The Oaks Inverness RV Park Introduce
If you are searching for "RV parks near me" in the Inverness, Florida area, The Oaks Inverness RV Park, located at 2000 S Bishop Point, Inverness, FL 34450, USA, offers a blend of positive attributes and ongoing development that potential guests should consider. This introduction aims to provide local users with a detailed and objective overview of The Oaks based on recent customer reviews to help you determine if it aligns with your RV travel needs.
One recent visitor described The Oaks Inverness RV Park as a "hidden gem," highlighting its "perfect" central location and its close proximity to beautiful cold springs, making it an "ideal spot for nature lovers." This suggests that the park benefits from a convenient location that allows easy access to local attractions, particularly the natural springs that the Inverness area is known for. The allure of nearby cold springs can be a significant draw for those who enjoy swimming, kayaking, and exploring natural aquatic environments.
The same reviewer also praised the park's peaceful atmosphere, noting "well-maintained grounds," "spacious sites," and the availability of "all the amenities you could need." This paints a picture of a resort that prioritizes the comfort and convenience of its guests, offering well-kept surroundings and ample space for RVs. The mention of "all the amenities you could need" suggests that the park is equipped with essential facilities to ensure a comfortable stay, although the specific amenities are not detailed in this review.
Furthermore, this positive review commended the staff as "friendly and welcoming" and described the overall atmosphere as "quiet and relaxing," making it "perfect for unwinding after a day of exploring." This highlights the importance of hospitality and a tranquil environment, which can greatly enhance the guest experience at an RV park, whether for a short getaway or a longer stay.
Another reviewer offered a more nuanced perspective, beginning by giving "5 stars to management (felicia and her husband and tyler)." They described the management as "incredibly accommodating, very friendly, and doing all they can to get this place up and running," emphasizing their efforts to ensure a pleasant stay. This strong positive feedback about the management team suggests a dedicated and caring approach to guest services, which can be a significant asset for any RV park, especially one that is undergoing development.
However, this same reviewer then provided reasons for giving the campsite an overall rating of 2 stars, pointing out some significant drawbacks. The first major concern raised was the access road, described as a "2 mile... yes 2 mile... sandy road full of pot holes and bumbs." The reviewer, particularly addressing those with "big expensive rigs," cautioned against this road, stating that it "literally made me nauseous." This is a critical piece of information for potential guests, as the condition of the access road can significantly impact the travel experience, especially for larger RVs or those sensitive to bumpy rides.
The second major point of concern was that "this park needs ALOT of work." While acknowledging that the management is "in the process of trying to make it nice," the reviewer reiterated that "it needs ALOT of work." This suggests that the park is currently undergoing development or renovation and may not yet be fully equipped or aesthetically refined. The reviewer also noted that "utilities have alot to be desired" and that "the lots are rocky and unlevelled," further indicating areas that need improvement.
Despite these infrastructural challenges, the reviewer acknowledged that if one is "looking for rural you're gonna get it," suggesting that the park offers a more rustic and off-the-beaten-path experience. They also observed that "there are many people who live in this park and their RVs are looking beat up," which might contribute to the overall aesthetic and potentially the atmosphere of the community.
The reviewer concluded by reiterating their positive impression of the management, thanking them for their kindness and help, and emphasizing the rural and remote nature of the location. This honest review provides a balanced perspective, highlighting the excellent management while also pointing out the significant challenges related to the access road and the park's current state of development.
Considering the "RV parks near me" category, The Oaks Inverness RV Park offers a location that is centrally situated near the natural attractions of Inverness, particularly the cold springs. The positive feedback regarding the friendly and accommodating management is a significant plus. However, potential guests must also weigh the considerable drawbacks of the long, sandy, and pothole-ridden access road, as well as the fact that the park appears to be in the midst of significant development and may have uneven sites and less-than-ideal utilities at present.
For RVers with smaller rigs or those who don't mind a more rustic and remote setting, and who highly value friendly management, The Oaks might be a viable option, especially given its proximity to nature. However, those with large or expensive RVs, or those who prefer well-paved roads and fully developed facilities, may want to exercise caution or inquire specifically about the current condition of the access road and the status of the park's infrastructure.
To obtain the most up-to-date information on the condition of the access road, the availability and quality of utilities, the levelness and condition of the RV sites, and the progress of any ongoing development, it is strongly recommended to contact The Oaks Inverness RV Park directly using the provided phone number:

Located at 2000 S Bishop Point, Inverness, FL 34450, USA, The Oaks offers a location that is appealing for its natural surroundings. However, potential guests should ensure that the current state of the park and its access road align with their travel preferences and the capabilities of their RV.
In conclusion, The Oaks Inverness RV Park presents a mixed picture. It boasts a central location near natural attractions and is praised for its friendly and accommodating management. However, it currently suffers from a long and challenging access road and is reportedly in need of significant development, with rocky and unlevel sites and less-than-ideal utilities. Potential guests should carefully consider these factors and contact the park directly for the most current information before making a reservation.

Mar 02, 2025 · Eunice WaklatsiFirst I want to give 5 stars to management (felicia and her husband and tyler). They are incredibly accommodating, very friendly, and doing all they can to get this place up and running. They did all they could to make our stay nice!. Those are my good points. Now why I give this camp site a 2... 1st the road... if you have a big expensive rig, you are not going to want to drive down this 2 mile... yes 2 mile... sandy road full of pot holes and bumbs. It literally made me nauseous. 2nd, this park needs ALOT of work. They are in the process of trying to make it nice but like I said it needs ALOT of work. Utilities have alot to be desired. The lots are rocky and unlevelled but if you're looking for rural you're gonna get it. There are many people who live in this park and their RVs are looking beat up. I hate to leave this type of review when management was so good but I'm leaving an honest review for the next potential guest. So if you stay here, they'll take care of you, just know it's RURAL and way off the beaten path. Felicia, you and Tyler are great and we truly appreciate what you're trying to do. Thank you for your kindness and help. Tyler, I never got to meet you but thank you for all your assistance before I even got there.
Apr 27, 2025 · Lloyd Holly CribbsAbsolutely loved my stay here! You can tell the management is dedicated to creating a truly special experience. The pool and hot tub, surrounded by the peaceful countryside, make for the perfect place to unwind. Even with ongoing renovations, they’ve put so much thought into the little details—cozy fires every night, scheduled events, and a welcoming atmosphere that makes you feel right at home. If this place is available, it’ll always be my first choice for a relaxing getaway!
Mar 02, 2025 · Enbar CohenBest bang for the buck. It’s extremely peaceful and relaxing. I personally love the morning walks around the trail and journaling. I needed a nice get away. Great location—close to cold springs and everything you need. The staff is super friendly. Highly recommend!
Mar 02, 2025 · Lance VernonWe stayed for a few nights. Staff was very friendly. Fresh coffee was served every morning. The park is located in a beautiful part of Florida. It’s gated, very shady and with enough space between lots. The bathrooms and showers were being renovated which will be nice when it’s done. There was also a pool accessible that was being maintenanced while we were there. We can’t wait to be back! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
