also features a seasonal swimming pool, providing a refreshing amenity during warmer months for guests to relax and cool off. Shower facilities are also available, offering a convenient alternative to RV showers. While a bar & grill is mentioned, it appears to operate seasonally, so its availability may vary depending on the time of year. The park offers "full hookups" at its sites, ensuring that guests have access to essential utilities such as electricity, water, and sewer connections. For those traveling with larger rigs, the park boasts "long pull-throughs and back-ends," with one guest in a 65-foot rig reporting that they did not have to unhook their tow vehicle for an overnight stay. The roads within the park are gravel, with concrete tire paths for easier navigation and parking.
While the majority of the feedback is positive, one reviewer did express concern regarding dog owners not picking up after their pets, noting that it was "everywhere around your campsite." This is an important point for prospective guests to be aware of, particularly if they are traveling with children or are sensitive to cleanliness in outdoor areas. It is hoped that the park management addresses this issue to ensure a more enjoyable experience for all guests. Despite this concern, the reviewer still described the park as "quiet," which can be a significant benefit for those seeking a peaceful and restful stay.

The Great Escape RV Park & Campground Reviews
We came in for an overnight stay, nice campsites, grassy areas between sites, concrete strips to park truck and trailer, level to 1 row of short blocks, laundry on site. We ran out of propane during the night and the owner drove over with his vehicle to pick up the tanks, filled them and brought them back to the camper, VERY reasonable prices for both the site and the propane! Nice guy, great customer service!
May 05, 2025 · Tracy MedlingThis is a pretty place. Tree lined, shady, grassy areas. Seasonal Swimming pool, shower facilities. Bar & grill must operate in seasonal fashion. Seems well kept, except for beware where you walk!!! Doggie owners are NOT picking up after their pets, and its everywhere around your campsite. Sad, and disgusting when its on your shoes & its not your pet! Quiet, full hookups, long pull-throughs and back-ends. We are 65 foot and did not have to unhook our tow vehicle for overnight stay. Gravel roads, concrete tire paths.
Apr 06, 2025 · Joy SeekerWonderful experience. Needed a quick, quiet stop on the way back to Colorado.Owner was super helpful on the phone, easy late check in. They also honor our Veterans with a discount.Fuel was very close. Highly recommend
Oct 14, 2024 · Deb StephensonFrom the start, the staff were helpful and accommodating. The price was awesome for our 3-night stay and the hookups worked as advertised.WiFi was not very good, probably due to the number of users. We were able to stream movies on my wife’s computer on Plex while tethered to our Verizon phone. Our site was a pull-through with lots of room. A little un-level and had to use chalks on one side.We used the laundry facility and there were several washers/dryers. $2 to wash then $2 to dry a batch of clothes. They provided quarters at the front desk.Grounds were clean as well as the washer/dryer area.I peeked in at one of the bathroom/showers they have available and they looked clean and roomy. (We just used our camper).Would definitely stay here again!
Sep 14, 2024 · Rusty EllisAffordable campground with gravel pull through spots. Full hook-ups. Laundry and showers are great. The salt water pool was all to ourselves. Great place to stop on your way through the area. Great western apparel store nearby and options for gas. Easy access to and from the highway. Recommend!
